I find it suits this little guy!"

Why do you wish to have him/her:
Oh gosh, there are so many things that drew me to this guy! For beginners he reminds me of myself a little. While I do have jobs I must do I like to have a little fun from time to time-even if it is mischievous. Not to mention he is a sea rune! And I practically spent my entire life near water and boats. My family jokes that I was swimming before I was crawling. Not to mention his colors are absolutely amazing! The areas where the blue fades into it is simply amazing! And he also looks like he is made from technology and like he would be really smart. Which technology happens to be something I love and I pride myself on being intelligent. I guess you could say there are a multitude of reasons I wish to have this little guy. I've just always wanted a rune but none ever struck so close to the heart as this little guy did! So I'm happy to be able to try out for him!
Where will you keep him/her:
This one? This one here? He goes in my sig and my character thread when I make it!
Would you like to breed him/her in the future:
That depends on whether or not I find one I would like to breed him with. Which I would hope I would, so yes I would like to breed him.
Personality:
Mischievous ||Loyal||Cunning||Fierce||Quiet||Helpful
Above are only a few traits one can use to describe Visstaart. He is a mischievous little thing, always ready to cause trouble at the worst of times. I've seen many get mad at him for it, but his loyalty always makes them turn it around. He would much rather be off doing his own things then listening to another. But he is still good at heart. This may be due to the fact that he has undying loyalty towards those who return it to him. He isn't one to be tricked into being loyal. If a person isn't loyal towards him, he isn't loyal towards them. Which I suppose is an admirable trait in itself. Not to mention the little thing is cunning as can be. He can trick someone into doing something or get out of a situation faster then anyone else can. He certainly is a little trickster if there ever was one. He is also fierce, often more willing to go on with an argument for days rather then back down and let the other creature take the win. More or less admirable, but in some cases it can be good. He won't back down from a fight, often resulting in the other creature backing down no matter the size of it. One thing most don't expect is his alarming quietness. He is a rune of few words, often keeping to himself rather then voicing nonsense like others have become accustom to doing. He is thoughtful in a sense, always thinking rather then telling. From his time spent working on ships to help repair them Visstaart has now become a very helpful Rune. When he isn't causing trouble he can be found helping out anyone who needs it without problem or question. He likes the feeling he gets when he has finished helping others. So all around is a mixture of both bad and good qualities. Some which cancel out others and make them almost nonexistent. But deep down he is good at the heart, a loyal companion to any person and one who will make you time worth it.
Any Quirks:
Visstaart has a way of putting himself into a situation just to get out of it. He also likes to mess with ships and sailors instead of helping to fix boats. He also doesn't like to sit still and when forced to often fidgets uncontrollably. He also has a tendency to seem to glow brighter when he is angry or ready to cause trouble, and to dim when he is calm. He also has a habit of trying to fly with the wings that don't allow it.
Story:
How I Met Visstaart
I sat aboard my father's boat, resting with a book in hand. The day was calm and peaceful. The sun shone through the sky, casting golden rays of sunlight all around. There were no clouds in the sky and the smell of pollen was making people sneeze. Spring had just begun and it was predicted this would be the only day of sunlight in the rainy season. I minded it more or less, on one hand I loved the rain, but on the other it was hard to sail in and put sailors in a bad mood. And anyone who knew a sailor knew they were no good in bad moods-ask anyone. I myself wasn't much of a sailor, more of a philosopher, often spending my days to make us more efficient in our work. My father wasn't fond of my tinkering, especially with all sorts of technology that I just had to have my hands on. I couldn't help it if he and I had gone done separate paths in life.
I was interrupted from my train of thought and book by a loud clunk. A metal pail had been knocked over by something. Curious as to what could have knocked down a pail-of which had been filled with food-I stood. I walked over towards the pail, bringing my book along for some foolish reason. How many had I dropped? Letting them fall over the side of the ship to their doom? I bent down and picked up the book, setting it upright. And what should be laying there? A stone. Large and heavy enough to knock over the pail for sure. I bent down, grasping it. It was wet. As if it had been in the water. But that was strange. Was there a child? Throwing rocks over the edge of the ship for fun? I suppose it was possible. I walked to the edge, resting my hands on the side and looking over. I couldn't see anything though the water below me was as clear as could be. But I just couldn't see anything! I leaned farther over, surveying the water. Had they foolishly gone under the ship? Attempting to hide from whatever crew may be aboard?
As I peered over another rock came flying up, knocking my book. "No!" I shrieked as it fell to its death below me. I reached for it but my efforts were hopeless. The book hit the water with a resounding splash. I slumped, completely deflated. I hadn't been done with it. I saw a lighter color of the water move before leaving. Almost as if the area had been glowing somehow. But that was ridiculous, things didn't glow in the water. That would take technology and it would have shorted out.
Later That Day
The day had come and gone and I had been moping over the loss of my book all day. While my father had been angry about the "ruined" food. Yet he still picked it back up and set it back in the kitchen right before my eyes. He had ordered that I mop the deck and do all the crew's chores for the night. He claimed he wanted the ship in tip top shape before leaving tomorrow morning. I sighed as I ran the mop back and forth over the deck of the ship, this was all useless. Why spend time catching fish? Why not try and do something better? Fix things! This ship could be a thousand times more productive if he let me fix it! I shook the thoughts away, there was no use. He was too hard-headed to ever let me do anything. From my right I heard another splash. This must have been the tenth one if the past five minutes. I began to storm over, fists clenching at my sides. "You drooling brats!" I shouted, slamming my hands on the side and looking over.
But what was there made me stop and rethink all I was prepared to say. This was no child, oh no certainly not. It was a Rune if you'd believe me. A real life Rune. Why, I had never dreamed I'd ever see one! As I peered closer I noticed something in its mouth. Something solid. Something square. A book? My book! I motioned for it to come up, but it wouldn't! No trouble! I'll go to it! I rushed from the ship's deck, running to the dock in record time. And surely enough it met me there, pulling itself from the water to meet me. I took the book from its hand, joy and happiness spreading through me. I couldn't believe it! My book! And a Rune! I pulled my book from its mouth, seeing that it seemed to be dry. I just didn't get how! But that didn't matter! I had it! I hugged the Rune. "Thank you!" I gasped, setting it back down and expecting it to go. But it stayed, sitting comfortably on the dock. Didn't Runes have owners? Maybe I could take the little guy. "I could help you know. We could repair ships and make them better. I hear you when you talk to yourself. I'm Visstaart." I looked at it in shock. Had it just spoken to me? I studied it for a moment. This was amazing, I had to admit that. And maybe it was right. Maybe it-I mean Visstaart-could help me. I smiled. For real. For the first time in a long time...
I smiled.
I Used to Fly
[Through the Eyes of Visstaart]
There used to be a time when I could open my wings, spread them wide and soar through the air without a care. I could fly with the other Runes and play their games. But I don't do that so much anymore. I miss it a lot. I'm not really bothered by the fact that I can't. But more by the fact of how it happened.
It was a cold day, the air was frosty and all the humans were bundled up tightly unlike myself. I could see parts of ships freezing and cracking, meaning I was much busier today. I was jumping from place to place, fixing up things as they tried to get out of the port. As I finished with one ship I heard calls for help from another. Looking over I noticed that the ship had just received a large crack in the side from the cold. And it seemed the cut was under the water. Oh dear...
Turning I dove into the water. Instantly it hit me like a blast of cold air, I felt frozen. Of course I wasn't, I was still moving. There may as well have been ice covering me up. I slid through the water, using my wings to glide through the chilly waters. As I reached the boat I assessed the damage. There was a large crack running about five feet from just out the water further down into the icy depth. Well, time to work. I decided it would be best to work from the bottom, stopping more water from pouring in. Even from down here I could hear people screaming for help and to get the leak stopped. I let the beams leave my eyes, welding the ship back together. Due to the cold water the process was going much slower, forcing me to remain in the water for longer. Things went slow but finally I was done, the crack was no longer. The person on the deck gave me a questioning heads up and I nodded. The crack was fixed. I spread my wings and left the water. The cold air hit hard and I forced my way to the ship. As I was reaching the edge it seemed like I stopped. Suddenly I was falling, hurling towards the deck of the ship. I hit it hard, wings first.
I don't remember what happened the rest of that day. I had frozen from the cold, luckily they were able to save me. But my wings, well I don't know. They just don't have enough power to move me anymore, I can't fly. I'm stuck on land and water. I suppose I've grown used to it. But I miss being able to fly sometimes, being able to get to the deck of ships. I've learned to build up more power though, now to the point where I can get at least ten feet above the water's surface. Sometimes it isn't as easy though... I'll learn to live with it.

I know not of a tall tale
But rather a truth
Awaiting its turn to be told
Awaiting its chance at flight
I've seen it with my own eyes
Yet am blinded
The brilliance of its purpose
Has taken me away
I've heard it only once
Yet am deaf
The beauty of this creature
Has taken me away
I've felt it only once
Yet am touchless
The braveness of this creature
Has taken me away
I know not of a tall tale
But rather a truth
Awaiting its turn to be told
Awaiting its chance at flight

Why do you wish to have him?
When I first saw him and read his description my first thought was; “If my brother still had loved dragons like he used to; he would have loved this one.”
So this little Rune somehow reminds me of my brother and the love he has for both ships from older ages and his past love for mythical creatures. However, as I looked more closely upon this little fellow and his markings on the wings… I too could see things related to myself in his characteristics. I might have a huge phobia for water; but I still love it at the same time (it’s hard to explain… Water is beautiful but at the same time dangerous at some times… I both hate it because I’m afraid of it yet at the same time I love it because it fascinates me…). The oceans and seas that are filled with lives; animals and mysteries that amazes me. I love the things I don’t know about it, because I want to know everything about it; yet at the same time it scares me, because I know that water can kill. I love its many faces that it shows the world, feelings that changes in a question of seconds and some times, very much like my own. I believe it’s simply similar to me in many ways, yet at the same time different as well. This Rune simply reminds me of all that.
Not to mention that his markings also reminds me of Atlantis. I’m also into mythology quite much and I’ve a habit of researching legends and myths that interests me. Atlantis is one of those. And I suspect that many has seen Disney’s version of Atlantis; the symbols they used in that movie reminds me of his markings. As well as his characteristics reminds me of creatures we humans only speak of in our old legends about the oceans and seas.
I’d say that’s why I came to like him as much as I do; first because of my brother and later because of me.
Personality
| Mischievous | Impulsive | Brave | Curious | Motivated | Quiet | Mysterious |
Nagazdiel is a very curious little lad. He’s very fascinated of the devices and other things humans creates, so it’s not uncommon to find him sitting in the shadows somewhere and observing what humans use their odd devices and other things for. Other than that he’s also the kind of lads who immediately goes on small “adventure trips” as soon as he visits a new place. Like many others, he enjoys seeing new places.
Even though he’s not exactly the one who helps those who asks for help, he has a habit of helping those that he thinks deserves it. So it’s no use to come to him to ask him for help and expect a huge smile saying “Of course, I’ll help you in any way I can!”. He will come to you if he deems you worthy of his help. However, once he has tasked himself with helping someone and gives his all to reach the goal he sets up for himself; nothing can stop him. Everyone likes to do a good job and make someone happy, that’s why he motivates himself more than what most would do. He likes to make a good impression on those he helps; one could say that he wants other to deem him as a little gentleman in one way or another. As soon as he puts it all into a task at hand he’ll stop for nothing until he has completed it. That’s how motivated he is; quitting is never an option.
He sees himself as a very brave little lad. After all, the young lads who believe in themselves often take for granted that they’re brave if they dare to do things others wouldn’t even think about doing. There are very few things in this world that actually scares him, maybe because he likes most things in this world and deem them as interesting. He’s not afraid of being the little goofball that sneaks around the docks all day, he’s not afraid of being himself at all times. In his opinion that’s the same as being brave.
Nagazdiel has a habit of acting before he thinks things through. Maybe it is like that because he’s still a child or maybe it’s just the way he is; it’s hard to tell since he’s such a young little lad. He’s impulsive and seems to not be able to bear with the part of thinking about what may happen if he does certain things. It’s not until after he has acted that he stops to realize either his mistakes or if whatever he did was good. He enjoys putting the fishermen through trouble in the morning by playing jokes with their ships by moving or changing things when they don’t notice it. Though, in truth he doesn’t act as that because he’s mean; he just wants to have some fun with humans because he likes them. He has never intended to do them any harm or by making them angry on purpose. Troubling them with his mischievous ways it just his way of playing because he’s not too fond of playing “normal” games with neither humans or other Runes.
He’s not the most talk-active lad at first sight, you would probably deem him as the quiet little lad sitting in the shadows and watching the world with a curious gaze. The reason to why he’s such a quiet lad most of the times is because he prefers speaking with those he has interest in speaking to. Unfortunately there are quite few who catch his interest enough to make him speak. Surely most can make him laugh or smile at any time when he’s causing troubles for others; but making him speak is on a whole different level. If he’s not interested in speaking with you he tends to just sit and watch you from afar; after all, he’s still curious about what you’re up to but not curious enough to start speaking.
Some would probably see him as quite the mysterious little fellow, or maybe even as a loner (depending on how you see it). The reason to that is mainly because he rarely lets anyone know exactly what he likes the most in the world, what he prefers over other things, etc. He simply doesn’t let just anyone know exactly who he is, because he has sides of himself that he prefers keeping to himself. That’s mainly because he deems some parts of himself as “bad”, as far as he’s aware other Mecha Sea Runes isn’t like him at all when it comes to that part of him.

Guide into the unknown
To see all the stories that you have been told,
places where legend and myth comes with truth.
Gather your courage and follow me,
let me be your guide to what you will see.
Of course, beware, because I am like the ordinary youth,
play you a fool and leave you alone.
Remember the tale so old?
The one from your past,
the tale that disappeared so fast.
I can show you its gold.
As long as we are lone.
I’m the eyes of secrets the ocean may hold,
it is no lie, just let me lead the way.
If you dare I shall take you there,
to the ocean’s secrets anywhere.
Of course, beware, we are always someone’s pray,
it is now you keep a low tone.
Stay by my side and you will feel my cold,
unlike us those stories are vast,
unlike us they were made to last.
Loose yourself and await what is untold,
your last coin has been thrown.
So we are here, arrived, watch it all unfold,
the dreams you held dear until now.
Nothing of this will stay still for long,
watch it all now and hear its song.
Take your farewells and bow,
it is now we shall leave, just as foretold,
because there is nothing here you can own.
