Lumos Bunny # 40 -ended-

Postby azazel. » Wed Apr 24, 2013 11:35 am

What Are Lumos Bunnies?

Lumos (or Lantern) Bunnies are a dark colored species of rabbit, a bit smaller than a medium sized dog, with lantern-like markings and tufts of fur. Their markings can be of any neon color, pattern and size! There even can be a Lumos Bunny with up to 5 colors! But no more than that. Always always always they have striped, or ringed, tails, and very rarely do you have a plain Lumos Bunny or one that has brightly colored main fur, like yellow or lime green. Lumos Bunnies are herbivores; they eat nothing but plants. Never ever would they eat another animal. Maybe the occasional bug on accident. Lumos Bunnies live in pairs during the mating season, but often they are solitary, aside from a select few that mate for life.

I like this one a lot <3 so it's gonna take a lot to get it from me.

Bunny Name: Rain Drop ( His fur looks like dripping rain :3 ! but I may change !
Bunny Gender: Genderless ( Male ?
Bunny's Favorite Hobby: Cuddling, reading books, looking up at the stars, painting and watching sunsets :3 he also enjoys warm rainy days and watching the northern lights as well as chasing them!
Bunny's Fondest Memory/story!: The time he's spend with his mother c: he had no brothers or sisters, so for most of the days he tagged along with his beautiful mother exploring the lands, hunting for food and talking with some of the other mystical animals, his mother was everything to him, if she was gone he would have no where to turn, but live on his own, He never understood why his dad had to leave, mother always told him it was just the way things were, it didn't bother him much since he had his mother but as he grew older it happened again...One wonderful spring morning he was running around chasing a butterfly, He wasn't as young as he used to be, he was now in his teenage years, all his friends are as well, they don't play with him much though, he was alittle different, That morning his mother was laying down, she was becoming very old and it was her time soon, She called him over to talk to him about the circle of life how babies are born and when they get older they will have to leave there mothers and find mates, he didn't like the sound of that, but walked It off, his mother was having trouble walking and had asked him to go pick some fruits but once he returned he discovered something terrible.. his mother would not wake up.. Nor was she breathing, He dropped the berries and ran over to his mother trying to wake her up, after a few minutes of trying he softly dropped his head and let a small tear fall down his cheek he knew she was gone forever.. his whole life, That night he decided to move to another land piece and care for himself.. along the way he makes new friends and maybe meets a special someone..

~ He's such a cutie! Especially with the glasses! ~Squee~ >w<

Bunny Name:
Rain

Bunny Gender: Genderless

Bunny's Favorite Hobby:
Rain has been through their share of ups and downs in life; Rain's favorite hobby is poetry.
Rain really enjoys how they can express themselef through it.

Note: It is really hard to know how to refer to someone who is genderless. (I think it is impossible in the English language. So I know I used some words improperly, but I tried to make it plausible. I felt like it was a better idea than using the Rain's name three or four times per sentence.)
Hopefully it's not too confusing.

Bunny's Fondest Memory:
My fondest memory was when the dearest friend I have ever had spent the day with me. She was the kindest Lumos I have ever met, and she really seemed to understand me. (We weren't thinking of becoming mates or anything, we were just very good friends.) I didn't know that would be the last time I would ever see her, although there was that nagging thought lingering in the very back of my mind.
She came to my house in the morning and we went to take a walk in the park. It was a sunny Summer day and we both loved nature. We walked for awhile, enjoying nature and chatting, then we even started playing on the playground despite the fact that we were probably too old for such things. We were having so much fun that it felt like we were young children. I can just imagine what those who saw us must have thought: two out of college young adults playing around, like children without a care in the world, on a playground. However we couldn't help but remember that we had no idea where the following weeks of our lives would take us. We wanted to enjoy our time together. It was warm out so we decided we should get some ice cream, a treat we both liked. After we finished we walked over to a restaurant to get lunch. It was funny because we decided to walk back to the same ice cream shop after lunch for some more ice cream, dessert you know.
We went back to my house, but unfortunately before we could go outside to play our planned game of tennis, it started raining so we had to settle for board games and card games. She mentioned that she loved rain because it always reminded her of me, and we laughed for probably the thousandth time she's said that, which was still corny like the first time. We played until someone mentioned that it was too bad we weren't able to play tennis. And my friend wondered, with a playful tone, why we couldn't do it in the house! We set up our own version of tennis and had a lot of fun. After we were done, right out of the blue she asked me if there was anything else I was hoping to do outside today, and we ended up doing quite a few things that shouldn't be done indoors. Hahaha, we had a lot of fun. (She always was rather unconventional and random, which led to a lot of fun. She really thought outside of the box) Then it stopped raining and the sun came back out for a bit so we went outside to play in the puddles and observe the changes in nature after a rain.
We ate dinner on the porch, everything was so pretty in the light of the setting sun. Then we watched a movie and talked and laughed through the whole thing. We talked about a lot that day. After cleaning up from dinner, we watched the stars, one thing we really enjoyed doing. We each must have fallen asleep a dozen times. Then about two and a half hours in, she gave me something. It was a poem that she said she wrote while I was asleep. It surprised me. It was really special because she knows I have loved poetry since late in grade (elementary) school. I've even given her several poems I've written myself but this was only the second time, that I know of, that she tried writing poetry herself. It said:

Rain reminds me of you.
When the skies are grey not blue
it's just like me without you.
You're my best bud 'till the end,
and though others may think we're crazy,
we always do it together.
That's what friends are for,
to be there for each other.
We were made to be friends and that's how we'll stay.
Although we don't know where we're going
always friends we will be
and the rain will remind you and me
until the day we meet again.
    forever friends

It made me smile so big. It wasn't the best poem but it was really special because it was from her. It is my favorite poem to this day.
After several more hours of watching the stars, it had started to rain and the sky was spotted with patches of clouds and patches of stars. We were both awake and she suggested we go dance in the rain, but I didn't really want to. She took my arm and pulled me into the rain. We danced around spinning and jumping until we were nearly about to fall over. We went back inside to dry off. It must have been two o'clock in the morning and for some reason we both decided it was a great time for ice cream. We talked for a bit longer before falling asleep. It was the best day of my entire life. I will never forget it, or her. I hope one day we see each other again.
Rainy days have since been my favorite and most creative. I have tried many times to write a poem about that amazing day and my wonderful friend. Although I have never written anything that quite captures the memories of that day and our friendship. I have never had so much trouble writing a poem, but I am still trying. (I long to capture my dearest memories in the medium of my passion.)

{[...Adopted by the King's note: I have a story about why Rain hasn't seen her since then, but it is kind of long because it is a bit complicated. So I decided to leave it out, but it would go before the previous paragraph...]}

I'm really excited, because if I get this character I will have to work on writing poems more which would be really fun to explore.
And I'm sorry it ended up kind of long, that is why I left out the explanation for why Rain hasn't seen her since then.

A spoiler in Rain's story (that they don't know about)
is that Rain will see their best friend again!

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! I'm extremely excited right now (I also just saw that I won the other Lumos I was trying for). It is so hard to express your gratitude and excitement over the internet :| That is one thing I don't like... :D because I am Really Happy right now! I am completely going to go to the Oekaki and draw a picture of my three Lumos bunnies (I love them all <3) and I will try to make it quality.
I'm sorry I rambled. What I mean to say is: "Thank you so much! I love all three of my Lumos Bunnies very much!"
