Naminé
.:.Name Meaning.:.
Naminé's name comes from Nami, meaning wave. Similar to her sister's name, Kairi, Naminé itself comes from the game series Kingdom Hearts - Kairi being a girl from Radiant Garden who eventually ended up living on Destiny Islands, and Naminé being the Nobody that appeared from her heart.
.:.Gender.:.
Naminé is a female.
.:.Crush.:.
She doesn't really know much about him - Not even his name, as a matter of fact - But she does find number 92 rather cute.

Story:
Naminé blinked and opened her eyes. "Kai? You there?" There was no response. She looked around, still lying on her side, and, as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, noticed footprints in the nearby snow - And a lack of her sister.
For a few seconds, her mind flashed between panic and wanting to keep sleeping - Her sister was rather naive, and wandered off, but she never went far. Still, she usually told her if she was going out... It couldn't hurt to check, right?
"Kai, if you made me worry for no reason, I swear..." Naminé muttered, pushing herself upright and following her tracks. She walked for nearly an hour before catching sight of her twin. "Ugh, there you are! Do you know how long I've been following you?"
Kairi turned her head. "Oh, hiya, Nami! What's up?"
She shook her head. "Kairi, you left home at god knows what hour without telling me. I was worried something had happened to you."
"Oh? I guess I forgot, sorry!" She giggled. "I was going to the beach!"
Naminé stared blankly at her. "...Kai, it's the middle of winter."
"I know! I was going to collect seashells! Nobody else is going to be out doing it now," she explained, smiling. "I heard of these things, Wayfinders? They're these little star-shaped things that make good luck charms, and if you and your friends both have one, it means that you'll always find your way back to each other! Do you want to help?"
"...You know what? Sure."
---
Kairi grinned at her new, smiley-faced Wayfinder, then held up her little star. "Well, I couldn't find anything to use for the shells - Weren't the right shape - but I found some bright yellow paper laying around, and used that! It's kinda soggy, and might smell like fish, but it should work once it dries!"
Naminé shrugged, smiling as well. "It'll be great," she assured her, allowing the string to be placed around her neck.
Kairi turned her head to look at the sea. "I was actually thinking of heading off tonight, and wanted to make these so we'd still be able to see each other. I mean, we're old enough to be on our own, and with the beach so far away, and how much I love it..."
"...Kairi, I know we're old enough, but... Really? The beach, during winter?"
"Oh, I know! But you see, there's this other thing I heard of." She smiled, looking off towards the horizon. "They say that somewhere out there, on these beautiful tropical islands, there's a tree with star shaped fruit. They say the fruit represents an unbreakable connection, and that's why Wayfinders work. I figure, it'd be nice to be near the beach, and to see that every day, and to know that we'd meet again." She turned to her sister. "So, I've made up my mind. I'm gonna see that tree, and one day, we'll meet again. I know it!"
"...Right." She pulled her sister into a hug. "I love you, sis. Take care of yourself until we meet again, okay?"
Kairi nodded. "I will! And you know what? One day, I'll bring you there to see that tree, too! Promise!"
And so, Naminé walked home alone that night, not sad, but hopeful. Hopeful that that soggy, fishy little mess of paper would bring them back together again after all.
---
It had been years since that day, and thoughts of her sister's promise had been pushed to the back of Naminé's mind. In fact, all she really remembered was the small paper star around her neck.
"So, you said there's someone who wants to see me in this world?" the Kiamara asked, tilting her head at her new friend.
"Yup!" Garnet confirmed. "She's waiting for you just through Aura's portal."
"Don't worry, I won't close the portal on you while you're there," the small Riolu-Puffball hybrid added with a smirk.
Garnet flicked her. "Stop that!"
“I was just kidding!”
But she couldn't hear them, having already stepped through the portal.
She found herself on a tropical beach, with trees and cliffs to one side, and crystalline water and a smaller island to the other. In front of her was a shack, with a bridge connecting the main island's to the tiny one nearby.
"Up here!" a voice called from the small island. "Take the stairs in the shack to get to the bridge!" And Naminé, not knowing what else to do, made her way over.
She found a scarred, hornless Kiamara standing with her paws on a tree. "I told you we'd see each other again, sis! And I told you I'd find that tree!" She turned her head and grinned.
"...Kairi?" Naminé asked.
"Yup!" she said, revealing a small seashell charm with a faded smile.
"...Kai..." She ran over and hugged her. "You're okay..."
She laughed. "Not gonna ask me about the scars?" Kairi asked. "It's a funny story. I was looking for shells for more Wayfinders, actually, and I kinda jumped off a cliff into some sharp rocks. Got cut up, hit my head. I've had memory problems ever since, but I never forgot about my promise, because of your Wayfinder!"
Naminé shook her head. "I thought I told you to take care of yourself, not to give yourself a concussion!"
"Well, you did say until we meet again, so I guess that doesn't apply now!" she laughed, squirming out of the hug and jumping onto the tree. "And this is that tree! Want to see the fruit? It looks just like the Wayfinder I made!" She climbed onto it, and, nearing the fruit... Lost her footing and fell into the water.
"Kairi?!" Naminé called, that sense of panic setting in again. It didn't last.
Kairi's head popped out of the water. "I'm okay!" she called. "That doesn't count against my promise of taking care of myself!"
And Naminé, laughing, threw off her Wayfinder and jumped in after her.
