Chocolate has a long long history. Chocolate itself is derived from the seeds of a fleshy pod, which is the fruit of the Cacao tree. The tree's botanical name is Theobroma cacao, which means literally: "food of the Gods", and most of us would agree.

Cocoa beans are thought to be too fleshy to be seeds/bean and are in fact fruit. Xona loves the rich texture and flavour of chocolate and the colour even reminds her of herself! She loves the warmth that floods through her when it melts on her tongue and the immediete feeling of happiness that she gets after eating it. She has to watch how much she eats though, she could eat a whole pile of them without feeling in the skightest ill!

Even though she loves cocoa beans, she finds them a bit to sweet sometimes and likes to add dip them in salt (chocolate and salt are well known together). I meen, who doesn't like the "food of the Gods"? If the Gods loved it, so does she as she likes to think of herself as a bit of a goddess

Equid's name: Dulce, which if I am correct is Romanian for sweet. I figured that since she likes fruit, it fits. I enjoy using different languages for names, it makes them extra special.

She loves the sweet scent of the skin, and how they only burst into bloom in summer, reserved as a special gift in the warm months. Everything is summery about them, with their warm, fiery colors and tropical taste that tickles your tastebuds when you take a bite. Dulce loves summer, a welcome break from the cold, unforgiving winters.

She loves to lap up the tart, tangy interior and pick through the little black seeds. Other than the delectable taste, Cherise loves that this summery treat reminds her of the warm days in June.

Fruit: Hickory's favorite fruit is watermelon. As a foal she was given pieces of ripe and juicy watermelon as treats in the summer. She remembers how sweet the fruit was that time of year, and the color was beautiful. The watermelon was grown on a farm no too far away from where her mother had birthed her, so it was alway plentiful. To break open the watermelon her mother would stomp on it. Even after she had left her mother she continued eating watermelon in the summers, and she used the same method as her mother to break them open.
