Coy is a boy

“Hello, my name is Coy, and this is the story of the Koi fish mystery. It all starts on a warm spring day, when I went out to check on the pond of Koi I keep in my backyard. I had 5 large koi fish. Mingo is the largest one, and a male. His colors are smudged together, and he is my favorite. Next is Rapunzel. Rapunzel is a girl, who is a bright gold. The two brothers are Fred and George, almost identical twins. The smallest one is a little girl named Blueberry. She has tons of black, which shines blue and purple in the sun. I glanced into the pond, and Mingo came up to greet me. ‘Hold on, old boy,’ I told the fish, knowing what he wanted. I went and got the fish food container out of the garage. On the floor of the garage sat an old scruffy cat. I had never seen the cat in my life, so I was pretty freaked out. It had a smashed in face, like Crookshanks. Oh, yes. I forgot to mention. I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I’m a born and bred Ravenclaw, just so you know. Anyway, back to the story. The cat stared at me, and I stared back. I slowly backed out, the fish food held in my mouth. I turned and bolted to the fish pond, sprinkling the food in. I laid, and counted the fish. Mingo, Rapunzel, Fred, and George. But, where was Blueberry? I stuck my head in and looked around. Blueberry was nowhere to be found! I gasped and jumped up, running inside the house. I started to make flyers for my poor lost fish, when something went ‘thump....thump....thump’ on the window behind me. I slowly turned around, expecting to see Voldemort, or a Death Eater, but no, sitting on the sill, watching me with large, beady eyes, sat.... The cat. His tail hit on the window in a steady beat, as he watched me. He had a look of curiosity and mischief on his face, and boy was I scared. I took my stuff and ran as fast as I could up into my room to work on it. I closed the door and turned around. The cat was sitting there on the floor, looking up at me. I screamed, and ran into my closet, shutting the door. As I wondered how that cat could have got in, I listened. I waited 10 minutes without hearing anything before cracking the door and peaking out. The cat hadn’t moved an inch. I started laughing. The cat in my room was just a stuffed animal! That was it! I went out and put the cat stuffed animal away, before going to hang my posters. I stayed by the phone all day, and all night for that matter. I had dreams of Blueberry in a small cage, being terrified, and taunted by that cat. The next morning, I woke up and snuck outside to feed the fish. The cat was in the neighbor’s yard, so I didn’t have to worry about it. I sprinkled the food in, and counted my fish. Mingo, Fred, and George! Rapunzel had been stolen too! I went out and interviewed every single one of the neighbors that day. When I got back, you’ll never guess who was sitting, paw in water, hunting my fish. That’s right. The cat, the evil cat, was hunting my fish! I growled, and charged at him. The cat took one look at me, and lifted his paw to attack. The cat started chasing me. Come on, I may look like a fish, but I’m not! Well, I suppose he didn’t know that. I ran into the garage, and locked in the cat. With the cat safely locked up, I went to see the fish. I counted Fred and George. Mingo was gone! I started panicking. That cat had caught my fish! I bet that’s what happened to Blueberry and Rapunzel also! I went inside and started to cry. I cried all night and most of the next day, before going out to check on Fred and George. They where gone, and that cat had escaped. Crying, I stuck my head under the water to hide the tears. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something moving. I looked over to see about a hundred baby fish flooding out of a crack in the rocks. Then, out popped Blueberry, Rapunzel, Mingo, Fred, and George! That cat didn’t get them! They had gone off to lay eggs! Only about a dozen of the babies lived. Those babies names are, Rock, Kinko, Snow White, Fiona, Trinket, Harry, Luna, Lilly, James, Ruffle, Lay, and Wol. That’s the story of the Koi fish mystery! Oh yes, that old cat? His name is Crookshanks, and he lives happily with me to this day.”
