The Irith Dragon
is a quick, agile and clever creature. They have six eyes, three on each side of their head, big, rounded ears and a long, flexible tail used as both an arm and a whip. They have two toes on their hind feet and two on their front feet aswell as a small extra thumb. They have a slim build, perfect for running through crowded, overgrown forests. Both male and female dragons begins to grow a mane when they reach adulthood, but only the males get hair on their bellies. Irith Dragon males grow larger than the females, and their mane is longer, useful to make them look larger than they really are. The mane is soft as silk, and the females often let their offspring use their mane as a pillow when they are sleeping. Irith Dragons never grow larger than a great dane.

Irith Dragon Name: Set - Named after the Egyptian God that has the head of a jackal. This design seems to have an Egyptian feel to it, and though his design more closely resembles Anubis, I believe that his personality is closer to Set's. Set is the god of darkness and chaos, and this Irith Dragon is a thief.

Favourite Place: Perching on top of anything high up, specifically anything even remotely obelisk-shaped - especially in dry, desolate areas.

Reason: He likes to observe and oversee things, as well as pick out other places to perch. He'll spend hours, simply lounging and looking regal - probably acting like the god he thinks he is. Also, being a bit of a trouble maker, Set will slink down from his perch if he spies something of interest, occasionally stealing a shiny thing or two. If caught in the act, he can easily scramble back up again and wait out the chasers. He's rather quick at climbing.

“Aurelian was a very young Irith at the time,
and he loved to explore and adventure new places.
But sometimes, his curosity got the best of him. One day,
he was walking around, wandering farther away from his
parents every step. He didn't know where he was going
and he didn't want to know, he loved suprises. His paw
pads felt something at his feet, it was a dusty golden dirt
that whiped and danced through the air as if the wind was
luring him in. He danced with the sand throughout the day,
then settled down for a nap, closing his eyes ever so slightly,
he caught a glimplse of the beautiful sunset. Its was mezmerizing,
the colors of the sunset made all of the worry in his mind melt
away, he couldn't look away, he didn't want to. Since then, he has
lived in the desert and watched blissfully as the sun set every night,
like it was what he was supposed to do.”

Favourite place: The Flower Meadows Next to His Forest Home

Reason: Milind feels very at peace in the quiet meadows just outside of his home. They provide a beautiful array of colors to admire, and the quiet hum of bees is very calming to him. He loves to lay there on his back in a passive, relaxed daze, just breathing in the pollen-filled air. Milind forgets all his troubles and worries in the meadows, which is why he loves them as much as he does. The meadows are also home to those that Milind considers his best friends -- the honey bees. He never seemed to fit in quite right within his own species, often cast aside as a "weirdo", "freak", or other snide names. While the rest of the young males raced, fought or competed with one another, Milind was found relaxing in the meadows. The stress caused by Milind's differences were washed away when he was surrounded by the hum of his friends.
Milind himself also looks very similar to his buzzing friends, and his name is derived from them as well.
