A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewls on their foreheads and tails. They eat mostly small mamals such as birds, squirels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to atract females

She said:

My name resembles the sun in latin, It is a traditoin in my family to name the second child of a litter Marisol, it has been a traditoin for years of coarse this only counts for girls! I am from the country of Spain it is really pretty there! I suggest a trip with family and friends. I love my country very much and I think you'll like it too,

I come from spain as I said above, my family moved to America when I was very young! I couldn't even talk! I'm sorry that I don's speak english I can only say Hi! and How are you? But that's it! My mother would tell me, "Don't cry the Ghost will get you!!" I know it sounds silly but it helped in my difficult life!

Mi amiga lo tomará de aquí!

My friend can take it from here!

This is a story that the old ones have been telling to children for hundreds of years. It is a sad tale, but it lives strong in the memories of the people, and there are many who swear that it is true.

Long years ago in a humble little village there lived a fine looking girl named Maria Some say she was the most beautiful girl in the world! And because she was so beautiful, Maria thought she was better than everyone else.

As Maria grew older, her beauty increased And her pride in her beauty grew too When she was a young woman, she would not even look at the young men from her village. They weren't good enough for her! "When I marry," Maria would say, "I will marry the most handsome man in the world."

And then one day, into Maria's village rode a man who seemed to be just the one she had been talking about. He was a dashing young ranchero, the son of a wealthy rancher from the southern plains. He could ride like a Comanche! In fact, if he owned a horse, and it grew tame, he would give it away and go rope a wild horse from the plains. He thought it wasn't manly to ride a horse if it wasn't half wild.

He was handsome! And he could play the guitar and sing beautifully. Maria made up her mind-that was, the man for her! She knew just the tricks to win his attention.

If the ranchero spoke when they met on the pathway, she would turn her head away. When he came to her house in the evening to play his guitar and serenade her, she wouldn't even come to the window. She refused all his costly gifts. The young man fell for her tricks. "That haughty girl, Maria, Maria! " he said to himself. "I know I can win her heart. I swear I'll marry that girl."

And so everything turned out as Maria planned. Before long, she and the ranchero became engaged and soon they were married. At first, things were fine. They had two children and they seemed to be a happy family together. But after a few years, the ranchero went back to the wild life of the prairies. He would leave town and be gone for months at a time. And when he returned home, it was only to visit his children. He seemed to care nothing for the beautiful Maria. He even talked of setting Maria aside and marrying a woman of his own wealthy class.

As proud as Maria was, of course she became very angry with the ranchero. She also began to feel anger toward her children, because he paid attention to them, but just ignored her.

One evening, as Maria was strolling with her two children on the shady pathway near the river, the ranchero came by in a carriage. An elegant lady sat on the seat beside him. He stopped and spoke to his children, but he didn't even look at Maria. He whipped the horses on up the street.

When she saw that, a terrible rage filled Maria, and it all turned against her children. And although it is sad to tell, the story says that in her anger Maria seized her two children and threw them into the river! But as they disappeared down the stream, she realized what she had done! She ran down the bank of the river, reaching out her arms to them. But they were long gone.

The next morning, a traveler brought word to the villagers that a beautiful woman lay dead on the bank of the river. That is where they found Maria, and they laid her to rest where she had fallen.

But the first night Maria was in the grave, the villagers heard the sound of crying down by the river. It was not the wind, it was La Llorona crying. "Where are my children?" And they saw a woman walking up and down the bank of the river, dressed in a long white robe, the way they had dressed Maria for burial. On many a dark night they saw her walk the river bank and cry for her children. And so they no longer spoke of her as Maria. They called her La Llorona, the weeping woman. And by that name she is known to this day. Children are warned not to go out in the dark, for, La Llorona might snatch them and never return them.

~Hobbies

To me, really I have many likes and hobbies that I like to do but I only have time for two of each, I don't want to waste your time but here it goes! My first of the hobbies is soccer, I know what you're saying, "She's from Spain of coarse she likes soccer!" But no, It's not like that, it's Different. I love soccer, because the thrill. Image it! You're in the field, people yelling your name. Your adrenaline is pumping as you approach the ball, your coach is praying for this win, this it it. The moment. The time! This is the only time you'll ever feel this feeling in your soul.

Secondly I love dancing, Why I love dancing you ask? I'll tell you why in song, *Music Starts*♫I'll tell why I love dancing , but listen really close, This song will tell you the reason I call you here! Step forward but not to close, Look at your partner, let him/her lead, Dance the Salsa, and then you'll see the wonders of dancing oh yes sir si♫

Pink Dust's POV on Marisol::As you can see Today Marisol is a little on the sassy side today, Check out The Narrater Show! Today's Lead Guest is MARISOL! But enough with the ads and lets pay attention to Marisol, She is a sassy little spunky JMD that dances like an angel. The lovely little girl will be big one day, and I would know, I LIVE with her, it's not at easy as you think, she's a pain! But I love her

My POV:: She's a lovely little Jewelie who is full of spunk, her dancing is as graceful as a swan, her jewel glistens in the night and makes people swarm to her dance group as she say "Madame, and Gentléman. " She dances around the pavement and pulls people to her and dances with them, ENOUGH! I say as I run "Past your bedtime!" Back to her personality.
Image

~Long ago (15) a beautiful little Jewelie was born under the sun, her mother gasped "I don't have a yellow jewel! Neither does your dad! You're a gift from the sun!" She said as Marisol squirmed around her arms. She opened her eyes and said "Bonita!" She yelled while fly up into the air following the yellow butterfly, Years laater she saw the following butterfly over and over again, it never died. She wondered what kind of butterfly it was. SHe thought it was a fake. She was wrong. That very butterfly was the butterfly of Fate. Good fortune was heading her way...

Oh uh-huh
If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea
I'll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see
I'll be the light to guide you

Find out what we're made of
When we are called to help our friends in need

You can count on me like 1, 2, 3
I'll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like 4, 3, 2
You'll be there
'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah
Ooooooh, oooohhh yeah, yeah

If you're tossin' and you're turnin'
And you just can't fall asleep
I'll sing a song beside you
And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me
Every day I will remind you

Oooh
Find out what we're made of
When we are called to help our friends in need

You can count on me like 1, 2, 3
I'll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like 4, 3, 2
You'll be there
'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah
Ooooooh, oooohhh yeah, yeah

You'll always have my shoulder when you cry
I'll never let go, never say goodbye
You know...

~Bruno Mars

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

~Shel Silverstein

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
~E.E Cummings

There is another sky,
Ever serene and fair,
And there is another sunshine,
Though it be darkness there;
Never mind faded forests, Austin,
Never mind silent fields -
Here is a little forest,
Whose leaf is ever green;
Here is a brighter garden,
Where not a frost has been;
In its unfading flowers
I hear the bright bee hum:
Prithee , my brother,
Into my garden come!

~Emily Dickinson

Translated: I learned Salsa when I was very young, In fact, I learned how to salsa before I could even fly!My great grandfather was the king of salsa! I never looked down when I dance! Heres some information on how salsa started..

The Latin music we hear today has its origins in Cuba where the blending of African drum rhythms and Spanish guitar evolved into a variety of Latin American music: Son, Danzón, the rhythms of Carnival, Cha cha cha, Mambo, Salsa.....even Tango came out of Cuba.

During the war in Cuba in 1898 US Soldiers got a taste for Cuban music. Later, during Prohibition in the USA, Americans went to Cuba where drinking alcohol was legal and they became infected with the Latin rhythms.

As early as 1909 radio recordings came out of Cuba. In 1932 American Radio came to Cuba to record Orquesta Anacoana. This amazing all-female orquesta consisted of 10 sisters. They were the first females in Cuba to openly play percussion, horns and other instruments. Locked in the house for days at a time during the war, they had nothing to do but practice. This group evolved into one of Cuba's leading orchestras and one of the first to get top billing in New York. One sister, Graciela, went on to become the lead singer for Machito's orchestra.

It wasn't long before musicians in the USA began incorporating Latin rhythms into their own music. In 1900, W.C. Handy visited Cuba and began our legacy of Latin jazz here in the USA. Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie "Bird" Parker, Stan Getz and Cal Tjader have all followed the tradition by blending and evolving Latin jazz. Gillespie added a Cuban drummer named Chano Pozo to his band in 1938 and they began to compose together.

Even the less esoteric forms of music in the USA have sampled Latin rhythms and incorporated them with great success. Sam Cooke, The Diamonds, Johnny Otis, Elvis Presley, Bo Diddley and Nat King Cole all helped popularize Latin music with hits containing elements from Cuban music. Gloria Estefan is one of the most well-known contemporary popularizers of Latin music in the USA. She has very successfully blended English lyrics and and rock and roll style with her Cuban musical heritage.

To find the roots of Cuban music we look to West Africa where the slave trade thrived. The Yoruba, Congo and other West African people created rhythms in ancient times to call forth various gods. Sadly, these wonderful rhythms were brought over to the New World under dire circumstances. One drummer named Ijibwa was taken captive and placed on a slave ship for America. He was forced to play on deck to keep up the spirits of the prisoners so that the "merchandise" would arrive alive.

The slaves used the drum rhythms in Christian worship too. Slaves were forced to adopt Christianity upon arrival in the new World, but often called their own gods by Christian names so as to avoid punishment. A similar practice was the progenitor of the "Yo Mama is so..." jokes in existence today among African-Americans. "Mama" was actually a code word for "Master". Hardly anyone telling these jokes today remembers what "Mama" actually stood for in slave times. In Latin music most of the listeners are not even aware that the drum rhythms we dance to are actually religious in meaning, dedicated to various African gods. Cabillolos (secret societies) still exist in Cuba and keep alive over 200 different rhythms for different African gods.

Troubadours from Spain brought Flamenco guitar music to Cuba. Out of this came Son. Rural Cubans brought the folk guitar to Havana after the war in 1898. Isaac Oviedo was one of the originators of son. He taught himself the guitar by watching other musicians and started the group Santiga Casana, a charuquita group; kettle drum (timbál), ceramic jog, accordion and guitar. In 1926 Oviedo brought the Matanza Sextet to Havana. Later on Emilio Orfe created the danzón style with violin, cello, flute and African drums. He started his first orchestra at age eleven!

Oreste Lopez helped create Mambo by combining danzón with African rhythms from the street. The dancing itself came out of rehearsals where couples would come over and improvise. Lope put together Arcanos Orchestra in 1938.

Xavier Cugat was another important figure in popularizing Mambo. Born in Spain and raised in Cuba, Cugat was initially trained in classical violin beginning at age 8. His music was a unique blend of Afro-Cuban and Flamenco influences. Cugat spent time in New York and Berlin before giving up music to become a cartoonist for the LA Times (!), but in the 1940's Charlie Chaplin dragged him out of his musical retirement to compose a score for the Chaplin film City Lights. Cugat formed a group, "Cugat and the Gigolos" and found that he could make a living in Hollywood doing tropical music for films. He created a smooth Latin blend of music that was very popular with Busby Berkeley and Fred Astaire.

Don Aspiazu started the Rumba craze in 1930 with his Rumba dance team and full orchestra. Anglo-Americans were in a frenzy over the "fiery tempo and barbaric melody" and thought of Latin music as daring and fascinating. The film industry continued to popularize Latin music with Desi Arnaz and his orchestra singing such songs as "Babalu" and "Cumbanchero". In 1940 he popularized the conga line dance.

Tito Puentes' contribution to Mambo is well-known, as are the contributions of Willy Colon and Celia Cruz. Cruz was recorded on Cuban radio at age 7 and made her first record in 1951. One lesser-known figure is Arsenio Rodriguez, one of the true fathers of Salsa. A blind drummer in Cuba, he began to evolve the Salsa sound from Mambo in the early 1960's.

People continually argue about the difference between Mambo and Salsa. Some say they are the same thing. Some say Salsa is something you eat! Some think Salsa is a generic label for all different types of Latin music. But if you listen to the early Mambo of Tito Puente, Machito, Beny More, Tito Rodriguez and the many greats who started playing before 1960, and then listen to some of the newer folks on the block, you'll find a distinction there easily enough. As to whether to move the body or feet on the first or second beat,

My mother said while putting me basket and running to a river and putting the basket to drift in the shallow River. When I first opened my eyes, I only saw My mother waving goodbye as I drifted off. I yelled "Ma! Pa!" It was too late they left me as I left, I spent a week in that little basket on the water a day after a couple found me and said "Una Nina en el agua!" They rushed to rescue me, I was cold , sick and confused. They wrapped me in a blanket and took me home. Magnanimous
Liva Neca is a very generous and forgiving person. It is rather challenging for this yellow jewel to hold a grudge. Even if she wanted to, it wouldn't last more than a few minutes because she eventually forgot about it or gave up. It's rather a thing about herself that she dislikes. She will truly show kindness to her rivals or someone less powerful than herself. Not out of pity, but when that jewel mane dragon truly needs it at the time.
    Majestic & Aristocratic
Even though Liva Neca can be quite rowdy around friends and family, but that is mainly just too show everybody a good time and a bright smile. She certainly does have manners and knows how to act like a lady. SHe only really acts like that when she has company over her house or their is someone she would like to impress. An the first impression is always the one that determines your whole relationship with that person. So, Liva Neca must maintain good manners.
    Optimistic
Liva Neca is a very generally happy girl. She is always running around with a great big smile on her face, even if the things she hates surround her. Such as bullies, rumors, and gossip. The bright colored JMD tries her best to keep her mind off of negative emotions , and instead keep track of the positive ones! No one is in control of her emotions other than herself. She is the boss of her emotions and her emotions are certainly not ordering her around.
    Romantic
Surprisingly, Liva Neca is quite the romantic. She easily comes up with cute, lovey-dovey things when it comes to valentines day. Liva Neca could come up with poetry or a love story plot with the snap of a whip. And she tends to flirt from time to time with people she is close to or have a crush on. Without any sort of embarrassment.
    Loyal
This yellow jewel is very and I mean very loyal. If anyone dares to say this girl has ever abandoned a friend in need or just a friend in general, that would be a downright lie. Liva Neca would risk her life in exchange of a loved one. She wouldn't give a second thought about it or wonder what would happen after she dies. It is necessary to keep your loved ones close to you and safe and at all times. Well at least that's her point of view of the situation.
    Arrogant & Boastfulness
Liva Neca takes joy in bragging about her bravery in adventures and how many great adventures she has taken with her friends. She constantly mentions them, so she can earn some admiration or respect from others. This yellow jewel quite enjoys admiration from others, despite how many hate getting attention nowadays.
    Impatient
The brightly colored jewel mane dragon is rather impatient girl. It's not good to make a girl like Liva Neca to wait for long. She will mostly not even still be there and either went to do the activity by herself or decided to do something else. Liva Neca uses the latter when he friends tell her to wait when she suggests a adventure.

Liva Neca's parents were storytellers. Especially her mother. Before then, Liva Neca's name was Lin. Her mother told stories of a brave and grand adventurer named Liva Neca. And Liva Neca was stealthy, sneaky, and brave. The adventurer was scared of a single thing and she got through every obstacle her adventures threw at her. But, nobody could be that magnificent. The grand adventurer is only fictional. Lin's mother would tell another new addition to Liva Neca's tale every night and Lin enjoyed every single story. Alas, he mother could never put a end to Liva Neca's story. Lin's mother fell sick with cancer while Lin was in middle school. Lin visited her sick mother every day after school and would talk to her and share stories of what happened at school, etc. Lin tried her best to stay positive, to make sure her mother would stay happy. She couldn't be sobbing about her mother was probably going to die. No, that would be selfish. One day, Lin went over to her friend's house instead going to visit her mother first for a change. It would just be for a little while. THen she would go to the hospital as soon as she was done. Around 5:00 PM Lin set off towards the hospital. Once she arrived, she found her father sobbing over her mother's body. She pushed through the discussing doctors, and asked her father what happened. Her father managed to choke through his sobs and say, "She's gone." The yellow jewel refused to believe him. "No. No. She can't be gone. Mom is still here, right mom?" Lin said in denial, as she stroked her mother's hand. It was cold. Not at all warm like it was the day before. "Come on Mom, this isn't funny. J-just.. w-wake..." Lin lost it. Tears that never came when she little arrived all at this moment. Lin cried for so long and hard. It was like she was unable to stop. Her mother was gone. Dead. And it was all her fault. She put herself in front of her own mother and decided to hang out with her friend instead of being with her mom during her last few breaths. Lin was truly selfish. She was disgusted and ashamed of herself. And that day, Lin decided to turn over a new leaf.
She was no longer Selfish Lin. She was the brave Liva Neca, the grandest adventurer of them all. Might as well finish the story.

The legendary figure? For a man of such legendary stature, the name is one that is strangely little-known beyond the Spanish-speaking world. Yet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, who lived just 34 short years from 1836 until his early death in 1970, is credited with approaching Spain’s traditional poetry and lyrical themes in a “modern” way and is considered by many to be the founder of modern Spanish lyricism. Bécquer is widely regarded as Spain’s first modern poet. He is also considered to be a precursor in the modernist movement, as his unique style helped revolutionize current views of literature.
Like many artistic geniuses, especially those who die so young, Bécquer remained in relative obscurity throughout his short life and though his collection of short stories, Leyendas, was published during his lifetime between 1857-64, the collection of poems in Rimas was published posthumously in 1871. It is these two works, however, which steadily gained critical recognition and raised the artist to his present status.
In his own life, he was oppressed by poverty and recurrent bouts of ill-health (he was constantly wracked by tuberculosis, the disease that eventually killed him), so part of him took refuge from this unpleasant reality in the legends and folk-stories of romantic Spain. His imagination was vivid, and frequently took on a sense of the morbid through his intense feelings for the past. His dominant themes are idealism, love, spirituality, and the supernatural, yet he handles them in a distinctly understated style, which marks him out from the altogether more florid and opulent use of emotion by his contemporary Spanish romantics.
The supernatural and the fantastic had an intense fascination for Bécquer, but without the pretentiousness or pose in his reversion to things medieval.
