» JMD name
Delyth. It means pretty in Welsh. She is called Del sometimes.
» JMD's favorite Holiday from Nov.- Jan.
Obviously, Christmas! She loves to give and celebrate it for the true reason, the birth of Christ. Plus, she's a Christmas-themed JMD, so why wouldn't she like it? She loves the smells, sights and sounds too. Especially having warm, marshmallow-filled hot chocolate after spending time in the snow.
» Reason she/he has a pinecone necklace
She has this pinecone necklace because one day she was taking a stroll through the woods. She came across a wolf, flailing helplessly in a trap. Delyth immediately rushed to help, and freed its leg from the bear trap. The wolf thanked her, and after that they became friends and went on with the walk. They found that they had a lot in common. Delyth, knowing that it was close to Christmas, thought of what to get him as a gift. Everyday, Delyth would go out to see the wolf, and they would hang out with each other for a little while. Delyth stumbled upon something, on one of their walks. It was a mini pinecone, jabbed lightly into her pad. The wolf went to her aid, and took it out very gently. But then, just as he did, shots rang out, and humans hollered. The wolf didn't even had time to say goodbye. He had to leap away as the humans came over the hill. Delyth hid, and then ran home. Afterwards, she didn't seem to find a trace of the wolf again. So, on Christmas day, she went out into the snow, to remember him. As she did, she began to go to last place that she had seen him. As she stopped there, at that place where the pinecone had been pulled from her foot, she saw something. A necklace, with that same pinecone, laying in the snow. Delyth picked it up and nuzzled it onto her neck. A faint scent of the wolf drifted on the air. So, that is how she received her necklace.
» What does she use her powers for
Delyth uses her light for reading at night, so she won't have to read in the dark. She also uses it for when there is darkness and she needs to see. Whenever she needs light basically, she uses it.
» Personality
Delyth is very kind, sweet and caring, and she can't stand seeing others in trouble. Which makes her very helpful. She likes to be there to help you do whatever, just as long as you give her approval. She doesn't try to help if you don't want her too. Del is good listener, and she is very trustworthy. If you give her a secret, she could keep it forever. She is quite supportive, too, and she doesn't judge anyone. She knows that they have their own opinions, and she can't change that. She respects herself and others. Del is patient, as she can wait for long periods of time. She might get restless on the inside, but on the outside, she doesn't show it. Del likes to get down to work, and finish things quickly. She thinks it's good to get through things quickly. That's why she usually has a lot of time on her hands/paws. She can be a little bit stubborn, if she wants to be. But, she usually obeys. Delyth is quite determinded, and protective. She could fight, if she wanted too. Del is one to stay quiet, and just think quietly to herself.
» A story about her entire day on her favorite holiday
Delyth cracked open an eye slowly. Her sleep was holding her down, making her mind swim. Then she remembered. It was Christmas! Her heart fluttered in her chest as she jumped up, and ran down the hallway. Well, more like stumbled. She skidded to a halt right before the tree, glancing at the presents overflowing from the base of it. She felt the urge to tear through and find her gifts.
But, she would have to wait until everyone else awakened. It was still dark outside, and the moon was slipping downward. It was about five, which was a normal time for Del to wake up. She couldn't open presents until seven. Del's eyes landed on her stocking. She bounded toward it and took it down, placing it on the floor. The Jewel Mane Dragon used her light to see what she had gotten. At least she was allowed to go through her stocking.
-----
Del was prodded in her side by someone. She blinked open her eyes and raised her head. She has fallen asleep, curled up around her stocking. "Wake up Delyth. It's almost time to open presents," a husky voice growled. You're obviously not in a Christmas mood. Delyth thought, her eyes rasing to the mutated wolf. "Okay, Sakima," was all she replied, before getting onto her paws.
Bubbles bounded around the room, squealing. She bounced over to Del and smiled up at her. "It's Christmas!" the pup shouted, and bounced on her toes to swat the pinecone necklace Delyth wore.
Delyth grinned but stepped back, as if afraid that it might come off. Bubbles just giggled and she saw Carmen at the other side of the room. Instantly, she jumped over to her. Delyth watched her go, and looked at Salali and Minttu. They were talking to each other, sipping hot chocolate.
Del looked at the tree, and sat down. She stared at it and zoned out, and then she realized she must've missed something, because everyone else was digging through the presents, grabbing their own. Delyth got up and joined in, and soon she found a box near the back marked with "Delyth" on the tag. The wrapping paper was filled with Santa heads, with pink cheeks and big smiles. She pulled it out with a smile.
She went away from the tree, into her own little area. Others had already started to remove the wrapping, so Del did the same. She opened it, and saw simple, brown box. Must be something inside of it. She knew, and opened it up. Others were already snuggling what they had received. Delyth opened the box, and saw something fabric-like. She ran her paw-pad over it, feeling the softness. Delyth pulled it out slowly.
She lay it on the ground, and smiled. A scarf, red and white. She drapped it over her shoulders and wrapped it around her neck, as best as she could. A sharp, excited yip made her head whirl around. Bubbles was bouncing up and down again, hanging over a gaint squeaky toy. It was as big as the little puppy. Sakima groaned loudly as soon as she started to bite it and jump around on it. "We'll never hear the end of it!" Sakima muttered under his breath.
Del just smiled and shook her head with a sigh as Bubbles squeaked her toy. Happy, as always... She thought, a smile still on her face. The JMD lay down, and closed her eyes.
-----
"Why do you have to keep on falling alseep?!" Someone huffed, and suddenly jumped onto Delyth. Del puffed and rolled from under her attacker. Sakima stared down at her, eyes narrowed. "It's already time for dinner," he told her and then whisked away.
Delyth's eyes widened. How did she miss that much? With an inward groan, she arose. The scraf and necklace were still there, which made her happy. But she was saddened that she had missed so much. The dinner was already placed out, and others were already eating away.
Del rushed over and got her own plate, and then she went to sit beside Carmen. She ate everything on her plate, and then it was time for desert. An apple pie, with whipped cream and cinnamon on top. She ate that happily, making sure she didn't get anything on her scarf.
After, she went to go sit on the couch, stuffed with food. But Bubbles ended up right beside her, urging her outside. Reluctantly, but not showing it, she followed. They spent their time in the snow, and Delyth realized that the scarf around her neck made her fell warmer, definitely. Well... Just her neck.
