Mahogany's Biggest Wish:
When I was a baby, I looked happy and healthy, and I was. But I was most definitely different. You see; I was born deaf.
I don't let it stop me. I've learned to lip-read, I've learned sign-language. I can even speak. But I have never heard a sound. Not a song, not a bird, not even the voice of my own mother. I can't hear my own laugh. I can't hear my friends' voices. I can't hear how my name sounds when my father calls me for dinner like my friends can. I wish I could hear my name, Mahogany, on my mother's lips as she tucks me in at night. I wish I could her my father congratulating me for winning a sports game. I wish I could hear my friends laughs calling me to play with them. On my birthday, I know they all sing happy birthday to me, but I can't hear it. When I grow up, I wish I'd be able to hear my children singing happily and my beautiful mate whispering, "I love you, Mahogany."

But the worst of it all, I can't hear my own voice. I can't hear myself laugh or sing or even cry. And, more than anything, I would one day like to hear my voice. Just one word, one syllable would be enough. I wish I could hear what my name sounds like when I say it. Just once, I would never forget,

Rosheta's bigest wish is to visit china, and see fireworks over a geat temple on new years day. It has always been her dream, ever scence she visited there when she was five. Her and her family had heared abought the new years celabreation, but they coulden't go because her mother had fallen ill.
