Roxanne
\rox(an)-ne\
A girl's name is pronounced roks-ANN. It is of Persian origin, and the meaning of Roxanne is "dawn". Roxandra is a contemporary blend of Roxane and Alexandra, appropriate since Roxane was the Persian princess Alexander the Great married during his travels of conquest. Roxane is the heroine of Rostand's play "Cyrano de Bergerac".

Roxanne was born into wealth, as both of her parents were the leader of a pack. She grew up rather spoiled, always getting first choice of prey or always going wherever she preferred, she was quite the 'only child' type. As a child she often spoke her mind, which did get her into loads of trouble at times. Overall she was the popular type, always knowing first and knowing everything about everyone, and was generally well liked.
As she grew older, her parents had much trouble finding feathers suitable for a kiamara such as herself. Her earrings, which she had since she was a toddler to show her wealth and position in the pack, had been very hard to match and they only had successfully gotten one feather for her thus far. Her parents searched for months on end with no conclusion, until the death of her mother's mother, or her grandmother. There she had found her grandmother had been saving beautiful golden jewels, perhaps for her mother but she had forgotten. They figured they should not let such beautiful things go to waste, and thus her new jewels were given to her and worn to this day.
Despite her being quite the happy child, she has been very troubled by her parent's death, shortly after she received the jewels. She doesn't find joy easily, and rules her pack with a constant bitterness. She would be described as a rain cloud on a sunny day by other's, but to herself she is just constantly reminded of her parent's murder.
