Why does he look so grumpy?
The young lord prefers to show a serious attitude when he is among his people. That, and he has had quite the past, and it has tormented him into having a hard time dealing with his own happiness. He's usually not really that grumpy. While he comes off as someone mean with that nasty scowl on his face, he will do selfless acts for the good of others. He also likes to hold the face as his "poker-face" when in need to intimidate those that go against his wishes for the people, or to threaten those that desire vengeance.
Extras: (at least 1 - can be story, art etc.)
The young lord better known as Lord Viktor, was the youngest born Lumirett among many older brothers. His parents gave birth to seven different children before him, all older than he was. The Queen became quite sick shortly after Viktor's birth, but she pressed on with her kindly spirit as if nothing was wrong. Out of all her children, Queen Illumadei showed the most care for her youngest born, and thus it seemed Viktor would remain a mama's boy. His brothers teased him about it, and also teased the fact that he was playful, meek, and always showing his kindness to others before he even considered his own sake. Lord Viktor was barely hitting his first adolescent years when Her Majesty was finally taken by her sickness. The doctor came to King Belphermont telling him when the sickness contracted Illumadei, and as if instantaneously, His Royal Highness placed all of the blame on the youngest prince.
Throughout the years of growing without the care of his mother, Prince Viktor was constantly bullied, hurt, and treated unfairly by all of his family. His Majesty went under a depression, and brought the forest he once ruled with passion into a tyrannical darkness that he placed a monarchy over, the forest giving him the name "Iron Claw Belphermont". Years and years of mistreatment went on through the forest, and because of this, the news of what Lord Viktor "did" to Her Majesty spread like a plague, and soon, there was nobody in the world that would care if he rotted away. Except for one. Her name was Sherridiah, the beautiful daughter of a Noble that was related to Belphermont, but not of blood. Sherry was the underdog of the conspiracy, and she set off to find the young Lord in search for the truth. Upon finding both Viktor and the truth of an act of blame, Sherry made a pact that she would forever be Viktor's friend. This brought the young lord out of his own depression.
Eventually, Sherry and Prince Viktor would become really close with each other. It seemed like love, young Viktor would always go on about it when he was alone. She made him very happy, despite everyone else's treatment of him. It seemed not all was lost. However, a terrible forest fire struck our lands, burning trees left and right like the flashes of lightning that created them. With all of his might, Young Viktor alone made it out of the fallen tree that crushed the home of the royals, saving Sherry from the incident, but none of his family could make it. Out of panic and the desire to help the one's who hated him, Viktor lead the colonization from the fire using a passage way he'd take to get away from the forest. After crossing a river, the civilization was saved single-handed by Lord Viktor. They congratulated him with praise and honour, they even made him the new King after he made a blood oath to never follow his tyrannical father's footsteps.
Soon after, King Viktor was on his way to announce his love and desire to marry Sherridiah, he ran into her with a young knight known as Ellot, who Sherry was already engaged with, and was waiting for him to return from his epic quest. Destroyed inside, King Viktor turned his back and never looked at Sherry again, even losing his smile. After all he did for her, it turns out it was all for nothing, thus making the young King distrustful of love, yet he kept to being the selfless yet stern lord of the lands he promised to be. King Viktor, the only living member of his bloodline, ruling his home with a gentle but powerful paw, which in turn had the citizens happily nickname him "The Fierce Angel Viktor".
