This is the new line concept, the only change being that the face is in profile (also, the head will be farther down. I just realized that the neck was a little too long). I believe it will make it easier for the artists to color, and make it easier to transfer the markings from pup to adult. I will most likely be placing the old head in the picture as a front view reference. I really like the old lines so I don't want to mess with them, but it's also pretty difficult for artists to color it in in the view it was in. First post below. Please read as well :)

Alright, it seems that head number one is the most popular, so I'll begin updating the lines soon. Is there anything else that you would like to see changed while I'm working on the head and the back wing, or is there anything you think needs changing on the update?

I might be changing the lines to make these a little easier to color, because I know the position the body is in makes it a little difficult. I wouldn't be changing much, mostly just moving the face into a profile view like the pup's face. I don't know if I really want to update the lines because I like how they are now, so I wanted to ask you guys what you think about it. Just leave a reply in favor or against the change, it would help me a lot!

Actually, I like this a lot. I think the profile picture is a better idea, as most every shionnix has symmetrical markings anyway, and it makes it fit better with the other ages. And you have done a lovely job keeping the feel and style of the original lines.

I like it, and yet...I dunno. I'm torn. :c

With the way it's done--and I'm not blaming you or anything, just my thoughts. ;-; But the way it looks now, on these new lines, I see more of just a wolf with long ears and mixed with a bird. The old head made me still wonder if it was a fox or a more wolf-like head it had, which I enjoyed about it since it didn't make me think it was just some over-done hybrid with some modifications to make it look unique. But now I almost get that feeling from this with the new edits.

And yet, at the same time, it does make the lines look a little nicer. And I suppose now, with the way the pups are drawn, the grown-up lines look more similar to them in their facial structure.

It is true that Shionnix are a fox/bird hybrid, and I too see your point. Perhaps thinning out the muzzle might make it look a bit more fox-lke?

It looks good, but the wing at the back is a little to forwards I think....
Thats probably because of the other position where the shoulder would have moved up to follow the head round...

I'm torn as well, I don't want to mess with the old lines, but it would help in coloring them. The muzzle should be thinner, I was trying to get at least the basic idea out before my Internet cut out on me. And the shionnix is a fox bird hybrid, so it should look a little more like a fox (I'm not very good at drawing foxes, as you could tell ^^;) the second wing will also be moved further down, I'll try to do a better edit on the lines tonight. Thanks for the comments thus far, they really are helpful!

Edit: Another option would be to keep the face in front view, but to arrange the facial features so they make a little more sense, I'll just be using Valkyrie's sketch layer to redo the eyes. I believe that once those get straightened out a little, it'll make it easier to line up markings on the face.
