Name ::

I'd name this handsome young bean Sapphire if I won <3. My reasoning behind this name was that it fit him so well, with his coloring and how I imagine his personality to be like. I thought about it for a bit but came upon Sapphire fairly quickly. His one and only nickname as of now is Sapph. Being one of the biggest bird lovers, he'd be the perfect match and would have a wonderful home with Day and I.

ℐhe ℬoy who ℱlew

Though his markings showed wings; they d e c e i v e d him, he could not fly, could not live his dreams, though he n.e.v.e.r. gave in...

Sapph opened his eyes, he was greeted by the early dawn sunlight flooding through the red autumn leaves of the oak he slept under. He lifted his head and stood, shaking the dew out of his fur and blinking the sleep out of his eyes. The air was crisp, cool, and damp there was not a cloud in the colorful rainbow of the early morning sky. Perfect day for flying. he thought, grinning despite himself and suddenly bursting into a run, he sprinted down the hill on which the large oak grew and towards the hallowed out log that held an assortment of tools he used in his attempts at flight. There were strings and different types of fabric and needles and more in the hollow trunk. Sapphire finally arrived at his destination and began to work on his newest idea, hoping that this one might be successful. He took out a certain type of fabric that he'd stripped from an umbrella, it was already the correct circular shape that he needed for his plan. He dug around for some rope. When he'd found all the needed materials he set to work on creating nothing more than a makeshift parachute. He tied the rope onto the fabric and tied the other end around his waist, just above his pouch. Draping the parachute over his back he swiftly scaled a tree and sat on the highest branch he could find that would still hold his weight. Before jumping he hesitated and looked down at the base of the tree where he'd thrown all his failed contraptions and felt doubt flood through him. Shaking his head he braced himself and jumped, closing his eyes ready for the impact of falling to the earth yet again... It did not come. He opened his eyes and realizes he was drifting in the air and slowly floating to the ground. He smiled widely. When his paws finally touched the ground, he ran home to tell his parents that he finally flew.

I'd also love a Cedar Waxwing JBD, my favorite kind of bird. Ever. :U

I decided on the name Birch because
it is a type of tree and birds make me
think of trees for some reason. :3
short story under 800 words:
All Birch wanted was to fly.
He had always imagined leaping off of
the ground and not falling back down.
His love of flight reached a whole new
level once he was older. He began
studying air planes and sketching
his own plane designs. Birch dreams
to be a piolet when he is older. But
sometimes he doesn't want to wait that
long. One day Birch was sketching under
a lone tree and occasionally looking into
the sky and watched the birds fly. After a
few silent moments Birch set down his notebook
and began to climp the tree. Everyday Birch
tried to climp to the top of the tree to see what
the birds see in the sky. He wanted a taste of
flight. Today, however, was different. Today,
Birch brought along the wings he had made
of cardboard and tape. He was almost
positive they would work. When Birch
climbed the highest he could, he slipped
his cardboard wings over his front legs
and prepared to leap.

Tropic walked outside, Such a nice breeze, he looked up, such cool bird's.
Wait. He looked up again, those bird's looked just like him! "Woolllfff!" he called, "I'm going to catch those bird's!"
Wolf looked at Trops, "Sure!" Wolf called back "Just dont get into trouble!". Trops nodded, smiling and started off, chasing the bird's. That's when he felt it, a weird, almost altering sensation? He looked back, still running. "My pelt!" He whispered. His wing like marking's had begun to form wing's that, He could move? He thought, "Flap,flap, soar like the bird's!" He first whispered then about called out loud. That's when it happened, the world spun, he felt the weight come off his small shoulder's. "Yes!" he screamed, and started to shift his weight to change direction and create trick's. The bird's seemed to smile at him as they slowed a bit, waiting he thought. Trops spread his wing's wider ,and ducked a little as though he had been flying all his life, like the bird's which were, gone? Trops slowed. Where had they gone? Oh well he thought. He continued his search lower and closer to the ground. Finally he saw them. "Hey,Bird's!" he called to them."Hi Trops!" they called back! "How are you speaking?" he wondered. The bird's answered his thought. "We have created this dream Trops, we cannot speak unless you sleep. Tomorrow if you'd like we shall come back. If not we will find other bird based bean's to help. "Please stay!" Trops said, his eye's creating tears. "Ill meet you agian next night!" He called just as his dream blurred and swirled into bits of air. once he awoke he never even thought of the bird's who were smiling outside his window. He did though remember flying.
