GoS #100 <3 (Dark Brown Frame)

Postby Soph6297 » Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:32 am

This GoS is number #100.
I wasnt expecting that this species went so far, well, I'm a bit proud of it :')
There are so many beautiful Guardians out there, our artists have made an amazing job.
At this point - a big "THANK YOU!"
Also thank you to all adopters, who keep the community active.

This Guardian is based on a Clydesdale, so you may noticed some lineart edits. (:
And as you may already guessed - he is a rare one; with rainbow markings ;3

To get him... you have some different options to get him.
So if you see "Art/Story" that means you can do either a piece of art or write a story. If you do both you may get some bonus points (;

Name Meaning:
The name Favian has a Latin origin, and translates to mean 'man of wisdom.' I thought it suited him rather well, as the feathering and beard immediately made me think of an older stallion, who has accumulated wisdom throughout his life.

Why I Want Him:
Well, first of all, I've always been rather fond of Clydesdales. The line edits on this guy are lovely, and I am absolutely in love with that beard and the feathering. As well, I'm normally not too fond of the rainbow colouring, but on this guy, it just seems to match him perfectly. Perhaps it is just the rainbow marking contrasting with his normal bay coat, or perhaps it's the personality I can seem him having, but he is simply stunning! To add on to that, you know the feeling when you stumble upon a character that you can just think up a personality and story for, and you simply fall in love? I suppose that's what happened to me when I saw him. I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot of fun writing and finishing this form. ^^

Personality:
Courageous | Outgoing | Loyal | Playful | Protective | Caring | Wise
Although fairly old, Favian maintains many of the traits you might expect to see in a Guardian a third of his age. He's quite courageous, and is always up for a good adventure. In his earlier days, he was quite daring, and what many would call reckless. Not only that, but he was quite a trouble maker and prankster. If something went wrong, more often than not it was his doing. These particular traits have faded with the growing of age and gaining of wisdom, but they're certainly still there. Once in a while he still reverts back to that particularly playful state, unable to resist joking and teasing his family and friends. Favian has also always been rather out-going and laid back, rarely taking life extremely seriously. Despite all this, though, he does have a calm, wise, and sophisticated side to him. If need be, he can act with the nobility of a king; he simply isn't very fond of it. Instead, he rather act like a young colt, frolicking through the coral. He has remarkable stamina and strength for one of his age, and he shows this on almost a daily basis. Being too old has never been an excuse he has used, and he is still perfectly capable of many things that you might expect only a younger Guardian could perform.

Most also know Favian to be extremely loyal. He bonds strongly with others, and once this bond has been made, he'll never let it go. If you are ever in need of support or help, he is the one that will always welcome you with open arms and reassuring words. Favian will always try to help others sort through their problems, no matter what it is. In this way, he is a loyal friend and caring advisor. He wishes only the best upon others, never wishing ill-will to befall them. He is as kind as he is loyal, and will go to great lengths to help those he cares for. More than that, he is also very protective; particularly of young creatures. Favian has always had a particular fondness for young creatures, stemming mostly from their simple innocence. Not yet exposed to the evils of the world, Favian has always felt a nurturing sense towards children, and will protect them no matter what. In many ways, Favian is still a colt at heart, and in this way loves them that much more dearly. Favian is also very playful, and it's not rare to catch him joining in a game of chase, or other game the foals have invented. For that, they also love him, and often insist "Grandpa Favian" join them.

History:
Favian has never been particularly fond of talking about his past. Mostly because it contains too much sadness than he wishes to revisit. When he was born, he had only his mother, as his father had died only days before his birth. Perhaps this would have been alright, had his mother not also died while he was still fairly young. They had no herd, and when his mother had taken ill after accidently swimming into an oil leak, there was no one to take care of them. Favian tried his best to care for his mother, but his best efforts were not enough. When she died, he left with a heavy heart to find others of his kind. By this point, he was at an age where he could for the most part fend for himself, but sharks and other predators of that sort could make easy prey of a young, lone Guardian. Perhaps by a stroke of luck, he managed to find a herd within the first month of his searches. They welcomed the young stallion into their family, willingly caring for him. During his many years with this herd, he also came to find a mate, by the name of Nerala. Over time, the herd disbanded as the elders died, and the young ones went off in search of their own herds and new adventures. Favian and Nerala stayed together, and they spent many happy years together. That was, until the day she too became tragically wounded, after having been attacked by a Great White Shark. Only days after receiving the wound, she died. Favian was, to say the least, heart broken. They had never been able to have a foal themselves, and with all his family gone, he was truly alone. It was in the months following this tragic event that he found something that he claims saved him. In all honesty, it probably did, as he had become depressed and lethargic since the death of his beloved mate. What he found was a tiny Guardian foal, lost and alone. It couldn't have been more than a few days old, judging by the size, and was also utterly alone. Favian's heart went out to the little creature, and he decided to take her in as his own daughter, to raise and to cherish. He named her Ambala; a name both he and Nerala had adored. Ambala recovered quickly from her days without a parent, and grew to be a strong Guardian. Since then, few misfortunes has struck the little family, and Ambala herself even found a mate; a stallion named Wynter. Recently, Favian has been entertaining himself with thoughts of what his future grandchild will be like, and it's safe to say he's more content now than he's ever been in his life...

Theme Song:
Shepherd's Hey by Percy Grainger
Seeing as this is an instrumental, perhaps I should explain this a bit. This song is very upbeat and playful, which relates back to Favian's personality. A colt at heart, this simply illustrates the playfulness Favian still maintains. It also has some unusual parts in it, which I imagine to represent Favian's often quirky behaviour.

Art:

Story:
Favian absentmindedly propelled himself forward, not really caring which direction he went. He had no home, no family, no friends; where on earth could he possibly go? So instead, he simply glided through the clear water, lost deep in the crevices of his own mind. Shafts of sunlight penetrated through the ocean's surface, playing on the coral and illuminating the brightly coloured fish. It was a stunning sight, but it did nothing to brighten the stallion's mood. His mind wandered to the past, to better days. He remembered his old herd, the ones who had fostered him after his mother died. To the Guardians he looked up to as role models, and to those he considered his siblings. Most of all, he thought of his beloved mate, Nerala. All were long gone now, dead, or off to find their own adventures. Who knew where they could be by now? In any case, he was alone now...

It was the metallic smell of blood that finally shocked Favian to his senses. Painful memories from the last time he had smelled such a scent stabbed his heart, but he forcefully pushed them away. Nerala's death had been tragic, but there was no longer anything he could do for her. However, whoever was injured now, he could possibly help. With that thought searing through his mind, he determinedly started forward. The scent faded as the blood diffused into the water, becoming diluted. All the same, it wasn't too hard to find where it came from. Favian reached it just in time to watch a fin slide out of sight, one that looked suspiciously like the tail fin of a Great White. Coral was smashed and seaweed torn from holds floated through the water. It was obvious a fight had issued here. Judging by the damage, something, or somethings, had stood up to the shark that had been here only moments ago. If he had to guess, he would say at least one Guardian stood, and died here. "But why didn't they run?" Favian murmured to himself as he surveyed the damage. Guardians could easily out swim Great Whites; there was no need for a confrontation.

The sound of soft scratching from a nearby rock answered his question. A small grey nose poked out from the crevice under a the rock, pushing past the plant life growing across it. Pain and understanding raced through Favian as realization hit him. They didn't run because they were protecting their offspring, who would have otherwise fallen easy prey to the shark. They had simply been protecting their young with everything they had, including their lives. Favian watched as the small foal slowly came out of hiding, small eyes desperately searching for anything familiar. It was heart-wrenching to watch the foal, knowing very well they would never again see what they so dearly loved. Judging by the filly's size, she couldn't be more than a day old. On her own, she wouldn't last half that time... Her small, pleading eyes turned to Favian as he remained floating above. She may have realized that this was not her parent, but he was the closest thing she had to a family now. Knowing the feeling all too well, Favian felt pity for the little filly. He slowly descended towards her, hoping that she would trust him. She didn't move until he reached her, and then simply placed her small muzzle against his much larger one.

Nerala certainly wouldn't have refused taking in the little orphan foal, and Favian had no intention of doing anything other then precisely that. He gently turned away, and the filly feebly swam after him, not yet having earned complete control over her tail. When she did sway from her course, Favian gently guided her back to his side, never letting her go far. He found a small deserted cave a little ways a way, and led her there. Her ordeal had left her exhausted, and she curled up to his side and fell asleep within moments. Gazing down at the little grey filly, Favian was reminded once more of his mate. Both he and Nerala had always wanted a foal of their own, but due to unknown reasons, simply could not. For the first time in many months, Favian smiled as he gazed down at the small creature at his side. Although it was tragedy that had brought them together, he couldn't help but be thankful he had found her. He remained lost in thought for quite a while as he lay next to the filly as she slept on.

Gazing down once more at her, he supposed he should think of a name. She was too young to remember the name her parents had given her; that is, if they did name her before they died. Looking down at her grey coat and swirling yellow markings, one name in particular came to mind. "Ambala," he spoke softly, looking down at the filly. It was a name Nerala and him has chosen, should they ever have a filly themselves. Looking down at her sleeping form, no name could have suited her better. Favian did not move for several hours, keeping a vigilant guard until Ambala finally awoke. As soon as she was fit to move, they both began on their way again.

Favian did not pretend to know much about foals. Other than the occasional game with the ones in his last herd, he had very little contact with any foals. Perhaps if Nerala was still here, he would be alright, but as it was, he was clueless. At this point, he was more concerned about finding a herd more than anything else. He would never forgive himself if he lost Ambala too, simply due to his own incompetence. This thought only fueled his resolve, and strengthened his determination to find them a safe place. Unfortunately, due to his self inflicted solitude, Favian was unsure where to begin. Guardian herds rarely remained in one place for long, and could travel miles in a single day. Perhaps on his own he could have easily located and caught up to another herd, but with a day old foal at his side? The chances were slim...

Nevertheless, Favian pressed onward. Ambala seemed happy enough to simply swim by his side, following his every move and gazing at the world around her in wonder, as though she had never witnessed anything like this. She probably hasn't see anything like this, Favian reminded himself lightly as he swam, keeping a close eye on the little filly. Her bright, alert eyes shone with wonder, and seemed to take everything in. Fish flickered in the well lit water, and the coral gave the ocean a splash of colour. It really was beautiful, with the sun beams filtering through the shallow water. Favian smiled at Ambala's innocence as she stretched out her muzzle to each creature that strayed towards the pair, seeming to hope to befriend every sea creature that caught her gaze. It was amusing to watch, and Favian probably would have allowed her interact with some of the friendlier creatures had they not been in a hurry. As it was, Favian ushered Ambala along, determined to find a herd to support the two.

Luck seemed to be on the side of the little filly. Within a few hours of starting his search, Favian succeeded in finding another herd. It was a fairly small herd, made up of several mares and foals, along with a fairly young stallion. Most of them had also come from bad situations, and had banded together for protection. When Favian explained his situation, they were more than happy to provide shelter for the pair, and immediately took pity on little Ambala. Favian was relieved that the mares accepted the little filly, and was delighted to find the others foals were quite close to her age. Celest, Xenzion, and Wynter were their names, and in time, the four became inseparable friends. Ambala's presence drew Favian from his depression, and gave him another purpose in life. Under the supervision of Favian and the other mares, Ambala grew to become a strong mare, along with her new-found friends.

Current Day
"Grandpa Favian! Grandpa Favian!" a playful cry called out, shattering the otherwise quiet day. Favian twisted his head around to see who had called his name, and within moments Charon rounded the bend at full speed.
"Hey Charon," Favian greeted the colt, smiling at his grandson. Although he was technically the foal's foster grandfather, it had never stopped Favian from doting upon the colt as though they were blood family. He had raised Ambala, Charon's mother, since she was barely a day old, and for all intents and purposes, was her father.
Charon playfully dashed upon Favian, nipping at the much older stallion's mane. "Mom sent me," the foal explained as he swam around his grandfather, rarely staying in one spot for longer than a minute. "Something about her getting... Ex-as-per-ated," Charon continued, carefully enunciating every syllable of the strange word. At just over two months old, the colt had a keen grasp of language, but was certainly still learning.
Favian smiled gently at the colt, glad for the excuse to spend time with his grandson. Ambala was normally patient and calm, but lately she had been stretched thin. The sharks had been more active than normal lately, and as lead mare of the herd, her duty to protect the herd was causing her worry. Having a young colt that was barely able to remain still for a moment only contributed to this, and he could understand his daughter's exasperation.
"Yeah?" Favian asked jokingly. "Well, I guess you'll just have to deal with your boring old grandpa for a little while." His words earned a giggle from Charon as he pulled at Favian's mane again.
"You're not boring, Grandpa!" Charon exclaimed, coming to a stop in front of the older stallion. "Can you tell me a story?"
Favian smiled at the colt's request. Charon always was interested by his grandfather's past, and often insisted he tell him stories. "Of course!" Favian paused for a moment after saying this, racking his brain for an old memory to satisfy the young colt. Suddenly, the perfect one came to mind. Smiling, Favian lowered his voice, and began his tale. "One dark night, when the ocean churned and tossed with the power of the wind..."

40 Years Earlier
Favian tossed his head, having a hard time keeping his focus in the turmoil around him. The sounds of the thrashing ocean pounded in his ears as the storm raged above the surface of the water. Had he retreated to deeper water, as the rest of his herd had, he would have been safe from the clutches of the storm, but in the shallow water it was all he could do to prevent himself from being tossed around like a helpless foal. The reason he had not escaped to deeper water, away from the battering elements, was based completely on a dare. Perhaps it was reckless, and what some may even call stupid, but it was rare for Favian to turn down a dare. Besides, he had thought when he had accepted, maybe I'll even having some fun.
Now that he was actually here though, he was seriously reconsidering the logic behind his reasoning. Being tossed around the ocean like a doll was anything but fun. Favian was not one to break a deal though, so he continued to ride out the storm. Water churned around him, and he spotted white foam coating each wave above. The sight distracted him for only a moment, but it was enough. Favian found himself tumbling hoof over head as a particularly large wave sucked him into it. Moments later his head broke the surface, only to be thrust down again as the wave folded in upon itself. Disoriented, Favian twisted and turned, trying to figure out which way was up. Seconds later another wave swept him up, only to pound back against him. With a powerful thrust of his tail, Favian managed to dive down a little more, away from the battering force of the waves.
Weary from his struggle, Favian tried to shadow the ocean floor, escaping most of the waves. For several hours he remained like this, clinging to the sandy bottom. Slowly, he began to notice the waves above had faded from a thundering roar to a soft lapping. The dark storm clouds had slowly faded away, allowing wane sunlight to once again illuminate the ocean. Limbs stiff and weary from his tumble with the waves, Favian slowly righted himself, moving away from the sandy ocean floor. His necklace seemed particularly heavy on his neck this morning, but that was probably just from how tired his limbs were. The ocean was calm now, so it was a good guess his herd had at least begun to move themselves to shallower waters. Flexing his powerful tail, he began to swim forward, back towards his herd's regular grounds. Something caught his eye though as he began to move. A large nearby rock had the plant life that usually adorned it's edges torn away by last night's storm, revealing a large hole. Curiosity getting the better of him, Favian swam to the lip of the dark cave. From his vantage point it was impossible to see how deep the cave was, as he could see little more than a foot in front of him.
Favian eyed the cave, then turned back to his original course. There would be time to explore the cave later; for now, his priority was returning to his herd. He was correct about his herd returning, and sure enough, they were waiting for him. The moment he arrived he was swarmed by his friends, all clambering to hear his story. At the attention, Favian puffed out his chest, and began to speak of his triumph, perhaps only exaggerating a tad. As he spoke, though, he was distracted by a thought. The cave intruded his mind, and the thought of what lay within it. After all, who knew how long the cave remained untouched, it's entrance covered by years of plants? One of his closer friends, Nerala, noticed his distraction almost immediately. She rarely cared for the exaggerated tales and acts of recklessness the young stallions often performed, and Favian figured she had come simply to humor him. His distraction, though, was apparently obvious to her. When Nerala inquired about it, Favian was snapped back to the present.
"I found a cave," Favian blurted, unable to contain himself. The others gazed quizzically at him, obviously not impressed. After all, there were tons of small caves around here, so long as you knew where to look. Seeing that the others were unimpressed by his exclamation, Favian quickly explained farther. After he had finished his explanation, several of the others squirmed with curiosity. Several, but not all. "What proof do you have there is anything special about this cave?" Nerala asked skeptically. "For all you know, it's just an empty cave." "Well, we won't know until we've taken a look, now will we?" Favian replied with a grin, shaking off the skepticism. Nerala rolled her eyes, but Favian caught the smile on her muzzle. He had no doubt that if he decided to go, she would accompany him.
Later that day, Favian rounded up a couple of his friends whose curiosity was just as strong as his own. Sure enough, Nerala was one of them. Favian quickly led his friends back to where he had first spotted the cave, and they excitedly clambered to get a view. Despite the sun lighting up this shallow bit of ocean, it was impossible to see very far down. The Guardians craned their necks, literally shivering in excitement as their minds wandered through all the possibilities. Favian was the bravest of the group, venturing forward to actually stick his head farther into the cave. Squinting his eyes, he swore he saw-

Current Day
"Hey Favian, hey squirt!" came a call from behind the coral, interrupting Favian's story. Charon, who had grown still while Favian had spoken, now leaped up, twirling around to see the newcomer. "Hey Aunty Cel!" the foal piped up, spotting the mare exiting the brightly colored coral. Celest, or Aunty Cel, as Charon liked to call her, was another of his 'family'. She had grown up with Ambala, and the two had become best friends. As they grew older, their bond only grew stronger. Celest had decided to remain with Ambala and her other friends as time progressed, and had certainly become part of their family.
"Your mum sent me to check on you," Celest said, winking at Favian. "She wanted to make sure you weren't giving her grandpa too hard of a time."
"I'm not," Charon replied with a feverish shake of his head. "Grandpa Favian was just telling me a story!"
"Ah," Celest replied, well aware of Favian's story telling skills. "And what story is it this time? Whales? Sharks? Or perhaps it's his recount of his run in with pirates?"
"It's about a cave and a storm!" Charon piped, his eyes dancing with excitement.
"Well now, I know all about that one," Celest replied, "What did you used to call it, Favian? The Cave of Wonder?"
"The Cave of Endless Wonder," Favian corrected, a playful sparkle in his eye.
"Right! Well, I can see you two are doing just fine here, so I'll leave you to it," Celest replied, turning back to where she had come from.
"Right, now where was I?" Favian murmured, half to himself.
"You were just looking into the cave with your friends," Charon said, squirming with barely contained excitement.
"Ah, right," Favian began. "Well, I ducked my head into that little cave, and I could have sworn I saw..."

40 Years Earlier
Favian quickly backed away from the dark cave, startled by what he had seen. Or thought he had seen, Favian corrected himself. It was pitch black down there; it very well could have simply been his eyes playing tricks on him.

Means " colorful", " rainbow" in Mayan. I also chose this name because Ishiko gives me a quaint and a colorful-but-not-fancy feeling, which is the amazing part about this GoS.

Traditional... Sorry if the coloring and markings are off and some smaller parts are marred! D: My skill was lousy in the first place, and my pencils were all stubby. the sudden brown streak is an eraser shaving... I'll replace a cleaner one if I have time.. But for now, please bear with this one. * hides in corner*

(Story w. min. 200 words)

The Rainbow Swirl

" Deep in the temple where the full moon rises, far away from all gorgeaous prizes, right in the caves where no one has been, a magical object shall be seen, round as the moon yet shimmering like mist, seven colors all in a twist...." The elders call it the Rainbow Swirl, a magical orb that only appears in the oldest nursery tales... But how do you know it doesn't exist?

Not many GoS took this seriously, but Ishiko was an exception. He was born with an imaginative and unique mind, and he had the tendency to believe all of the unbelievable. " Prove it. " said some. Others just shook their heads, not entirely sure if it was true or not. Ishiko had no proof, but his heart told him to believe, so he did. One day, as he was weaving among the giant stalks of seaweed on the border of his home, a glint in the sand caught his eye...Sea glass was common in the realm, but their glint never roused him as much as this one. This glint was both sharp and soft, somehow bright and dark at the same time, it also had a strange magical tinge to it. He hesitated for a moment, since the glint was near a series of dark caves the GoS had never bothered to enter. But this glint intrigued him much, so after a moment of thinking, he swam toward it, regardless of the dark shape that somewhat shifted from inside one of the caves......

Ishiko swam eagerly towards the glint that attracted him so, not even hesitating when it was swept into one of the caves. He followed it through dark passageways, through small chambers and who knows what else ...Until at last he caught up with it! He gently swept up the piece with his tail, only to find it suddenly sucked from his grasp! Only then did he look up to inspect his surroundings.... And his eyes flew wide with shock! He was in an ancient carven filled with sparkling gemstones every color imaginable, a collectors dream come true. His eyes turned back to the shard on the ground.. It seemed so dull now, compared to the mountain in front of him. But it felt wrong inside his gut to stop now, and the shard was slowly drifting toward a smaller tunnel a little ways from the gemstone mountain. Taking one last look at the marvelous mountain, Ishiko sucked in a breath and swam after the shard once more. As he entered the small tunnel, he immediately regretted his decision. Besides being small and cramped, the tunnel was also very dirty and smelly... And filled with bones. Not just fishbones, shark bones as well. But there was no turning back now, all Ishiko could do was suck in another breath and continue his pursuit...

To his relief, the tunnel finally widened out after a seemingly endless journey filled with bones and gunk. He burst out happily into yet another cave... And nearly fainted at what met his eyes. It was a very very ancient cave with an altar-shaped thing in the center. A beam of moonlight shot through a hole in the middle of the roof and landed on a beautiful orb that sat in the middle of the altar. Ishikos mouth fell open at the beauty of this orb; it had not collected any scum nor dirt in the past thousand years, and it now shone and shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow, just like the description in the nursery tales that the elders told so often. Colors bounced everywhere, seeming to repaint the walls as the moon rose into the night sky, instantly turning the cave into another world altogether. Ishiko watched on delightedly until the moon rose to its full height, then he swam to the altar and gently swept the orb into his safe grasp. He was elated with his marvelous find and he coudnt wait to zoom home and show everyone! But his delighted smile quickly dissapeared as a very big and dark shape emerged from the shadows... It was a great white shark!! The biggest, most ancient great white ever to appear on the sea floor now turned to face him, eyes glittering with malice and bloodlust. Ishiko backed away in alarm, turning his head this way and that, searching for a possible escape route to no avail. The cave was a solid dead end, with spikes and bits of rock to boot. Then his gaze fell to the hole in the ceiling. It looked big enough... His eyes sparked with determination. In the instant the great white leapt forward to make his kill, Ishiko shot toward the roof with all his might. His aim was true, for he exploded out of the hole without a scratch! Then he took off full speed for his home territory, heart beating fit to burst. The other GoS were both annoyed and proud of their comrade, and welcomed him back with much celebration.. After scolding him about retuning home so late and giving everyone a heart attack. The Orb? It was perfectly safe, stuffed inside Ishiko's collar. The elders decided to honor him by grafting the orb on the front of his collar, and he still wears it to this day.

I am a very big fan of rainbows, equines, Clysdales and of course this adoptable species. Owning this so very special GoS would be a very big honor for me, as well as lots of fun. Besides, he reminds me that life is very colorful, and I should appreciate what I have now. :) I admit I often rave about how very boring and stressful my life is... but he is always here to add a little color and spice it up. :) I had tons of fun just making this form, and I belive he would be another ton of fun to draw, no matter for me or for other artists. Rainbows and equines are a vital part of my life, as I say. I really can't imagine life without them, though I'm pretty sure it would be boring and " colorless". :3 Oh yes, I found out he actually an effect on my mood. o.O my bro was being a pest when I was drawing his fan art, and guess what I did? I asked him to stop, nicely. O.O I normally just yell " shut up" at him. >.> true story. :3 Oh yes, I will be forever amazed by his collar. It just set off the crazy imaginative part of my brain somehow... Thats where the fanfic gimmick came from.. and I'm loving it!! How in the world did you do those swirls?

( based off Where Have the Unicorns Gone? by Jane Yolen)

He has followed the current where the blue whale sings

Down, down to a magical world that swirls and flows

To play in the silent stalks of coral.

Roused by gouts of sparkling red flames

By angler fish and their snapping games

He swam past ruins of towering stone

Past ancient hills which water has drowned

Past rust-covered ships, past seaweed-overgrown columns

He swam on, looking around, nipping at the silky stalks of growths.

Startled by the patter of a magical rain

Echoing through the currents of this mystical plain

He avoided the noise going down, down, down

To the swishing bed of the seafloor.

Little fish scattered behind a log

As he wrapped himself in wee wisplets of fog

Leaving the stone-studded mortal-made capes

Twisting in grey glittering moon rays

Along with the scenting of mist and dew

Along with a coat only seen in few

Down to a rainbow river.

And into the flowering moment of dawn,

He leapt out of the endless sea..

In the moment that separates nighttime and dawn

The instant of daydreams here and then gone

He flew with a toss of a mane and horn

Wreathed rainbows like a Phoenix reborn

Accompanied by seafoam and seashells galore

He became a legend of all folklore

The magnificent brainchild

of the great Soph6297!

On the Outside
Ishiko, as his name suggests, is a very colorful and bright GoS. He has really wild imagination and never thinks the same way as others. As a result, he's often a " happy seed" as described in Chinese. :P He's just the GoS you need when you've got a frown you need to turn upside down! His hobbies are collecting beautiful gemstones and bits of sea glass, painting and drawing, and of course daydreaming. However, every personality has its downside... There is such thing as being too imaginative sometimes ( even if I don't admit it ), especially when you live in a place with spooky dark caves and great white sharks and who knows what else. o.o"It's really not that funny ( or safe) sometimes when he sees a great white coming, but he describes it as an " underwater Pegasus with teeth" -3- and the other GoS have to think a bit before they know what in the sea he's yelling about . Sounds awesome, but the " underwater Pegasus with teeth" is about to bite your head off fast and.. * facehoof*. ._. Fortunately the GoS are extremely fast, so no one has died of misinterpretation yet.. But close calls are scary enough. xD

Deeper Down

The very thing this colorful GoS hates and fears is death and darkness. He doesn't like the heavy and tragic atmosphere that hangs in the water when a GoS dies. Also, he's extremely sensitive to the pain and anguish that churns and crashes inside one's heart when a loved one is gone forever, so he does his very best to prevent that from happening, even if it may cost him his life... But everyone dies sooner or later, and he has yet to learn to " let go" , to accept death.

Other:
Excuse my bad grammar and writing.... :O I rarely get to practice my English writing, living in an Asian country and all ( Chinese, Chinese everywhere. Dx) .The story itself is actually a really basic storyline for the fanfic I was talking about. :P it's going to be a lot longer tho. xD

But enough of that off-topic stuff. x3 it was a barrel of fun doing this form.. I broke my record of the fanciest form I've ever did. Good luck everyone, and congrats to whoever wins him! :D

Name:
Ayako

Age:
23

Meaning of the name/Why you choose the name:
Well, I believe it is Japanese and it means 'Color' or 'Design.' I really liked the name for some reason, and after a couple minutes of searching for a name for him on various websites, I finally settled on Ayako. It is a very nice name in my mind, and I think it fits him. My own GoS, Rin, has a Japanese name, and I think it means 'dignified' or something like that. I think it would be nice if both of them had Japanese names. I hope you like the name Ayako as much as I do ;3
