Prisma
I have chosen the name Prisma for this bean, because of the cute little necklace around her neck. As soon a I saw her I wanted her. So when I looked at her, a name flickered into my mind. Prism. Of coarse, it didn't click for me. All I had to do was add an "a", and there we have it. Prisma.

gender;;
Female

Which color(s) is she not able to see;;
Prisma is completly color-blind, she can only see colors in black and white.

How does she deal with her vision defect?;;
Prisma deals well with not being able to see in color. Being born this way, she was quite used to it. When she was born, her mother and father had thought that she was in fact NOT color blind.She had not known somthing was wrong until she started learning about colors. Her mother had given her a small prism on a necklace, to help her learn better. All she would say was "No, it is only white mother..." The more she said it the more Prisa's mother became concerned. Yes, Prisma was in fact colorblind! She does not care about what other dragons think of her, she is who she is, and she is proud. She is Prisma.

name;; Destiney (It is pronouced Des-ti-nay)

gender;; Female

Which color(s) is she not able to see;; Destiney can really only see Grays,Blacks,and Whites. So she can't really see color at all.

How does she deal with her vision defect?;; Destiney actually copes really well being color blind. She likes it. She can imagine a world of her own. Destiney likes to imagine colors and see the world her own way. Of course the colors are never right. But, it really doesn't bother her. She can't really explain to you how she does it. She's been thinking if the Crystal on her necklace is helping her vision but shes not completely sure.

which color(s) is she not able to see?;;

She is not able to see any colors other than grayscale.

how does she deal with her vision defect?;;

Well, she is a very bipolar bean, so one minute, she can be rocking out to heavy metal (her favorite music), and the next be all moody and depressed about her lack of color vision. She never wears any items because she has no idea how they will look, and that can make her very sad at times. She is very fierce about her disability, and will snap very harshly at anyone who asks. She seems all 'bad girl' on the outside, but inside, she is very insecure, but loyal to the end to her friends. Most have learned not to ask her about colors.
She also takes inspiration from the author Christopher Paolini, who, though colorblind, was able to write the Inheritance Cycle. She strives to be a great songwriter. She has started a band called Monochromatica, and writes their songs and plays guitar.

    Every color excluding Black and White also known as monochromacy.
How does she deal with her vision defect?;;
    I couldn't care less, why would see all happy pixie colors?
    A lot of people have sympathy and are all like 'I feel so sorry for you!'
    And in my head I'm just like 'Shut up'.
    Yeah, I can't see the colors of the rainbow, so what?
    Black and white are of the rainbow therefore they are more special.

name;;
Scarlett

gender;;
Female

Which color(s) is she not able to see;;
Scarlett has a special type of colorblindness called Monochromacy. This means that she can only see in black and white, like an old silent movie. Of course, just like any other type of colorblindness that is had from birth, Scarlett doesn't know any different. She can still see any color, but she just sees it in black and white. Black and white are the colors easiest for her to see, so most of the time, she's rather read a book than a magazine. I chose this type of colorblindness because I have a friend with this condition, and I know a lot about it. It doesn't really affect her much, somethings are just harder to see than others. Scarlett has always had this condition, and she sometimes wonders what the world looks like through the eyes of others.

How does she deal with her vision defect?;;
Scarlett handles it well; most know her for years without knowing about it. Her necklace helps her cope, for she knows of it's unseen beauty. Her necklace remains her favorite and only accessory, she will wear nothing else. She will sit for hours, just imagining what other people see, she says she always wonders what "normal people see", but I simply tell her that it's a good thing to be unique. She sometimes has dreams in which she claims to see the world differently, and I think that is her brain letting her see the world in color, and she says it's beautiful. Everything is so bright and cheerful, full of wonder she has never truly laid her eyes on, and the one object that reoccurs in every dream is her necklace. She marvels at it's beauty in her dreams and when she wakes up, she finds herself clutching her prized possession, and simply smiles.

Scarlett loves reading books, I think that's also how she deals with it, for that's the easiest thing for her to see. she will read for hours, sometimes staying up all night, hunkered under the candlelight, reading about a couple caught up in a romantic love story, or a desperate man looking for the answer to a nail-biting mystery. She told me her favorite books are those of the Millennium Trilogy, The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest. When Scarlett reads about Lisbeth Salander, she sees herself, because, like the character, she too has a photographic memory and poor social skills. She has been thinking about starting to right, and I think she would really enjoy it; I also think that it will improve her grammar and spelling.

Although Scarlett loves to read, she also enjoys drawing, and a lot of times, her art is about her view on the world or what she reads about in her favorite books. Her favorite art mediums are charcoal and watercolor, but she generally only uses black on white paper. She likes others to be able to see what her world looks like, the one she sees through her eyes. She loves how she can blend with the charcoals, changing the shades of the black into beautiful hues of grey. Scarlett likes the looseness of the watercolors, how the lines are so free, like her when she's reading. She has an entire sketchbook of her drawings, and the ones she keeps to herself are those that she has drawn in the light of dreams she has had. They are very private, and only sometimes lets me see them.
