Lumiretts are a strange, bio-luminescent species... Imagine you are walking through a forest. It is dark, and only the light of the stars are there to guide you. Then, you see it. A glimmering light peeking out of one of the bushes. A small creature, about the size of a small dog with its large ears reaching up to the height of your knee, hops into your path. It blinks once and flicks its tail before hopping back into the underbrush and vanishing.
That was a Lumirett.
Lumiretts are a forest-dwelling species that are friendly and fairly easily tamed. In the wild, they live in groups called Clusters. They are omnivores in that they love fruits, vegetables, nuts, and fish. They do not eat steak, and only chicken in desperate situations. They have been known to guide lost travelers back to campsites using their tail lights as a guide by sticking them straight up like a beacon. That "wisp," as they are called, above their backs is not a wing. It is more of a decoration and is used to attract other Lumiretts. The wisp is always the same color as the glow

Story About Item: (as long as you like, but quality> quantity)

"the full moon illuminates my room and sends my mind alight..."

brendan; meaning "little black raven".
brendan's favorite item is his charm bracelet. his whole life is etched into it, feminine or not.
"oh i hope he"ll live. do you think he's cursed? the full moon is out there, who knows what it means..."
"i hope not. he's my entire life," a young lumirett said tearfully. she glanced down at the small baby of hers, too small to be normal. she looked around for something, something so special to mark his hopeful survival. to the right of her, there seemed to be some string, and on the right, were pieces of silver, twinkling like stars in the moonlight. she grabbed the items without reluctance and began to work.
...
"there you go, little one," she said, fixing the bracelet on his left forefoot. she hoped it was blessed with the moon's obscurity, and it might even save his life.
the little baby moved his hind leg slightly, and all of the lumiretts gasped in unison. is this a miracle? did he survive?
the hindering movement slowed to a stop, and the baby seemed like it stopped breathing. the mother had tears in her eyes. her one and only baby, gone, probably because of the horrific curse set on her family. everyone was silent, their last drops of hope going down the drain.
suddenly, a little sneeze emerged from the baby, and he started to move again. he opened his eyes, once, then twice, then three times, then twice as much. the mother leaped in joy and rushed to her baby, whom she named brendan.
the already strong and capable lumirett glances at his left foot, and gasps in surprise. his mother has given him a bracelet among which it had three charms: a moon, a bird, and a star.
"thank you so much mother," brendan said, and he snuggled closely with his mother.
how lucky it is to be alive.

Ara wrote: Moonlight filtered onto a small creature's back, illuminating and revealing intricate patterns. The creatures eyes glowed brightly in the half light, casting a faint glow on her dark face. She padded into a bush, leading to a small. pond. "Stay calm, Ara." she mumbles. Ara slowly walks up to the pond and stuck her tail wisp in. The whole pond became illuminated with a glow, revealing a clear stone underneath the surface. Ara cautiously paddled through the water. She took a deep breath and ducked under the surface, her eyes burning. The glow became bright as she came closer. Ara struggled to keep her eyes open, as they filled with a burning urge to snap closed. Ara laid her paws on the dome of rock. The glow pulsed brightly and fizzled out. Her paws pressed harder on, causing the dome to snap. Inside lay a dull blue glowing stone, perfectly polished and everything. That is the story of Ara got her rock.
