Work in progress.

Name: Linburn

Personality:
Linburn is eager to please, and strives to show her parents her potential. She aspires to be a world-renowned thief. The thing is, she doesn't think of herself as a thief; instead, she prefers the term a robin hood {of a sort.} She does what she calls house cleaning: breaking into a house belonging to a wealthy entrepreneur or along those lines and clears out a few of their special items, normally ranging from an antique amulet to a full silver bust.

Story {their first robbery?}:
The lockpick was extremely close to breaking. Sweat dripped out of Linburn's every pore. This was her second-to-last one. She very cautiously rotated the little metal sliver a bit to the right. It quivered just a bit and she bit her lip. She stopped and turned it the other way. Finally, after searching for quite a bit, the lock emitted the famed clicking sound, music to Linburn's ears. She grinned from ear to ear and, silently as a shadow, slid in through a crack in the doorway.
She shut the door behind her and stood very, very still. She didn't dare take a breath. After a few seconds {that seemed like an eternity}, Linburn sunk to the floor and viewed her surroundings. It appeared the first room you encountered was the living room. The door she had entered in was on the right side. There was a table in the center of the room which stood on an unbelievably plush rug, accompanied by two sofas. Linburn slithered under the table and into the next room, a green and brown sunroom with lots of windows. She spotted her first piece of loot -- an ashtray. But oh, no, not just one. A whole bookshelf full of them! She could barely contain her excitement! She dragged a burlap bag to the base of the bookshelf and held it to the first piece of pottery to catch her eye. It was a lion-shaped ashtray, forest green with rubies for eyes. It was so unbelievably gorgeous, but surely the family wouldn't miss it.
One down, two to go. Linburn liked to steal exactly three items every sweep -- no more, no less. Now onto the second.
She encountered the second item in the dining room as her eyes lifted up to see a piece of incredibly fine China, complete with a set of beautiful silverware. Perfect. She was careful not to let this one break, however, and put it in a torn piece of Styrofoam before laying it gently on top of the ashtray.
Slowly, Linburn crept down the hall. To the left was what appeared to be the parents' bedroom. To the right, a young girl's bedroom. She chose the latter. The little girl appeared to by lying in her bed, snuggling a stuffed blue bunny rabbit with a ribbon tied 'round its neck. Linburn sighed as a tear rolled down her left cheek, remembering terrible, terrible memories. Once, when Linburn was little and unintroduced to thievery, she had a stuffed blue bunny rabbit, just like that one, but, being a young JBD, she carelessly dropped it into a puddle of water, where it was swept into the sewers. Linburn wouldn't take the bunny, for even a thief can feel bad for a little girl without a precious stuffed animal.
Soon, after finding nothing of value, Linburn gave up. She exited through the same door she entered and returned to her parents on the other side of the street, eager to show them the results of her first mission.

Family Interaction:

Sharkie and Loki; Linburn's favorite people in the family. She is nearly always trying to please them by any means.
Amphirite and Alepoi; Linburn's siblings. Even though she spends her free time trying to outdo them in any way possible, she loves them dearly. She simply has a hard time showing it.

Story: Haidee’s First Step
The funny thing about stealing is that people think it’s a bad thing. And okay, maybe it is, but I wouldn’t know. I’ve been doing it all my life. Let me tell you about my first try.
I was probably about six or seven years old when my dad decided to introduce me to the fine art of thievery. He and Mom did it, after all, so why shouldn’t I learn too? He encouraged me, telling me it was nothing, piece of cake. I resisted, probably because my six-year old mind told me it was wrong, don’t do it, Dee! Eventually I let him persuade me, and regretted it soon after when he got me those gloves.
‘They’ll never know it was you, Dee,’ my dad soothed. ‘These gloves won’t leave any fingerprints. Just get in there and take something! Better start with something small, something that’ll fit in your pouch. Like that, there.’ He pointed to a pack of baseball cards on display.
‘Dad! I don’t even like baseball! Why would I take that?’ I whined. I guess I was looking for a way out, so he wouldn’t make me go through with it. But something in the back of my mind kept nagging me. There were a million boxes there, who would even notice one missing?
So, donning the thin black gloves, I ventured into the store. I only got as far as the door, though, because a horrible thought hit me. I turned around and asked, ‘…Dad? You didn’t steal these, right?’
My dad only winked at me and waved for me to go on. Taking a deep breath, I walked up to the automatic door and ran into a snarl: It didn’t open. My small weight wasn’t enough to register, and the door stayed shut. I ran back to my dad in relief and explained the situation to him, hoping he would let me out now.
He didn’t. Instead of taking pity, he just went into the store with me. He said it would be less suspicious to see a little girl shopping with her dad than on her own, anyway, and he was pretty calm about it. Dad walked me over to the pyramid of cards, and began staging a very convincing conversation with a young daughter that started with, ‘But baseball is so exciting, so why don’t you like it?’ Putting his paw causally on my shoulder, he nudged me forward. I took it as my cue, and stepped up to the table.
Looking around, I noticed a security guard by the door and panicked. I tried to run away, but my dad, still carrying on his (completely one-sided) argument with me, put a paw on my head. He looked down at me, I looked up at him, and he smiled. I couldn’t help smiling back, and so, filled with new confidence, I turned back to the table of cards.
The security guard left, maybe just for a coffee, but whatever it was, it was my window of opportunity. I picked up a pack of cards, pretending to ponder, why didn’t I like baseball?, while really waiting for nobody to be looking. When I was sure everyone had looked away, I slipped the cards into my pouch and turned to look up at my dad.
‘You know Dad, I think I might give baseball a chance,’ I told him, grinning up at his proud face. A wink told me everything I needed to know: That’s the way to do it. We’re proud of you, Dee.
Turning to the exit, Dad put out his paw, and I took the cards out of my pouch. I hid them in to own paw, and pretended to hold his hand. With another wink, my dad slipped them quickly into his pouch, and we walked out the door together, like a normal father and daughter.
Things changed for me after that awkward first attempt. I became both heavier and lighter on my feet, and sneakier, too. I now have seven pairs of gloves (they can be useful, I’ll admit), three hats, and fifteen packs of baseball cards. And I’ll be the first to confess that okay, baseball isn’t all that bad.
