Owner Name:
foreign.potato
Name:
Atlantis.
I feel like this name really fits him because he is so similar to how the mythical Atlantis is supposed to be like. Technologically advanced but with antique looking parts. He has that old brassy look to him with the large metal wires, but also with that unique blue glow that Disney's Atlantis movie is famous for.
Gender:
Male.
Personality:
Atlantis is a very unique little Rune. It's hard to describe him vaguely, but if there were one word that would describe him it would be trouble. He is still young, not too mature, and has much to learn. His curiosity is a hefty factor, it seeps out of him. He wants to go see what made that noise, why that thing is moving, what make this float and that sink, what that fish is fleeing from - he can be considered a little hyper-active. He wants to learn, to understand, to know. And sometimes when he tries to achieve this knowledge, he can wedge himself into some bad situations. Often times he has to be rescued by the humans he works for, other times he ends up doing something that can't be fixed and he learns a harsh lesson. Biting eels short circuits him. Shooting lazer beams from his eyes kill things that breathe - or severs parts of their systems. Walking out on land is not what he was built physically for. While working on the boats and docks - his attention must be directed back to his work every-so-often. And occasionally, if he is feeling naughty enough, he will stir up some trouble to screw with his work mates. He especially likes to mess with this one girl that cares for him - some times intentionally splashing her, shooting lazers near her, and bringing sea creatures up that make her nervous. It intrigues him to see what makes her tick and what makes her passionate - starting up on another huge part of him. He is very intelligent, quite witty, and a remarkable creature.
Atlantis is made of mechanical parts, of electronics. And maybe a little some thing out-of-the-ordinary that no one can really explain. He is aware that he is not technically living. But he still feels emotion (slightly dull compared to the capacity humans are able to hold), has a personality, and thrives in his own way. But at the same time, he is a robot. He doesn't breathe, he doesn't need to eat, he doesn't have the needs or the fragility of living things. If he dies, or breaks, he gets some new parts and is fixed up. And he can't get sick. He watches living things and see how if they loose a fin or limb, they most likely will die. Some die seemingly at random. He is absolutely and totally fascinated with living creatures. Some times, he is really envious of them. He sees them create bonds and breathe and move so different than he, and he wishes he could share it with them. He loves to just watch them, to mimic their behaviors, especially humans. He also occasionally sees other Rune Dragons. His father especially enthralls him because he is living, he breathes and has bones and can die and gets sick. His fascination is not one that can easily be described, it's just a part of his being and his personality.
A factor coming off of him not being totally living is that he is, much of the time, alone. He has a hard time connecting, knowing how to bond, what is "socially acceptable" to that living being, is quite misunderstood and unknown, and he almost never come in contact with another Rune of his kind. Atlantis is stuck with himself and not much else and often he feels lost.
Working at the docks has also given him some handy traits. He grew up learning and mastering his skills and very luckily, for good. He knows how to weld very well, how to aid humans in undersea missions, and to fetch needed thing in the water. This gave him persistence, willingness to work, he is hard working, and knows how to be a useful creature when in other places in his life he feels lost.

Why do you wish to have him/her:
I've been looking for a Rune Dragon that really appeals to me for a while and only have come across one other that I was able to try out for, but I wasn't able to win. When I was scrolling through the main adoptable page and saw him under the "up for adoption" category - I was like KJAKGJALKGJAH MUST HAVE. I promised myself to at least try for him, now there's only a few hours, so I am going to try to scrape up as much of a form I can with such limited time. I have been searching for my first perfect Rune Dragon and I am really excited to see him. He is amazing and perfect and gosh, he is so great. <3 A wonderful idea and he is just so unique. I can't wait to start developing him, personality, stories, art - especially art. He has so many great possibilities for making all types of art media with him. Plus, I love the stories of the city of Atlantis and he just speaks it to me, giving me even more fuel to wish to call him my own.
I don't think I have even made a form in such tight time limited with so much desperation to try to be in the running. <3
I really really like him, he is only my second Rune Dragon I have gone for and my first if I get him and I am totally in love with him. <3 He is one of my all-time favorite Rune Dragons and absolutely perfect at that.
Where will you keep him/her:
I have a much-loved character thread in my signature, this will take you to all of my very loved and updated characters, and it is defiantly where he will be staying. He is honestly so gorgeous and inspires me greatly. <3 In that character thread I will update him with personality, stories, likes/dislikes, and more. That site is a great for thoroughly describing your characters. Also, I like to switch out art of my characters into my signature and I'm sure he will end up there, too.
Would you like to breed him/her in the future:
Yes, I would like to breed him - but I might be a little picky. c:
Any Quirks:
He has a knack for biting onto squishy things. Things that wont break under his metallic jaws, but more like a rubbery substance that gives an appealing and long-lasting squish, like a rubber band or eraser. Anemones are an all time favorite - their shocks also give him more pleasure in chewing on them, making his energy boost momentarily.
He also longs to go on land. His work consists mostly of being in water and he was built for aquatic needs - but where he really wants to be exploring is land. His build doesn't fit land; moving around and the pull of gravity does not suit him well at all. He can hardly move and after awhile he dries up and his joints become stiff and stuck. But his longing for land sometimes overwhelms him, to explore more of the unknown and meet the other creatures and to be where the humans mostly go.
Other:
Quick horrible sketch. <3 I'll try to whip up some more if I can find the time. ouo;

by me
I did decently with the lack of time, I'm kinda happy with myself with what I have given. x3
Good luck all!
