Name: " M-My name i-is Rafiki, b-but you can c-call me Kia or Ki-Ki.
Gender:female
Fact about opossums: Opossums' very clingy/prehensile (gripping) tails are used as an extra limb when they climb. I knew tails are generally used for balance, but hadn't heard of them gripping, so I found this pretty coolio.
Favorite thing about his/herself: Kia's favorite thing about herself is actually, her stutter. When she was a young bean she was teased because in stressful situations, like introductions or speeches of any kind, she starts to stutter and freeze up. She used to hate her stutter because none of the other young beans had a stutter and she was jealous. Over time though she realized that her stutter is what makes her different and unique from all of the other beans. She likes that she has something that no one else she knows has, even if it is, sometimes, frustrating and embarrassing.
Art of him/her playing dead: "A-Alive? W-What?! NO!"

Rafiki and the Night Symphony:
The night is like a song to me. It is the only time when I'm not afraid of the world and it's creatures. Mostly. The lush blue grass whistles around me as I bound across the open ground. The light wind sings of far away places, the soprano, the spices of summer and the crisp berry smell of winter to come. My paws fly underneath me, a mind of their own. I am soaring through the starry sky and yet connected to the earth around me in a way only known to one of its creatures.
A shape looms ahead of me and I instantly freeze. I feel my muscles turn to jelly and I fall from that satin sky. I don't want to pretend to be dead, I want to over come this fear, or at least get used to it like I embrace my stutter.
"Who are you?" The musical voice asks. The creature can obviously see me so I try to overcome my stiff limbs.
"I-I-I-I'm R-Rafiki." I squeeze out through numb lips. I want to get away so badly but the voice of this being isn't so scary, with it's low, soothing tones. I think, maybe, I could get used to it.
"Are you lost?"
"N-No. Just r-running." He- I think it's a he- laughs like molasses and says,
" A night owl like me I guess. Would you mind if I join you?" I don't know if I want him to join me. I don't much get along with people, or rather am not noticed. it might be nice and he hasn't made a move to leave.
"S-Sure." I say. A paw comes out of the darkness and helps me up. The world around me begins to chirp and whistle and sigh again, just like before. It's so strange that some things can change, like the number of us running amid the music of the night, and the world keeps going around us.
Edit: just edited to say that this pic is also in my CS gallery <3
