So, first adoptable as a (I assume) temporary artist for the R.A.W. I wanna keep this guy so bad you don't even know ;3; Some quick info on him:
+He's loosely based off a red wolf.
+On his left forepaw he's missing a toe; if you win him, you can decide how he lost it. (This can be part of his history)
+On his hind legs there are gears that have replaced his joints. These allow him full movement of his legs that he didn't have before. (onset of arthritis in his hind legs)

Name: Crux
Gender: Male
Age: 12 years
Personality: Independent. Exalts his new intelligence. Loaths humans because of their greed. Quiet but with a loud mind. Bitter. Cruel sense of humor. Uncaring of others. Detached. Cold. Prefers being alone. Easily irritated. Indifferent. Realist. Strategic. Logical. Tough. Unbreakable. Insensitive due to past. Lacks social skills. Curious.
History or other Short Story: Humans. They are greedy, egotistic beings that spend their entire life clawing their way to the spotlight. They love to show off their pointless items and brag about every little thing that they own. Not just that, they brag about the living things they 'own.' I think this is why my human bought me from the very beginning. He wanted to have something better than what everyone else had. Most people had small dogs, but he wanted something bigger and better; so he got me.
I was born in a specialty breeding kennel and spent the first couple years of my life being professionally trained. I knew every command these simple-minded humans could think of. I was a 'superior' and 'high quality' sale. My human eagerly paid high dollar after hearing that. He was a bachelor and lived in the finest neighborhood in the most elegant home. Everything he owned had to be the absolute finest. At first I ended up being his most prized possession and like possessions I was never given a name. I was taken to every event he went to and was shown off to everyone who would listen but at each social gathering I was dubbed a different 'name.' I was whatever he wanted me to be at the time. Sometimes I would be given powerful names like Thor or Czar around business men. Other times I would be given pathetic names like Mr. Wiggums or Sir Spot around the ladies. Also like possessions, I began to be forgotten. Years went by of me lying in my custom kennel. I was alone. Sometimes when he came out to feed me he would be crying. He was alone. What these silly humans don't get is that fancy possessions won't make you happy and while he was wasting his life away with his petty riches I was growing older and older in my kennel. Arthritis began to eat away at my back legs. I became slow and feeble. I was not the beautiful wolf I once was. To him I was nothing now so he gave me to the R.A.W. research. Maybe he wanted to say his old pet helped pave the pathway of robotic wolf companions? What's cooler than a robot pet? It gave him one last reason to brag about me.
From that point on I was under the knife. Gears were warped into my hind legs curing my arthritis. My front legs were reinforced with metals to prevent the wear and tear of age. Metal spikes were embedded into my shoulders and haunches I guess to look cool. A leading computer company known as Crux Industries paid to implant their computer software into my body, hence my name. They embedded the software system into my chest and placed a metal breastplate with their company logo as the software cover. Wiring was inserted all throughout my body to transmit the software signal to every point in my new and improved form. With my new body I was faster, stronger, and more intelligent than I had been even in my youth. The software also allowed me to speak English. Not only that, but Crux Industries paid to have another program installed into my. Every time I heard the word 'Crux' I was programmed to state the Crux Industries slogan: "The power to create." I was a walking advertisement for a man-made business. It was sickening. I was now a living ad instead of a professionally trained wolf.
After a time the implants stopped not just for me but for every experiment. All of the kennels were emptied at the labs. I was taken from the surgery rooms and loaded onto a giant ship along with all of the other R.A.W. experiments. Every experiment and scientist was present on the ship. I knew something major was happening. We all knew. We were no longer dull animals that didn't know we were being herded to our doom. Each and every one of us knew we were about to be discarded somewhere in endless space. We all became anxious. I accepted it.
It's funny how life is sometimes. Our voyage was interrupted for the better when our ship crashed into an unknown planet just outside the Milky Way. I guess I should restate: 'it was for the better for me.' I was somehow sparred from the initial impact, but as I crawled out of the wreckage bodies of my brethren littered the jungle floor. I couldn't tell if some piles of burning metal came from bodies or from the ship itself. I could not mistake the smell of burning fur and the crisp popping of bones though. Fur and metal painted the thick foliage of this new planet and dying shrieks filled the atmosphere. Chaos is what it was. I was reborn in chaos. I stumbled away from the wails and ruin only to trip over a chunk of metal shortly after. I was no longer looking at the wreckage. My paws were before me and a bloody numb was all that remained of one of my toes. My weary lips pulled back in a wicked grin. Lying amongst the dying I knew this was the happiest day of my life.

4 Facts about R.A.W: 1) They reboot at random and it can take a couple hours so they just lay there motionless and stuff. Kind of like my old computer. 2) The scientist from the journal is nicknamed Jedi like from STAR WARS. Maybe I'm a geek though and it's not Star Wars inspired. 3) While traveling through space via high tech space craft the scientists and the R.A.W.'s crash land on a life sustaining planet. This is probably good for the R.A.W.'s since they were going to be abandoned/eliminated. 4) From experiment number eleven on each R.A.W. had a microchip implanted into their robo-bodies.
BONUS QUESTION: What was my inspiration for the metal spikes on his shoulders and haunches? I first thought of murlocs from World of Warcraft or the Elite Hunters from Halo. Then maybe a lionfish or one of the animals from Avatar. Or maybe you're just so talented you didn't need inspiration and this is just a trick question.
EDIT: Cleaned up the history some. I apologize about the small personality. I normal just give the basics and let roleplays determine how he acts before I expand it.
EDITx2: Put some art for him down. c:
