Why does he dislike being blind?

Are you kidding me? Have you ever tried to work an apple product, with its touch screen, being blind? Try and skype with your friends, being blind? Type out an email, being blind? Well, it's difficult. See, Bly feels like he's always a few steps behind everyone else, both metaphorically, and physically. He can't keep up in this fast-moving world. Sure, he does well on his own, but he feels so restricted by his inability to see. Socializing from long distances is nearly impossible, and when he was a child playing follow the leader... The point is, Bly struggles to keep up with his friends, and everything else around him, and he does not like that.

He also hears about colours, and he hears things described, and then.... he doesn't understand. The wonders of the world are a fable to him, and because of this, he's treated like he's pretty dang stupid. Sure, he's not as bright as others, but he really doesn't appreciate being treated like he's stupid. He doesn't know what he looks like, and he never knew what his girlfriends ever looked like. Handing out complements is difficult, and analogies and comaprisons just don't work...

Story

When you're blind, what do you see?


Nothing. No, it's not black, and it's certainly not white, it's not dark, and it's not light. It's some odd little grey area in-between, though I can't really describe it to all you who've seen. I hear about orange and yellow, blue and green, but I honestly don't know what you mean. All of you out there with your fancy devices and your sure footing, while I'm trying to keep up with the times without even looking. I have to feel where my feet are, and I don't know where I'm going after not very far.
It is in this endless expanse of a grey, that I must stay; and only hear fables since I was a baby in a cradle.





Most would think that all the blind see is black, and in fact, if you've gone bllind after seeing, that's the cold, stony truth. If you're born blind, however, what do you really see? Nothing is a concept far beyond the human brain, it's just unimaginable, and that's about as close as we can get. There has to be something that they see. Black? White? Light? Dark?
Is it different with every person?



I didn't know that I was irregular until I found out about colours.
It was warm, I felt the heat through my fur, and I felt the ground beneath my feet. It felt as if grass had just covered the ground, like snow would voer winter. I took a deep breath in, and ran. Not sure where, not sure how far, but I did know that I was frustrated. I didn't know what. I kept running, feeling the blood rushing in my ears and my pulse racing along with me eased my frustration, until I tripped over my own tail and faceplanted into the dirt. A thought flashed in my mind, and it was Green.That's all, just one word: green. As if the idea had been hardwired into my being, but kept just tantalizingly out of reach. I grasped the thought, and held onto it. Green... I pondered that word, still lying in the grass. The grass is green I thought, and felt sure that I was correct. The grass is green, the trees are green. I am not green. Those three ideas, things, thoughts, echoed around in my head as I pondered them for a while. Then another idea popped into my head Everyone else knows green, everyones can see green. I was different. Not the same. I felt the grass, but I could feel green. I smelled the grass, and I could smell green. Were there more colours?
And on that perfectly ordinary morning, when most people were eating breakfast, showering, just waking up. When the sun had rose to a ten-o-clock-ish position, I had discovered green, and my search began.
Honestly, I wasn't even aware that I had begun a search, until a while later, when I felt myself brushing against a few leaves, and hearing the buzzing of the bees, and I felt a flower beneath my foot, and I bent to pick it up, another thought occurred to me, Orange. I turned my head down to the ground, where I had felt the flower, This flower is orange. I bent down, and picked it up.
My days went on, and dragged along, until I had found yet another colour. Yellow. then Brown. then red and blue on to purple, and, well, you know how the story goes. In fact, I imagined these colours, all of these countless pigments that covered everything that I couldn't see. I'd get angry, and I'd run, and I'd fall, and I'd remember. I'd remember green, that peaceful, Saturday morning, when I embarked on an adventure that I didn't even sign up for.

And I found out what I saw, every second of every day. It was neither dark, nor light, black, or wite, dull or bright, it was somehting in-between. And odd, little between-the-lines colour. And endless expanse of grey, more or less. It was grey, it wasn't nothing, I couldn't see anything, but I didn't see nothing. I see grey...
That day was the first day my life started, and the last day my adventure ended.

Why does he dislike being blind?::
Well for one thing it gives the bullies more to tease him about. Also before he went blind he loved to go to the observetory to stare at the stars. He always think about the comet that comes every four years but last time he saw it he never knew it would be the last. Now the only way he can see his beloved stars is in his memories. Other than the stars he also was a famous football player in his shcool now he is being teased. Sadly only a few kiamaras are nice to him which is his three best friends Randy, Colby, and Zach. Before he was blind he had another friend named Hunter he and Hunter were closer than he and Randy, Colby, or Zach you may think that Hunter let him when he became a laughing stock well not exactly. Hunter died these bullies called dead dawn were the worst they would never tease they would become physical. So here is the story... like usual dead dawn(also called d.d. ) was picking on Tyler but this time Hunter was there. Now you should know Hunter he had a hot temper. So Hunter had enough of d.d. so he yelled" leave him alone!" with all his might. D.D. just lauged
"oh look at the baby trying to stand up for his friend. Then all Tyler heard was sreaming he couldn't see what happen but he knew it was bad then after about an hour it went silence he waited fo Randy, Colby, and Zach then Zach told him what happened. Now he can't help but feel guitly about Hunter's death he knew it wasn't his fault he was blind but still he couldn't shake that feeling.

Why does he dislike being blind?: Everyone always teases him by poking and proding him, and he just hates it. If Rebel could see, those Kiarmaras better watch out! Also, he loves to draw but he draws squiggly drawings now that usually end up getting lost because he can't see where he put them.

Why does he dislike being blind?:
He can't see the sky blue, the shimmering light bouncing off of glorious rivers, can't match a fresh smelling flower with it's proper looks. He can't see anybody he loves.
Though being blind heightens your other scenes, he still can't see the beauty of the world he lives in. No brightly colored autumn leaves blowing in the wind, no vibrant colors of birthday cards.
The small little things we all take for granted, are things that Luka misses out

Why does he dislike being blind?:
Phantom dislikes being blind because he misses the world around him. The view of the sun rising, the whiteness of snow in the winter that covered the lands around him, and being able to see where he is going. Being blind has put his life in danger in a way. He never knows who to trust, who is friend or foe. His blindness has made him hostile, un-trusting, and fearful of many things around him. He is hopeful that one day his sight may return to him, he knows it is pretty much impossible but it is his dream, his one desire, he just wants to see.

Here's my story...

The day Phantom went blind started as normal as any other, waking up, gazing over at his love as she slept beside him peacefully, their son curled up not to far away. Life was good. He couldn't ask for anything better, not one thing. A smile played at Phantoms mouth as he stood, stretching the sleepiness out of his body before he wandered outside and gazed around. The sun was high in the sky, casting shades of yellow light down onto the earth, giving everything a heavenly glow. Taking a deep breath, he began to wander, looking for food. The other Kiamara's were awaking as well, all up and ready to start the day. Glancing over his shoulder, he watched as his mate and son emerged from the den they had been resting. He smiled and let out a soft call to his mate, his smile spreading further as she looked over and flashed him her fabulous grin. Chuckling, he padded off to help the others gather food. Everything was going fine, the food was plentiful, the day was bright, the air cool, and the water was cool and refreshing. No one would of ever thought that something could go wrong. No way- Nothing could go wrong in this paradise. But that was very, very wrong. Today, lives would be lost, hearts would be broken, hero's would fall, and Phantom- He is going to loose his sight. The thought is sickening, how someone or anything would hurt these beautiful creatures. As the pack of Kiamaras where heading back, bringing back plenty of food with them, a smell caught their noses. The smell was strange... Unlike anything they had ever smelt before. But they brushed it off and just continued back to their home. Once they arrived, they knew something was very wrong. The camp was aflame, the sounds of cries for help where coming from the dens. Phantom panicked, he knew his mate and son where in that den. The on right in front of him, Adrenaline rushed through him and he took off towards the den. He noticed a human and his heart sunk. Where they trying to kill them? Or was this some cruel form of capture? He didn't let the thoughts linger long as he dashed through the back entrance of the den. Once inside, smoke attacked his nose, ripping down and flooding his lungs. Gasping for breath, he searched and he searched. Finally, he found his son. His mate.. She was gone. His heart broke, shattered and completely fell into the bit of his stomach. Grabbing his pup, he ran towards the exit, longing for the feeling of fresh air, and for his son to be safe with him again. As he was nearing the exit, the safety of the outside, he stumbled. A branch had caught his hind paw, sending him crashing to the ground, his son flying from his mouth and out of the den. Trying to get back to his feet, he saw a giant hand come down, grabbing his son quickly before disappearing as if it was never even there. In disbelief, he got up and was running out. The people where leaving he could see and most of the Kiamaras had taken off, had ran from the humans. Phantom let out a loud yelp, a screaming cry as a branch fell from the dens roof, crushing to the ground and sending flaming hot ashes up into his face, his eyes stung, burned, and watered all at once. Whimpering and yelping as he ran from the den and further into the woods.

Over the next few days, Phantom was miserable. His eye sight was slowing going away. Everything was hazy, his right eye was completely blind and his left one was fading away rapidly. When he did find the others, they rejected him, told him he was no longer of any use to them, that he would only slow them down. He was on his own, he had only been able to find small things to his eat. His stomach was starved and his mind was weakened by his hunger and depressed state. He no longer knew what to do, or where to turn to. With much effort, he stood and began to wander. He had to go much slower than normal now since he could hardly see. The smell of smoke still lingered in his nose making finding any food nearly impossible, and since he there was no one who wanted to help him, Phantom was plagued by the thought of just giving up. It seemed like it would be easy, not having to struggle and wonder when he would get a meal. But he was to determined to just give up. He wanted to live so he was going to make sure it happened. Shaking his head and blinking his eyes rapidly, he hoped that his vision would clear up a bit, with no good results he sighed and just continued to walk.

The year went by very very slowly for Phantom but he finally learned to deal with his blindness. He no longer minded living alone on his own. He did miss his surroundings though. With his blindness, his smell and hearing did strengthen. With his two other sense's strengthened, he was now able to find food better and hearing upcoming enemies was much easier. He would give anything for just one more week- even one more day to see though. Just to bask in the sun and enjoy the beauty that surrounded him, that he took for granted all of his live. If he had only known, he would of changed so so so much. But the past was the past, and Phantom has now learned to accept himself, regardless of what everyone and everything else thought about him.

Why does he dislike being blind?: Being blind makes him feel useless and unloved. No one seems to want to talk to him or be around him. He often feels like a monster or vampire or other creature because he doesn't fit in anywhere. Music is his only escape, he can get away from the world, if only for a few minutes.

Theme Song: I'm not a vampire by Falling in Reverse, he likes this song because of the beat, lyrics and title. Most of the lyrics seem to describe his life; he feels insane, is an outcast and his attitude towards the world is constantly darkening.
