Why is it a heart? He was young and fell in love. So the female and him put a heart on each other's shoulder. She later left him for another male and he was angry. He tried to rub it off but it never did. So now it looks like a heart scraped across his shoulder.

Why is it a heart? He has a heart on his shoulder because everytime he fell in love the heart would grow a shade darker bbut if the female broke his heart the heart would begain to smear. One day he found a mate and was happy, his heart a full black. Soon thought he found his mate with another male and his heart begain to smear. She left him because his heart was smearing and now it is how it is.

-> Well... Lets just say that when he gets a girl.. he looses her a minuet later. His love lift is very complicated. He one day woke up from a dream to see a black colored heart on his shoulder. Surprised he tried to rub it off but the only thing that did was smear it. Kaiva one day found the 'girl of his dreams' so to speak. But once she saw his smeared heart she dumped him then and there thinking it was a sign of bad luck. He now and forever has that symbol other Kaba's are to believe is bad luck.
