Username: BrightLight
Name: Mirana OR Kirekly (can't decide! XD)
Gender: Female
Personality: Very quiet, gentle, shy, likes to be alone most of the time. Friendly, but prefers people to approach her instead of approaching them. She's very good at explaining things. Despite being shy, she can be a good leader when pushed. She likes to go out at night, and therefore falls asleep a lot during the day, getting her in trouble sometimes. All life is dear to her, and she gets very sad when she hurts even an insect. She's very sensitive to insults, even though on the outside she looks calm, she'll cry when she gets to someplace private. She's cool, like water, and very rarely gets mad at anyone, but she's really scared of fire and being at the top of cliffs (despite having wings). She has a strong attachment to items, especially her (beautiful!) firefly necklace. Without it next to her heart, she feels alone. She needs to learn to let go... and maybe fall in love?
What does the SSD remind you of?: A koi fish (very calm and graceful). And a tortoiseshell or calico cat.
Her power: To be able to breathe underwater and to be able to talk to both fish and fireflies.
Anything special you'd like to add? She's very beautiful! I would love to win her, she would be my first SSD ever and I think they are absolutely gorgeous.
EDIT: Here's a story; in this her name is Kirekly even though I'm not sure which name I'll use if I get her...
Kirekly padded along the river bank. She usually loved the way the cool night wind ruffled the feathers on her blue-tinged, white wings. But tonight, even the refreshing air and welcome privacy didn't offer solace to her. She wandered to her favorite spot, a grassy area where she could watch the river flow by. Feeling depressed, she curled up. Another day, another nightmare. Never having the courage to speak up and tell that cute boy dragon that she really liked him. Never having the guts to walk up to one of those clusters of friendly, tight-knit sugar seeds. Never being able to raise her paw in class, even though she knew all the answers. In short, she was simply too shy to achieve anything, was the way her thoughts ran that night.
As she was thinking about all this, her eyes had been idly wandering over the contours of her graceful white paws. She happened to glance up. Her eyes, which were like blue ponds, opened up into huge, shimmering blue lakes.
A thousand fireflies lit up the rippling surface of the water.
It was really a sight to see, as the sparks of dancing light were reflected into the river and shattered into shards of sun. Sun at night, what a thought, and she sighed with the pure wonder of it. Just watching this amazing display of lights made all the thoughts of her social failures slip right out of her head. It was probably the most beautiful sight of her life, she said later.
She was gazing at the river and the fireflies, when suddenly she felt a light weight on her neck. It wasn't uncomfortable at all, just sweet and cool, like vanilla ice cream on the tongue. Startled, she looked down. Hanging around her neck was a beautiful prism-like crystal. It shone with the light of a thousand fireflies. She peered closely at it. Several fireflies were trapped inside it, glowing brightly.
She knew that with her new friends, she would never be alone.
Over the next few days, she examined her fireflies closely. They seemed never to fade or die, nor did they seem to need food.
She became more outgoing. She made friends with a couple other Sugar Seed Dragons. They helped her get in touch with her crush, and he was really friendly. A few weeks after their meeting, he asked her on a date.
"I know just where we can go," she said. As she said it, she placed a single paw against her crystal of fireflies. Inside it, she could hear the thrumming of several tiny wings beating.
She took him to the fireflies' river.
*flails* Yeah: :T Horrible. But I'm not much of a writer, then.
I wanted to develop this into a full story, but I didn't have enough time.
