I packed up my things, Me and Twi -My best friend- were going camping for a few days. I double check my list of things I would need. Tent, check! Flash-light, check! Large hammock, check! Food, check! Clothes, check! I think that was all I need, plus my 3DS, just because. I looked at myself in the mirror, my shaggy black and red hair was up in a messy but cool way. I had on a white T, and pair of dark shorts. I was I check my watch, 12'o clock on the dot. Time go pick her up. "Hey mom! Time to go! See you later!" I called. "Be careful Honey!" she said as I closed the door. It was only a short walk before I was her steps. She lived in a large house, almost a mansion. I slowly walked up and knocked on the door.

I heard her footsteps come up. A moment later there was a click, and she was facing me. I looked at her outfit. She was wearing a dark jacket, an dark grey T-shirt, Navy blue jeans, A pair of black and neon converses and Her long ebony hair was tied into a silky pony-tail. Around her neck was a chain with a cross and covering her mask was a black, silky mask. I hated the people who dared make her do that, but I couldn't say that do them. She looked up at me. "Ready?" she asked. Her voice was cold and icy but that was just how she spoke. Of course with me her voice was warmer and more friendly. I nodded and watched her pick up her bag. "Raid! We're ready!" she yelled. Ah Raid, she was Twi's older 'sister' and She was engaged to her Fiancé, Alec. Soon we were in the car, and heading towards the site.

I must have fallen asleep on the ride. I yawned and sweeped my hair out of my eyes. I looked over Twilight, she had her mask around her neck. I guess you can't sleep well with it on. I sat up and looked out the window. It was a lush green forest, perfect for camping. While passing by I thought I saw a hot spring. Up ahead was the trail to the camping area. I grinned and shook Twi's shoulder. "Huh? What is it Kage?" she yawned. I told her we were just about there. She grinned.

I jumped out the car and looked around. Large trees and a grassy plain."Good choice" I nodded to Twi. She nodded and motion over to where she was. I walked over to her and she pointed to some bamboo stalks, perfect for making useful things. We both grinned at each other. "Okay, be careful and don't get in trouble!" Raid warned us as she left. I took the tent out and started working on it. Twi helped me, of course. After maybe 10-15 minutes(?), the tent was up and ready. I tossed my bags in, along with Twi, and we started unpacking. The tent was very large for us, so we had a ton of space.

Ive decided on Braille for this handsome young dragon.
I thought his name needed to have some sort of
'mysterious' ring to it that suited him. I went through
a few names before I came apron Braille, which fit him
visually as well as mentally and emotionally. I can see
others addressing him as such and his signature written
carefully on paper. Those gray scale markings that
curl up his legs with the occasional splash of color
throughout his coat that brings the whole thing together
so perfectly.

Male. Even though this is in
fact a gender optional competition he just doesn't come
off as female the way I see him. His color palette and
designs suggest a more masculine creature.

Personality .:.:

Melancholy
Braille always has a "grey cloud" over his head, and
is usually somewhat moody and gloomy. Though he
isn't totally blind, all he can see are vague shapes of
other objects. He feel a bit left out and always wishes
he could be normal.
Grumpy
As I've already mentioned, he can be moody quite often
he feels like there's a sort of gap in his life.

If Braille starts something, he often refuses to give up
until its finished and always works hard. He has a softer

I sit there staring blindly into a point in the distance that seemed to leave me just out of reach
to the rest of the world. My eyes wandered sightlessly around the empty room with hard wood floors
and old wallpaper that set off a cozy feeling that I would never feel. I can hear the fire that warms
the room crackling behind the girl as she reads our assignment out loud so I could hear the guide lines.
"Braille," her soft voice finds its way into my daydreams and I snap to attention and turn to 'look' at
her, "are you even [i]listening?" She demanded, the kindness immediately drained from her voice,
making me feel a bit guilty. "Because I'm not going to waste my time helping you if your not going to
listen! You should just do this yourself." She said. "I-I can't." I stumbled over my words, "Well find a
way then." She retorted. I heard a thump on the floor when she jumped out of her chair and left the
room. I sighed, it felt lonely and unforgiving; the world. Teachers would tell me I was very smart,
though sometimes I doubted their word even though I knew their hearts were in the right place.
I stood at the window, staring blankly through the glass only wishing I could see the world the way
others did.
