Kelpie name:
Aditi; meaning boundless and entire to some then freedom and security to others.
*name is explained-ish in the story*

Kelpie age:
8 years

Kelpie height:
16.3

Marking:
On her neck, up towards where the roots of her mane it, it kind of looks like an eagle getting ready to take off into the wind.

Backstory:
It had been a fairly cool winter evening when little Aditi was born. Her mother had been covered a bit early in the spring time and it was a great mistake in the end after the little Bayou Kelpie was born but none of the herd had thought so at the time, never knowing if the mare was truly pregnant until she began to show changes in her barrel {stomach} size.
When little Aditi was born, as I said, it was a winter evening, though there was only a small layer of the cold white powder that the two legs would call snow. Aditi was a curious foal during the first few months of her lives; loving to explore the surrounding forest as well as the swamp. Her mother wasn't all that thrilled about having to keep such a close eye on her young one but she dealt with it, having foaled many children of her own during her life time.
After the cold months passed, Aditi was a bit wiser with what she did and where she did it but still being a foal, curiosity overruled her self-judgment. It was a rather warm spring day when she asked her mother is she was permitted to cross the forest edge and explore deeper into the trees. Though her mother wasn't fond of it, she agreed to it and let her go; though, being a good mother, she told her her boundaries which was when she saw sight of the hills that laid beyond the trees, she were to return immediately. With a quick nod of her head, the young Bayou Kelpie pranced to the forest edge where her adventure would begin, but of course at that time she didn't realize what the adventure would obtain.
After many yards from the herd, Aditi slowed her pace down to only a slow walk, taking in the beauty that surrounded her. There were birds singing, bees humming and deer loping. The sight was amazing, the best thing her eyes had every laid sight on. The beauty was so overwhelming and mind-controlling that she didn't notice the hills that laid in the outer land ahead of her a few hundred yards.
Finally, the young foal came back to reality and the world in front of her and she came to a quick halt with her eyes wide and ears high. In front of her stood a little girl who was no older then seven years of age. The sparkle in the girls eyes shined as she laid her eyes on the creature that stood before her. A small smile crept across her face as she stood there in awe. While Aditi stood there frozen, unsure of what she was to do now that she had been exposed to the single two-legged creature.
The small girl stepped forward, laying her palm out to the young Bayou Kelpie. Aditi was scared out of her little mind, still unsure of what to think or do. She had no idea how far away her herd was and it was too late to turn back, the girl had seen her. Even though she was scared, the foal was just as curious as the young human in the creature that stood before them. She watched as the girl lad out her palm and stepped towards her with the sweet little smile on her lips. Taking a chance, young Aditi took a step forward towards the human and lowered her head to reach the little girls height. With her smile growing, the small human took another step forward and reached up towards the Bayou Kelpie.
She watched as the human did so and stood there for a moment, trying to decide whether or not she should trust the creature that her mother and herd had told so many stories of. Aditi didn't understand why they said the bad things that they did about these humans, she saw nothing wrong with the small child. Taking a big breath then letting it out slowly through her nose, the foal took another step towards the young girl and reached her nose forward until it touched the warmness of the girl's soft hands. Aditi took a few breaths in, smelling the mysterious scents on the childs hands.
Above, the two heard the squawking of a bird whom the Bayou Kelpie had never laid eyes on once in her life. It was a large white and brown bird who hovered above them for a few moments before landing on a tree to the side of them. Aditi turned back to the child and looked at her with her large blue eyes, full of calmness and trust before taking a step back. It was time to go and her mother wouldn't wouldn't approve of her foal friending a two-leg whom some of the herd despised while others found no threat. The little girl too her hand back and waved at the Bayou Kelpie before watching it lope back to where it had come from.

In the story, the eagle that appears represents freedom, boundless, security and entire.

Freedom; Aditi took the freedom that she had to explore the forest that surrounds the herd and with her freedom, she met a young girl whom she would have never got to if she didn't have the freedom that she did.
Boundless; Aditi didn't let her mother's words stop her from doing what seemed so right and knowing that the other Bayou Kelpies didn't trust humans, she went beyond the limit of comfort to approach something so misjudged and mistaken.
Security; Even though she did take the risk of approaching a creature that had been spoken so badly of, she did have her doubts on the child and had to think it through and go over her own boundaries of safeness to trust the mere girl.
Entire; Aditi didn't let the other Bayou Kelpie's control her and tell her what to think, she did it herself and kept whole and entire to be herself and think what she thinks instead of being the same as the others.

{It's late and I will reread this in the morning.. if the symbolism description isn't aloud, let me know and I will remove it(:
Just thought I'd explain my story and reason to the name and the symbol a bit more.

And by the way, the design is gorgeous. I love the lightness of a Palomino main and tail against the dark ovaro (?) paint coat.
Love it<3}
