What is a Jellybean Dragon?
A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored, neat, and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are mostly gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

He is brother/cousin to Charlie's Maxine!
I personally see him as a boy, but if you desperately see it as a girl, you may change that.



What is the contest?
It will be very simple, to draw a picture.



It must be by you, though you can have others help you with it.

Nighttime



And you may intemperate those however you wish. I want to see you playing around with some lighting effects!

While I'm under the water, It's a way to clam down all my emotions. Whenever I'm mad or sad, I go down there and just cry and swim until I feel better. Sometimes it takes a while, but it's worth it. Whether it's being angry at a friend or a bad break up, a good midnight swim in the lake behind my house is a great way to calm down.

Name Meaning:

Since Cress is based off of a water-dwelling animal, I wanted his name to not only fit his personality, but also be related to water. I named him after watercress, a small aquatic or semi-aquatic plant that is one of the oldest known leaf vegetables consumed by humans. It has a peppery, tangy flavor and produces clusters of small white and green flowers.

Description of Art:

Watercress, to me, seems like a cheery yet thoughtful young bean. I wanted to convey this through my artwork, creating a peaceful and thoughtful nighttime scene with Cress smiling joyfully up at the full moon. He also loves nature and enjoys swimming outside in natural bodies of water, thus I drew Watercress floating happily in a clear little pond.
