With the beat of a stingray sounding through my ears,
and fish eating casually
Not even the sharks are out,
and not even the fish are alert and about.

I've come to notice that something is calming them,
with the voice of a mermaid,
and the looks of a beautiful woman from the city of Salem.
I find her hovering there, singing to the small fish,
and my heart skips a beat.
I've fallen in love with this maiden, a beautiful butterfly fish.

It doesn't mean he fell in love with a fish, but he's describing the girl he fell for is as beautiful as that.

Girls are silly things,
Often admiring butterflies' wings.
They dance and twirl,
And claim it's better to be a girl,
Though I don't thing it is so.

Girls talk far too much for me,
And they often sound like a buzzing bee.
They laugh and they giggle,
And make other noises me that cause my ears to wriggle.
