But couples who have had two have to wait a while while they decide the final limit

What if JBDs become mates but it wasn't made public for a while and therefore there's no record of the actual date? Would the parents' owner(s) just have to wait longer?

This is just a hypothetical question, I don't have any JBDs of my own yet but I would like to know for when I do. ^^
