For his young age, he is surprisingly wise and calm, often giving even elders advice on certain issues in their lives which gives way to his motto on life, 'Sometimes you just have to look at things and know that everything is going to be alright.' I would name him Remieno Abigorrado, roughly translating to "Patches and Stripes". It refers to his calico color

Remieno Abigorrado, or Rem as he insists on being called (because seriously, who wants to say 'Remieno Abigorrado' every time they speak to him or about him?), is a very wise stallion, intelligent beyond his years. Strong, easygoing and compassionate, Rem is a stallion who is always alert yet calm. A lot of other horses think he is flirty, but he really isn't. He is a fun-loving stallion, but seems older than he is, perhaps due to his wisdom. Proud and fierce, Rem will do anything to protect his herd, and by that I do mean anything. He is a bit wild, but also slightly withdrawn into himself.

Remieno, Remieno,
A stallion strong and proud.
Rem is a horse of steel and stone
Yet nothing he thinks ever's spoken aloud.

Story (It is told from his perspective)
An exciting flash of movement! I lifted my eyes to the sky, warily scanning for the creature that had just swooped past our faces. I could still feel the faint breeze from its wings swirling around my horns. As I carefully monitored the air, I saw another wisp of motion over the treetops. Instantly, I plunged after it. "Rem!" my companion screeched. "Rem, it's okay!" I snorted to myself and struck the ground harder with my hooves. Obviously, she thought my plight was one of fear. Pumping my legs ever faster, I called back, "Relax, Drizzle!" I could hear her reluctant hoofbeats closing in behind me. At last, I twitched an ear and stiffened. A white shape was carving slow, loopy arcs in the sky. I caught my breath and pushed all my doubts away. This is the place.
We had emerged into a clearing, a gap in the trees with a rocky formation. In the center was a clifflike cut of stone, and water poured down over its lip into the chasm below- a lower level of the same hilly thing with a large pool of water. Drizzle and I looked at each other at the same time. An unspoken signal went between us. I whipped my long, tufted tail. With my muzzle, i pointed upwards to the place; for next to the rushing water was a twiggy, brushy nest, and none other but a large white bird- an albatross, I remembered- was sitting in it. Amused, I snorted and said to Drizzle in a low voice, "I guess we've found our 'mystery creature', huh?"
