Relationship with his siblings: Emm gets along fairly well with Radio, but he has a bit of a problem with Ricky, as she talks too much for his taste.
A bit about him:Emmett is rather intelligent, and as such, not very tolerant of stupidity. He is also quite intolerant of chatterboxes like Ricky. He is protective of his pug, Princess, and he won't let anyone hurt her. He plays the cello, however he only has a small one as he himself is not very big.
Story:
Emmett has never paid much attention to the rules. That particular tendency is how he managed to acquire Princess.
One day, Emmett was telling Radio a story about a cloud when he heard a howling noise coming from outside. He quickly finished the story by saying, “I’ll tell you the rest later,” and escaped out the door. He decided not to take Ricky or Radio; he wanted to investigate by himself.
At first, he didn’t see anything unusual, but after a while he saw an Animal Control vehicle heading towards an alley. He followed it.
The Animal Control officers, carrying nets, advanced on a small puppy behind a dumpster in the alley. It was whimpering, and Emmett decided he had to save it.
“Stop!” he cried out. The Animal Control officers turned around, surprised, and saw him.
“Beat it, kid,” they said. “What do you want, anyway?”
Emmett got an idea. “Umm... that’s my dog!” he said.
“Oh, really? So, what’s her name?” they asked.
“Princess! Because... because she is.”
The Animal Control officers handed over the puppy and left.
Emmett used his jewel to guide himself back home, where he got a good look at the puppy. She wasn't’ really that cute -- she had a squished black face and stubby legs -- but hey, he did save her.
“Hey, Princess,” he said softly. The puppy wagged her curly tail.
Emmett managed to keep Princess a secret for three days, until Ricky found her.
“Hey! Where’d you get that--” she started. Emmett clamped his paw over her mouth.
“Shh, you can’t tell anyone, otherwise we might not be able to keep her. I rescued her from Animal Control,” he explained quietly.
So, of course, the first thing Ricky did was tell their mom, Sunset.
“EMMETT! What did you do?!?!?!” she yelled up the stairs.
Emmett came downstairs guiltily. “I just didn’t want her to go to the pound...” he mumbled.
Sunset sighed. “All right. If you feed her, and walk her, and share her with Ricky and Radio, you can keep her.”
“YESS! Really, Mom? Thank you!” Emmett squealed and hugged her, then ran back upstairs to play with Princess.
When Tonic found out, he was mad at first, but then he saw Princess and he agreed to let them keep her too.
And that was how Princess came into their family.
