daredevil. he lives to
push himself, try new
exciting things, and
just be the best
daredevil throughout
his whole family. he
wants to be the greatest
daredevil in the whole
jbd world, but we won't
get into that... he
kinda-sorta likes to
dream about stuff,
but we don't - can't
mention that around
him. trust me, don't
do it. trust me...

i'm assuming you've
heard of the term
"wild child?" well, yes,
toxin is exactly
that. he loves to stir
up trouble, and just
do anything crazy!
toxin likes to party,
and just be a wild
child! he loves it,
almost as much
as he loves graffiti.
yeah, he has taken
to a habit of making
graffiti art in his
spare time. not the
best activity for a
reckless bean like
him, but he really
enjoys it.

well... yes, toxin
can be one snarky
bean. he really
can. he doesn't
try to be, but
it's just kind of
his personality..
he finds it hard
to try to change
his personality. it
is really
complicated... so,
yeah, he's snarky.

toxin is stubborn as
well. he likes to do
things his own way
and it takes a while
to change his mind.
he tends to talk back,
always thinking
that his way is
the better
way. once he
makes up his mind
on something, well,
that's basically
what he sticks
with. he's stubborn.

When I saw Toxin I couldn't believe someone would put him up for re-adoption, and after stalking the thread for several days I decided I would do my best to become his new mama. I swore I would never enter another "do whatever" style contest after losing a bean who's form I put many hours of work into, but then I saw Toxin. I have my wonderful bean Oggy who I adore but I've never felt compelled to draw a JBD as much as I have with Toxin. I have several sheets of paper from where I was just having fun doodling him. I'm going to go all out for Toxin in the hopes that I'll wow you and win this chance to be Toxin's forever home.

Personality

~ Reserved ~

Toxin is the bean that sits in the back of the class, the bean who no one notices until he says something, the bean who is never seen outside of school. Toxin isn't like this because he dislikes everyone else but, because he's afraid everyone else would dislike him. He fears the rejection of his peers because when Toxin was very young he was picked on, and this is one of the reasons he is reserved.


~ Standoffish ~

To most, Toxin seems unkind and distant. Say someone who Toxin isn't close comes up to him, he gets extremely nervous and essentially he just shuts down. Toxin doesn't mean to come off this way, it's just he never knows what to say. Often times Toxin is just standing back, away from the crowd thinking, and because of this it may seem like he is just glaring off into space or glaring at someone. Once when he was doing just that another bean thought he was staring at them, this unfortunate misunderstanding led to a small scuffle and a visit to the principle's office. This incident just led Toxin to become more standoffish.


~ Shy ~

When Toxin is around those he truly knows and trusts, he can and will be the center of attention and the life of the party, but when around those he just met or doesn't know well Toxin just likes to be in the background. When Toxin doesn't know someone well he feels extremely awkward around them and just prefers to stay silent so he doesn't embarrass himself. Toxin is also just a quiet bean, he doesn't need to talk as much as some other beans do. Toxin can be unsure of himself and of what others may think or say about him, and this is just another reason he's shy.


~ Determined ~

When Toxin wants to accomplish something he will do anything and everything in his power to accomplish his goal. Toxin is not a bean who gets half way through something and stops when things get tough. He would rather complete one difficult goal then complete ten simple goals. When Toxin was about sixteen he wanted to learn how to play the drums. He didn't have much time to practice and many thought he would just give up, but that's not what Toxin is like. Toxin never leaves things unfinished and after months of very hard work Toxin played his first complete drum solo, this is just one instance where Toxin was determined.


~ Loving ~

On the outside Toxin may seem cold, or even cruel, but that is not what's truly inside him. Toxin has a warm heart, but most have never seen it because they just see what's on the outside. To others Toxin may seem angry and depressed, but that's only because they don't try to really get to know him. Once when Toxin was about eleven he saw some other young beans chasing a kitten and trying to catch it. Toxin knew they they weren't trying to harm the animal, but he could see how terrified the poor thing was. Toxin immediately ran up to the others and stepped in their way, giving the kitten time to get away. Even though the other beans were angry with him, Toxin knew he had done the right thing. After that Toxin came to where the kitten lived and left food and water for it everyday, this was one time where Toxin was what no one had expected him to be, loving.


~ Courageous ~

Toxin may be shy, and he may be quiet, but one thing that makes Toxin truly amazing is his courage. Although Toxin may occasionally have trouble standing up for himself he never has trouble standing up for others. If Toxin sees someone or something who can't protect themselves he will defend them. Several years ago Toxin saw a group of beans yelling at and picking on a much younger bean, and although he knew that they could quite easily beat him to a pulp. Toxin stood his ground even though he didn't have to and the odds were against him, and from then on he told himself he would always do his best to protect the ones who can't protect themselves. Toxin will always do what he believes is right no matter what others may think, and because of this I know that he is courageous.

~ 0 Years ~

A fluffy little bundle lay curled against his mother, warm and content.


~ 5 Years ~

Little beans ran around the playground, frolicking happily with one another. As older beans and humans looked on, marveling at their innocence, one little bean sat away from the others. The little lone bean sat, happily building a sandcastle, content to be away from the others. Some of other little beans pointed at him and whispered, curious as to why he sat alone. What the other little beans didn't know however, was that the little lone bean couldn't have been happier.


~ 10 Years ~

There were people and beans everywhere, pushing, shoving, trying to get ahead. Stumbling along behind his mother a rather small bean came to a stop. The little one was looking up, up up up, up to the tip top of some of the tallest buildings in the world. The little bean beamed at his mother, hopping from one foot to the other in anticipation before racing through the doors of the largest toy store in New York City.


~ 15 Years ~

A teenage bean sat quietly in his desk waiting for the bell to ring. He shrugged on his backpack and stood up from his desk as the loud chime rang through the halls. The bean walked through the hall with his head down, getting shoved and knocked into. He tripped and fell, his backpack smothering him. The other young beans hardly noticed him, parting like water around him. The bean stood up and dusted himself off, confident that things would get better.


~ 20 Years ~

The two beans walked together, hand in hand, down the quiet country road. A fool could tell that they were in love, the way they looked into each others eyes, the way they beamed when they looked one another. For months the two could be seen walking the same road together, for months it was just the two of them. One day however the female never came, the male walked the road alone this day, and every day after. Some thought that he was lonely, which he was, but what they could never know is that no matter what happened, he would carry his first love in his heart forever.


~ 25 Years ~

Alone, the tall dragon stood at the edge of the train tracks. While people and beans went too and fro the one bean stood, away from everyone. I look of pain crossed his features as he thought. He was leaving everything he had ever known, leaving everyone, but as he stepped on to the train the bean realized that this wasn't nearly the end he had first thought it was, it was just the beginning. The lone dragon smiled at the thought, and began the long ride to his new home, and his new life.
