Ash is a mysterious mare who spends her time roaming. She is elusive, but not unfriendly, she merely prefers her own company and feels slightly uncertain around others. She has a gentle nature and feels calm and tranquil around trees and in meadows. She is known to create crowns of flowers and decorate her mane, drawing happiness from blooming buds. She is caring and sweet and extremly loyal which sometimes may lead to trouble when she believes her loved ones are in danger. She has a wild side too, when provoked or worried about protecting her family and friends. Mostly, Ashfendel is a compassionate mare with a quiet disposition and a love of life.
Art or Story:
The sun glittered on her eyelids and she knew the second she woke what day it was. It was spring. The first day of glorious golden spring. Ash was on her feet in an instant. Glancing around, she tossed her mane and blinked hard. In seconds, flowers were popping out of the ground, blooming between the grass seed and swaying. She blew on a dandelion by her hoof. It wavered then the seeds exploded into the air. Ash smiled and reared. Rushing through the long grass, she felt her hooves lifting of the ground. The sun winked down and she whinnied in delight. Gradually, she touched the dirt and galloped on. There it was. Her dark golden eyes snatched a glimpse of the tree as it stood swaying on the grassy plain. She slowed to a trot and watched an eagle as it swooped above her, crying out and then vanishing into the trees that met the vast blue. Gradually, she came to a stop. The restless willow's arms reached around her and she sighed as sunk into the cool grass by it's trunk. The tree seemed to be whispering. It's voice was soft and melodious. The birds were the orchestra. It soothed her. Looking through the lattice of leaves and branches, through the blanket of evergreen, she saw the fragments of sapphire. The sky was clear and sparkling. Gone were the clouds, the rain, the grey. It was springtime, her time and she was ready to have some fun. Ashfendel laughed.
