Mother:
I named my beautiful, precious darling after Jasmine, the Princess in the Aladdin films and tales. I simply adore her.
Father:
She just had to have her baby be named Jasmine. Of course, her fur colour reminded me of my fondest jasmine tea. Doesn't her name suit her well?

A paw bats at the bell around the youngster's neck. She smiles, wiggling a little excitedly at the thought of explaining herself and her seemingly precious gifts for her own guests.

'My crown is from my momma and papa. They said it's from my grandmomma - I don't know who she is, but she was a very very pretty kiamara! This was her crown when she was young for dressing up, and momma thought I should wear it to be a princess! She says I'm going to be a real princess one day! Maybe Wrecks will be a real dinosaur too?
My bell, papa says, has been with me since I was super duper duper small. Like a baby! How weird is that? I was soooo small, but now I'm much much bigger! My ribbon is washed a lot, so it sparkles, and Wrecks helps me to shine my bell. It makes a pretty noise when I walk! Sometimes momma says I sound like a kitten with it, but it's so cute and I think it's magical. I cuddled it one night and the tooth fairy came and left me money! It's so so magic, I know it!
My ribbon on my tail? ... It's pretty. Just because I like dinosaurs and playing in the garden doesn't mean I'm not wanting to be pretty! I am the cutest dinosaur princess!'

who is your prince, little princess?;;
The Kia giggles and sticks out her little tongue, holding out an old, ragged and well-loved plush from her huge box of toys. Its' fur is worn out and a little sticky in places, but the pride on her face shows that this little Princess adores her plush.

'This is Sir Wrecks! And he is my Prince! Momma says he is my knight in shining armor because he protects me from the nasty, nasty kiamara that would try to steal me and eat me up in their tummy! That's silly! And gross...'


who exactly are you, little one? ;;

Another chime of a giggle and the flutter of ribbons sound. Her nose presses behind her protector dinosaur's head, who remains limp in her hold, lifeless as all plushes are. She fishes for a little piece of paper dotted in crayon marks and paint splatters - an information sheet? Oh, it's from a diary! How bizarre... Yet, curious, you read on, eager to know more of this proud little girl. The spelling is rather awful, but you correct it as you read to keep your own understanding.

'Dear diary,
Momma told me to write about myself today. I just learned how to spell parachute today! I love them! But if I want to write about myself, I will start now! What do I say? Oh! I love dinosaurs! I love love loooove dinosaurs! Momma says they're not 'lady-like' but I loves my dinobabies! They're so cool and stompy and their big teeth are cool and they go roaaar! I love boys' toys, they get such cool stuff! I want them all! I guess I'm what momma calls a 'tom-boy'? That word is so silly!

It's funny when people call me a princess when I wear my crown. I'm not reaaaally a princess! Momma and Papa just like to call me their princess. Princesses live in castles but we don't have a castle. I don't think princes are real, except the ones in Europe! I wanna visit there, the pictures are cute! I also wanna have a puppy so I'm going to ask momma later for one... She says I'm going to be spoiled but I don't know what that means! I waaaant one! Ponies are soooo boring! :'(

I like to play and be... Whassa word? A social butterfly? Yeah! Yeah that! 'cause I'm not a real butterfly, I just wanna be one that wants to play with everyone. Momma worries a lot though and I feel lonely sometimes, but it's okay, Sir Wrecks is here, he is always here!

I'm still collecting my bows! I have lotsa them now! But right now I wanna go swimming in the pool. Bye diary, I love you!

Jasmine grins, scampering to the dressing table to pick up a small, jewel-covered box. Her paw strokes over the top fondly as she offers it up to you, gesturing kindly for you to open it up.
'My music box is pretty, isn't it! It plays the cutest song... !'
She hums to the soft tune of 'Simple and Clean' with you, dancing in her circle slowly to the gentle tune, ribbons flowing. What a charming little girl, you think! She thinks so too.

tell me, little one, do you have friends?;;
The little kiamara's eyes light up and she beams - but the shimmer in her eye fades the more she thinks. Her brows furrow and she tries to think of something, but it seems difficult for her. Then, as if by magic, she produces some little drawings from a book, her expression proud.

'Momma and Papa have lots of friends.. ! I know them, too! There's me and my Knight Wrecks, but uhhhm... See them? I know them!

That's Biochemical!
He is a dumb dumb with big ears! He says he makes music, but he just makes my ears hurt and is soooo mean!
I don't wanna be mean, so I say he is a friend too! He is fluffy...'

a vision of a princess's future?;;

Jasmine gnaws on the end of the crown she removes from her head, seeming to ponder over the question somewhat, but the glimmer of thought in her mind runs across her eyes, and she soon smiles up towards her guests. Her parents smile from afar, removing themselves from the room to ready the guests' retreat from their home. Jasmine touches at your hand, grin wide.

'Momma wants me to do things with make-up, but I don't wanna do that. I'd like to go find dinosaurs in the desert, and be queen of them all! We go to the museum sometimes and see the bones, they're so funny! Sir Wrecks gets sad though, I have to cover his eyes and give him lots of cuddles to make him better. When I grow up... When I grow up, I want to do that! I want a biiiig dinosaur skeleton in my house! And and and I want a big pool! Do you swim? I swim! Papa says I am really good at it! I am a water baby! Look at my picture!'

Jasmine's father, having listened in, laughs a little and re-enters the room, shaking his head as he sits to answer the question again but from his own perspective.

'I suppose we see her developing in her own way as her life progresses, of course that is true of all children, but we hope she shall continue to be our princess and want for nothing. I may have in store future friends for her to meet, possible future husbands, but I shall not force her into anything. Her life is her own, but if you as her handler could help her to grow and prosper, my love and I would be most thankful. Her personality flitters from time to time, as does her mood. Perhaps she may grow to be quite the handful? I'm afraid spoiled may also be on the cards, which may be our fault, but I doubt anybody could say no to her beautiful little face. My Jasmine's crown will always be with her, I know as much. Whether she grows to believe she is truly a princess, I do not know. For now, it seems she is happy to pretend. I am happy to provide what she needs, and watch her grow into a - hopefully - wonderful, polite young lady with quite the regal stance in life.'

hi there. this is where i will take a moment to explain why i would dearly love to own this little girl, and what a beautiful girl she is. as soon as i saw her and her princess-y personality, it all clicked for me. i have always wanted a character with a spoiled attitude and loved the princess game with all it includes. i have yet to roleplay with a child kiamara, and it is something i've waited until seeing this girl to do! with her, i'd love to be able to expand on the skeleton of her personality i have written out in this form and allow her to make friends. as you do! : )
this little princess has meant a lot to me and has expanded so much whilst writing out my form for her, and she is so much more than a design; she has really become dear to me as a complete character with so much potential.
if i could own Jasmine, i would be so pleased, but i wish everyone the best of luck. the competition has been amazing.
