Short Story:
It was the middle of the day as I sat on a rock. I had been climbing the mountain searching for Tigress, the Equus Cabballus that had been spotted around here, for most of the day. I had already visited here twice in the last week.
Hearing the sound of hooves scraping against a rock, I slowly stood and turned only to come face-to-face with Tigress. Slipping my hand into my pocket, I pulled out a few berries that had remained uncrushed in my jacket. Holding out my hand I watched as she softly ate the berries out of my hand. Walking around her I stepped off a rock and onto her back.
Later that day I climbed down the mountain happy, Tigress following me. Stopping at the truck I opened the trailer doors, hoping she would follow. As she stepped in she was framed by light from the setting sun. I knew what her show name would be, Tigress of the Sun, which also happened to match her coat colors.

Short Story: After a long, hot day, Lady Mekka decided to take a walk in the cooling evening air. The heat had been a welcome surprise, especially after this long and unforgiving winter, but it had held an uncomfortable edge already, making the young woman retreat inside for a majority of the day. Now, glad to have the time to stretch her legs properly, Mekka was quietly taking photos with her phone. Without realizing it, she had left the path, intrigued by little buds that were already sprouting out of the ground. After a few minutes of photo taking, Mekka realized her mistake. Confused and lost, the girl went bumbling around in the woods until she suddenly stumbled out into a clearing, where a beautiful mare stood taking a drink from a small stream. The mare raised her head, snorting and looking with one bright blue eye at the disheveled young lady, tensing up. Mekka was taken away by the beauty of the eyes, but then again when she saw the stripes on the mare's neck and back. Mekka stood as still as she could, not daring to make a movement and frighten off the horse, but she never took her eyes off the mare, hoping against hope that she could somehow keep such a beautiful creature for herself.
