Answer: His favorite gem is the Chalk Emerald. The Chalk Emerald is a type of emerald, and it is his favorite, because he thinks it is the deepest, purest green he has ever seen. It reminds him of brand new shoots of grass in the Spring, and he loves the way it looks against his pelt. He carried one of these precious gems around with him everywhere he went. He hid it under his tongue, and wouldn't let it out of his sight when he would lay it somewhere. It was about the size of a half-dollar coin. When he was taken in by his owner (me! ^-^) she found the beautiful gem one day when checking his teeth for any abscesses. She took it and made a necklace with it. She put the Chalk Emerald necklace around Charlie's neck, and he loved it. Never again would he have to worry about losing it. Now, that he has this necklace, his owner lets him run in the mountains, for the wonderful gift she had given him made him love her more than the Chalk Emerald itself, and he will always come back to her. <3
