Name meaning: The poinsettia is a flower that has a strong association with the Christmas season, so I thought it was fitting.

Size: Poinsettia is rather petite and is around the size of a young Samoyed.
Accesories? Yes, her holly sprigs.
Why did she choose holly? The reason why Poinsettia always wears holly is because there were a fair share of Holly trees right near where she lived in Manitoba, and she loved the contrast of the green, red, and white of the holly trees and snow. She also thought they went well with her fur, so she decided that they would make a good accessory.
Personality:Warm- Settia is a really warm and welcoming JBD, much like this season is. She is always happy to see friendly faces, and is eager to become their friend. She often picks up "strays" and finds them a place in her heart.
Impulsive- A negative trait here. Poinsettia is very impulsive. She will often do what her mind tells her without a second thought. This gets her in trouble quite a lot. From walking across a half-frozen lake because she thought it looked "fun", to kissing someone she barely knew, this trait stretches far and wide across everything she does.
Honest- Settia may be honest in part because she is so impulsive, but it is also because she is so nice. It is very hard for her to tell a lie, and it hurts her every time she does. She hates not telling the truth, and dislikes beans who don't tell the truth.
Flirty- This is both a good and bad trait. She enjoys making the male beans blush more often than not. She knows she's pretty, and often uses that to her advantage.

History: Settia grew up in cold weather, in a place called Canada. More specifically, she lived in Manitoba, near Hudson Bay. The land there is sparse, and not as many plants grow there as in a warmer climate. Her family owned a flower shop, and as a little bean, she became infatuated with the life the little plants in the shop held. She grew up loving flowers, which is why as an older bean she took on the family business and is a florist.

what you are planning for her: Hmm... well, I want to be very active with her on the fan-club, and give her lots of friends. I'm also planning on making her lots and lots of artwork, and ordering artwork of her as well. I plan to induct her into my family of adopts, and draw art of them all together as well. Eventually, I would like her to have a love interest, and have beans of her own to give to others so that they have a chance of gaining a JBD for themselves.
I'd also like to see who she gets shipped with, or which multiple male beans others pair her up with in their heads, because it's so funny!why you want her: I want this JBD because she represents one of my favorite holidays. She also looks very friendly, which reminds me of how you spend time with those you love at this time of year. On top of all that, she reminds me of a white Christmas, along with baking cookies with my friends and family. She just has the "feel" of this season, and it is heartwarming to me. She would remind me of this season all year long.
I just noticed she reminds me of Hot Chocolate...Another thing is that when the others are RPing on the JBD fan-club, I just have to watch them, since I have no JBD to RP with. If I got this girl, I would have a reason to stay in on the conversation.

Her Namesake
Poinsettia’s parents named her after what they thought was the prettiest Christmas flower of all. With its red leaves brightening up the holiday, it seemed to fit, since Poinsettia brightened up the lives of the two parent beans that Christmas as well. The two beans owned a flower shop, and thought it normal to name their beautiful Christmas daughter after a beautiful Christmas flower. As Poinsettia grew, she continued to love the plants constantly around her.
One day, Poinsettia came home from school, upset. Someone didn't like her name. She wanted to know why her mother had named her with such an awful name with no meaning she knew. Her mother bean sighed and took Settia into her arms and walked back into the Greenhouse. She carried her daughter to a beautiful red plant. “See this?” she asked her daughter softly.
“Yes,” Poinsettia responded, sniffing.
“This is Poinsettia,” her mother told her. “I named you after it because it’s the prettiest Christmas flower of all, besides you.”
Poinsettia beamed at her mother, sadness forgotten. She hugged her mother tightly and whispered a “thank you.” Her mother smiled softly before asking if the little bean wanted hot chocolate, to which Settia instantly agreed. Together they walked off to the kitchen, sadness forgotten and happiness in its place.
