Jewel ColorBlack- The power for destruction and strength

A lover? a fighter?
A player? a prince?
Let's find out! I am trueKiyoaki is extremely honest and doesn't usually resort
to lying. This, he thinks, is one of his best features
and the reason so many people enjoy being around
him.
I am quietKiyoaki doesn't speak much. He beleives that the best
way to live life is to trust only a few select friends,
and everyone else should only know the basics. He
is certainly not outspoken; he in fact tries to lead a
quiet life since... since his childhood problems.
I am protectiveKiyoaki has grown stronger since he was 11, and now
everything that is precious to him, whether worldly
or personal, are well-protected. He is especially
potective of his sister, and would hardly hesitate
to use his powers to protect her.
I am strongNot only is he strong physically, but he is also very
mentally strong. He has grown in wisdom,
technique, and general educational ways.

Kiyoaki wrote:Minako and I go way back, obviously- we're siblings. I love her and care about her, and I'm really protective of her. There's nothing else in the world that is more important than her, especailly after what happened when we were kids. I have no one left but here, and I will protect her from anything at any cost.
But besides the usual sibling relationship, I guess you could say we are unique. We grew really close when we were still kids for obvious reasons. We trust eachother and we talk to eachother a lot. Mina is my closest friend at this point, and I would trust her with anything. I don't know if she feels the same about me--she didn't tell me she was engaged to Riko for ages. Maybe it's just because she's growing up and she doesn't need her big brother any more, but I still think she's my kid sister.
I'm always super protective of Mina. I used to interveiw her boyfriends, argue with her about who she hung out with, have kids at school tell me what she was doing, and even make her ask permission to use her own car. I never thought she minded; I just knew she'd understand. But she didn't. She stopped telling me things. I guess maybe I should cool down and not worry so much, but what if something happens to us again? What if something happens to her?

May 2000
At the age of eleven, Kiyoaki was strong, tall, and handsome already. He got along well with his family of four: himself, his mum, his dad, and his sister Minako.
His birthday had just passed and he felt much older and wiser than he had at age ten. Sometimes he was even allowed to walk Minako around town, which he
wouldn't have counted as a privilege if it hadn't made him feel so responsible. Sometimes they went to the candy store together and other times they went elsewhere. All Kyoaki knew was that it could be exciting at times. He was sure that 2000 was going to be the best year ever.
The day after his birthday, Kiyoaki decided to take his sister out for pizza with the money he'd earned on his birthday. "Come on," he urged his parents. "It would make her so happy!" His mother and father exchanged glances and nodded, so off they went! The two kids dug through a large pizza and devoured almost all of it, but Mina insisted that they save two slices for their parents. Kiyoaki soon agreed and they headed into the apartment home.
Then... gunshots.
The two young JMDs stopped in their tracks, shaking as
they stared into their home from the limited space of
the doormat.
Suddenly, Mina ran inside. "No, Mina!" Kiyoaki screamed, running with all his might to catch her. His heart pounded with such force that he was surprised his chest didn't explode. He blinked and suddenly heard a scream, then felt himself crash into a small, warm body. Mina.
He opened his eyes and saw four grown JMDs with guns prodding two bloody, ruined bodies on the floor. The men spun around as the kids tumbled to the ground. "They've seen us! Kill 'em!" one said, pointing his gun at Mina.
Kiyoaki pulled Mina towards him, his face taut with fear.
"No," said another, shaking his head. "Four dead bodies will make us more likely to get caught."
A third nodded in agreement and the first on argued, "We can't leave them here, they'll spill everything!"
Kiyoaki looked around in panic, hopefully looking for a way of escape, when the fourth JMD, a female, said in a cool voice, "Who said we're leaving them here? You can get a lot of cash out of a couple kids."
"I don't have any money," he blurted, and could hardly control the contents of his gut as a fist flew into his stomach.
"Shut up, kid!"
Kiyoaki groaned and clutched his stomach, gasping in pain and still standing in front of Minako, who was silent and trembling.
"Two kids," said the woman. "That'll set us up for maybe a year." She paused to survey them. "Maybe they can work as well." She signaled with her fingers and the other two whipped out guns and ushered both Kiyoaki and Minako out of the house.
Soon, the group arrived at a small shack that had a few boats tied to a dock nearby. He and Minako were blindfolded and pushed onto one of the boats and sat in silence as the motor roared. Water splashed over the edge of the boat. Kiyoaki worried that Mina might jump over to play in it. What would their kidnappers do then?
As soon as Kiyoaki received his vision again, he looked around. The little boat had stopped at a desolated island that had a medium sized building on stilts within veiw. The waves slapped against the sandy shores and little fish swam with the current. Kiyoaki snapped himself out of it--he had to get them out of this.
June 2003
So many escapes attemps had failed. So many. The failures had left them hopeless until that day in June. That wonderful day, a day where the word freedom truly gained a meaning.
The lights shined into the house as Kiyoaki and Minako cowered in a corner. Lights, so many of them, so bright. But who was it?
Hands, but no familiar faces. "Are you okay? Are you okay?" over and over, again and again.
Freedom.

I love fishing, too, and I always feel proud when I catch something worth keeping.
I also collect coins from the United States, not anything valueable but pennies from
a certain year and two dollar bills and such.
