His resourceful side is always working
with his optimistic side. If the situation

annoys his Rider but he can always find

his finer sides and always works on the

and well spoken he does not come off as
greasy or rude because he is considerate
of those around him.

The warm summer air still sung among the trees of the Celtland’s wilderness. It blew small whirlwinds around a encampment. A lone fire burnt bright in the dark night where no moon shone. A soft tune melted out of the small lean-to made of leaves and branches held together by small twined ropes. If you were to venture near you would recognize the tune to be a folk song of the natives. If words were sung they would echo the trials and victories of the people when war broke the land apart. You would notice a small rabbit cooking over the fire while a foot tapped to the tune.
----
Demetrius smiled softly as he relaxed in front of his small yet efficient fire. A lute held in his worked hands and his feet laid atop an overturned oak bucket. His rucksack seemed toppled in front of his humble shelter and the meat roasting smelt sweet and seasoned with herbs found in the forest behind him. Overlooking the distant village he could barely make out lights and movement.
Slowly he removed the meat from the fire and bit into the succulent flesh. Juices ran down his stubble covered chin and into his light brown loose tunic. His grey-green eyes searched the dark sky for signs of his birth constellation but only finding the Eridanus set. Closing his heavily lashed eyes to sniff the air he relaxed slightly more as the scents of burning cedar, cooked rabbit, fresh leaves and summer flowers hit his nostrils. All was perfect on this moonless night or was it.
----
About a mile from his camp was the most majestic creature he would ever see. The Star Eater stood almost concealed from the world would it not of been for his bright star markings. The stag’s wondrous eyes scanned the deep fathoms of the universe searching for a sign that his next star was near. It seemed a century before the first glimmer of the stars new journey into its expecting host. Suddenly the stag stood to attention, its muscles tightened and readied for a fast paced race. He let out a loud call, a celestial cry that sounded much like the haunting call of an owl but with the essence of the angels. Lowering its head and launching into a dash for his new companion. A new star to add to his soft and sparkling pelt.
----
Demetrius had not heard the call nor had he noticed the star hurtling for his camp. As he stood and stretched his stiffened body and his muscular structure expanded he thought he heard the soft pounding of hooves on leaf litter. Turning he looked into the forest behind him, squinting his eyes slightly to see into the pitch black behind the first line of cedar trees. After a few moments of seeing naught but darkness he shrugged. He bent his tallish frame over as he unclipped small iron hooks on his chair and folded its light pine and grey hessian into a small rectangle and clipped it to the base of his rucksack. As he went to straighten himself he was nearly knocked out by hoof.
Stumbling and finally falling to the ground he caught a glimpse of a dark silhouette and small stars shining so close he could touch them. Suddenly a bright almost blinding light flashed into existence then was gone. Blinking away the spots of light left in his retinas he gazed almost open jawed at what his eyes fell upon. Standing before him was something he had heard of only in rumors. Its strong muscled legs and well toned side glistened as a new spot of light appeared on its flank. Its eyes that scream like the death of a million suns stared unwavering into his soul. Demetrius could not move nor could he make the smallest of sounds.
----
Slowly and carefully the creature moved its small hooves into action, its body following suit but its head was not held cautiously but strong and proud as it got closer to human man. Its deep eyes flicked back and forth from the human to its strange shelter. The stag noticed the human made no attempt to move or speak. He found it strange and exciting but he still remained cautious. Finally the human made a movement which he was prepared for. The scarred left hand lifted to about two hoof lengths away.
The stag moved forward one hoof and then dropped his head and stretched his elegant neck out to take in the scent of Rabbit, rosemary, thistle and fire smoke. Gently and assured he moved to place the hand upon his crown and then moved so it ran down his neck to his haunches. Flicking his tail as his body almost shivered with power. His heart caught in a slight flutter as his mind melted into the mans. He looked back to the human and knew then that he had found his rider.
----
Demetrius shudder as if a winter wind had passed through his soul. His hand felt warm and familiar against the Elkrins pelt. He knew the stag was watching him and he knew if he looked now he would be over taken by the greatest feeling in the history of mankind. An imprinting to an Elkrin was a rare thing and to a Star Eater was even rarer. Turning his body slowly but almost hesitantly he let his gaze lifted and felt caught in the beasts own. He felt like nothing could be any better. As if in response to his own feelings the Elkrin lowered his front to a kneeling position and motioned for him to climb onto its back.
