Lucan is regarded as active and outgoing. He is a uniquely naive bean. Although he is independent, outgoing and assertive his is also surprisingly trusting, often innocently walking into the lion's den at times. No matter what upheaval, challenge or triumph he confronts Lucan has a wonderful ability to bounce back. His faith in life and the future remains untouched by hardship. His gift is that he is always a child at heart and the world is always a magical place for him. No wonder he is forceful, dynamic and aggressive, and as a result he finds himself with dilemmas surrounding his romantic relationships. For him, a man has to be a 'real man' to deal with a woman, otherwise she intimidates him. And conversely for himself, a woman has to be a real woman to deal with him, because he is looking for many balancing component traits (his true feminine side) in his partner. She has to run the gamut in his support system, from his best friend, true companion, through to his muse, and yet she must never ever answer him back!

Therefore he can be a confusing bean because there is a complex combination of very strong masculine and feminine expressions all combined together. Because of the male energy surrounding him, many woman find themselves interested in him, women who are adventurous, independent and have competitive natures. Lucan is a 'doer' rather than a 'talker'. He is impulsive, act first, ask questions or have doubts later kind of bean. Hello, my name is Postcard. c:


I believe this JBD should have the name of Monsoon, Mon for short. A monsoon is a large rainstorm, what this JBD reminds me of. His base coat color is like the color of the sky outside. The dark swirls on his coat are like the wind- furious, but at the same time beautiful. The few blue swirls are my favorite part. When I was little, whenever there was a rainstorm outside, I loved to go outside, run around, jump in the puddles, and splash everywhere. The puddles were always my favorite part of the rain. The blue swirls remind me of the splashes I made and the water going everywhere and making the world just a little more fun. Not many people like going out in the rain and getting wet- nearly all my friends hate the rain. But I think there's something special to the rain, a little extra part that isn't noticeable at first but really makes the world more beautiful. This is shown in the horns. At first, people don't notice the flecks of blue, but it really makes Mon even more lovely than he already is.

IN: Hello, Monsoon!

M: Hello! Please, call me Mon.

IN: Okay, Mon. Can you give us a little information on you and what you're like?

M: Well, I don't really know how to describe myself. I'm a little shy when it comes to meeting new JBDs (as well as humans), but I'm really funny when you get to know me. I'm also a little self-conscious about myself.

IN: Come on, Mon. Give us some positive things about yourself. I'm sure you're a wonderful bean.

M: Okay then. I'm smart, funny, and I'd like to think that I'm a really nice bean. I love the rain, hence my name, and I love to go outside and have fun. I can be counted as childish at times, but I don't see how that's a bad thing. I love my friends and I'd do anything for them. Ooh! Another thing! I love wearing scarves. I know, it's a little silly, but they always make me feel like I'm safe.

IN: Awe, that's cute. I love scarves, too. What are some of your hobbies?

M: Well, as you already know, I love the go out in the rain. I also like to be with my friends. I like to run, too. It's always been something I do when I'm bored, and now I'm pretty fast.

IN: That sounds like fun! What is your favorite food?

M: Oh, that's a hard one. Well, I really like vanilla ice-cream.

IN: Yum! I like vanilla ice-cream with strawberries. Mon, you're so polite. How were you raised?

M: I had a pretty normal childhood. My mum and my dad loved me a lot, and my mum taught me to be polite. She said that I was never going to make a good impression on people if I didn't have good manners. I never had any brothers and sisters, but I've always wanted a little sister. When I got older, I settled down on my own, but I don't have a 'special someone'.

IN: Awe, that's too bad. What do you look for in a female bean?

M: I guess I just want someone who'll like me for who I am. And they have to love the rain, too.

IN: And we only have time for one more question. Mon, what do you look for in an owner?

M: That's easy. I want someone who's like me. They love the rain, they're not overly-confidant, and they're really nice to me. They have to draw a lot of pictures of me, and love me forever. Ooh, one more thing- I want to be their first bean.

IN: That's so sweet! We have to say bye now.

M: Bye then!

The Rain Puddle

Monsoon the Jellybean Dragon was getting ready for bed at his friend's house. It was raining heavily, so Mon was in a great mood, all ready to go to sleep.

As Mon was falling asleep, he heard a small whimper coming from the bed next to his. It was his friend, Mickey. Mickey had his head under the covers and was shivering.

Mon got up and padded over to his friend. "Mickey?" he whispered, and poked what seemed to be a shoulder.

"Oww! What was- EEK!" Mickey said as a boom of thunder cut him off.

"Mickey, are you scared of storms?" Mon asked his friend.

Mickey replied, "Yes! They terrify me. I hate storms, I hate rain, and I hate thunder!"

Mon tugged his friend out of bed and got him to come to the window. "Look at the rain coming down. It's beautiful. It's not dangerous," Mon said.

Mickey shivered and shut his eyes tightly. "It's still scary."

"How is it scary, Mickey?" Mon asked.

"It's scary because I don't understand it. How does it work? Why does it exist?" Mickey asked Mon, desperation shining in his eyes.

Mon felt sorry for Mickey. He had lived his whole life without knowing the happiness that rain brought and the fun it was to stomp around in.

Mon spent the next few hours teaching Mickey about evaporation, how it was a normal process and the world needed it. By the end of his lecture, Mickey seemed much calmer and barely flinched when the thunder came around.

Mon noticed that Mickey was feeling better, but knew he needed more to ever be truly comfortable in the rain. He made up his mind.

"Mickey, let's go," Mon said.

Mickey looked curiously at Mon. His eyes widened when he realized Mon's plan, but he was already at the front door.

Mickey looked at Mon, terrified. Mon gave him a sympathetic glance… And then shoved Mickey out of the front door, into the pouring rain.

"Mon!" Mickey shrieked, then stopped. The rain felt nice. It wasn't scary. it was warm and the drumming sound on the roof was comforting.

"Mon, thank you so much!" Mickey said, and gave his best friend a big hug. Then, letting go, he cautiously ran up to a puddle and hopped in. "Ah, this is so fun!" he said, and gave Mon another large hug.

Mon joined him and together they spent all night having fun in the rain.

Extra 2: Personality: Ikea is almost always happy, he loves nature and going to the beach, Ikea is also an avid surfer. He is fiercly loyal and will put himself on the line to help his friends. He is an artist and draws whenever possible, he even painted his surfboard. He likes other JBDs to like him. Ikea trusts fairly easily, but if another JBD breaks his trust, it's very hard to win back. Ikea enjoys being outside as much as possible and will often take his ipod and skechbook out to the beach or woods. Story: I dash. The wind tangles her invisible fingers through my long fur and harshly whispers in my sensitive ears. Leaves flutter before my eyes as I frantically sprint faster and faster. I rip up emerald grass as I sprint, but I don't care at the moment. I have to get away!
I easily dodge trees and swiftly hop over low branches. I can hear the ragged breaths behind me getting closer. Not good!
I pick up some more speed- my muscles aching from the added strain. I still can't slow down though, not untill I get away. Not until I win.
"Too slow!" I hear the voice behind me holler before I'm smashed to the ground. We tumble and roll a few times before my brain finally catches up to what's going on and I catch my footing.
"I'm not slow!" I immediately deny. "You're just... freakishly fast" came my lame retort.
Sly copper just grinned at me with a roll of his eyes.
"Now lets go again"
"What? But I already won!"
"Yeah, and I won the time before."
"So?"
"So~ Now we have to see who's the ultimate fastest!"
Copper just gave me a look. You know, that sort of look that a mother might give her child who's grinning and laughing at the sky for no reason. That sort of 'what are you doing?' look. "Only you would care about that sort of thing" he laughed before we both stood up and calmly walked back towards the starting line.
"I'm going to win this time" I suddenly stated, just making sure that he knew last time must have been a fluke.
"Sure you are" Copper grinned again, his eye sparkling with mischief. "And if I win, you have to do my chores for a week"
I paused, knowing how much work Sly copper always managed to get into (maybe it was because he always got in so much trouble?). But I accepted anyway. I mean, come on. everyone knows that I always win.

Benz is a very happy go lucky kinda guy. He's always been slightly shy at first, but he never focuses on the flaws of a person and is very positive. Though his looks may deceive you, he has a very "bright" personality. He loves making new friends, and is a very good friend himself.
