Favorite Summer Hobby:
Scorch always has taken quite a liking to wake boarding. Just the rush it gives him is enough to keep him returning to the beach every year. He loves being able to spend the time outside, in the sun, and with his friends (most of whom are on the boat). For Scorch, it's a great way to "cure" the typical summer boredom as well as keep cool when it's warm. It's an overall awesome sport, in his opinion.

Summer
Oh how I love you
And what I shall say now is true
You make the days bright
I feel invigorated, too
For everything's warm
Kids play around
and while on the beach, I settle down
Coasting among the waves,
What a wonderful feat
And oh the rush I feel
As I do flips, and the water splashes about me
This is truly why
I love the season so much
Because when I do what I love
I feel touched
By the sun
By the water
By...everything
So let’s thank the summer
For not being a bummer
and for being a genuine gift
To us all

warm days, cools nights,
twinkling of, sparkly lights.
gaze into the distant sky,
and watch the sun, wave goodbye.
back and forth, and back again,
i rock and wait, for my favourite freinds.
in the water we swim all day,
and with the surf we ride away.
Summer I wish you would never end,
but when you leave, remember, I love you, my friend.

Poem:
Tang of salt and ocean spray,
Equal exhilaration passing by day,
To be called at dawn and dismissed at dusk,
From sea's great might to shack dark and robust,
Always longing for the ocean.

Stiff board beneath rocking paw,
Feels currents ripple, stares in awe,
As soothing waves crash onto shore,
But to a single creature one thing is sure,
He will always long for the ocean.
