Harry Chapin wrote:"And the Cat's in the Cradle and the silver spoon.
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
When you comin' home son?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then..."

This Jewel Mane Dragon's name is Cats in the Cradle. As strange, and probably exotic, as it may seem, it has meaning behind it. Another peculiar thing about it is that this wasn't always his name. No, he used to be called Crescendo. His mother named him this at birth, because his cries seemed to get louder as time progressed. But many years later, he decided to change his name to something that suited him properly. And since he believed that Harry Chapin truly wrote that song specifically for him, he decided to call himself "Cats in the Cradle." This, of course, is quite a mouthful. So feel free to call him "Carson." This is derived from the first two parts of his name, Cats in. Catsin almost sounds like Carson, so voila. Perfect nick name.
Carson wrote:"Well, really you can call me anything. I don't mind new nick names."

♂ ~ Carson is, in case you haven't noticed, a male.
Carson wrote:"Hey guys, don't judge. Well, you ignorant ones. I'm a guy."

{{ . This is an Interview with Carson. The true personality is next . }}
Gravity: "Hello! Thank you for coming in today. I'd just like to ask a few question, if you don't mind."
Carson: "Sure! Ask anything you like- I've got nothing to hide."
Gravity: "Alright, thank you. So first off, do you have any talents? And if so, how are they used?"
Carson: "Well, I'm not one to boast, but you see this jewel? I can control snow. Like, make blizzards, and such. I can also act pretty well, I guess. I love Shakespeare. I can also stick twenty-four grapes in my mouth, if that counts..."
Gravity: "Thanks for the insight... Now I'm gonna tell you straight up- I'm a super hero fan. So this question is honestly just for me. If you could have any super power, what would it be?"
Carson: "Well, I'd like to be able to transport objects. I'd be called MoveMan, I'd think, too. Like maybe one morning, when you forget your wallet at home, you can just give me a call. You know what? In thirty seconds, MoveMan would have your wallet right with you. Or it's free."
Gravity: "Cheesy joke. I like it. And that's a very cool power! Now, for a very expected question. Why did you name yourself Cats in the Cradle?"
Carson: *Sigh* Well, it all started when I was very young. Me, being a huge Mama's boy, always clung to my Mother for support and reassurance. And when she, when she, passed, I felt so alone. But luckily I had recently built a relationship with my Dad, so I went to live with him. It. Was. A. Terror. He always yelled at me- sometimes told me it was my fault Mama died. He always said to me, "You know, if it weren't for you, your mother and I would still be together." And it hurt. It hurt so much that I actually believed it. And it's almost like I became addicted to the constant hatred, because I soon began to set myself up purposely for his snide remarks. This, of course, was very unhealthy for me. So I soon began finding the reassurance from Mama somewhere else. And that place just so happened to be in my favorite song; "Cats in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin. That song... It got me through a lot. I could relate to every line in the song, and I finally felt safe again. Then, when my dad died, there was suddenly a huge burden lifted off of me. So you know what I did that week? I went to Harry Chapin's concert. And there? I found a scarf. It apparently belonged to the member of his group that sang as Mr. Tanner in one of his songs. I still wear it today. A little girly, but that's alright, I guess. And that following weekend I decided that I wanted to completely break free of the past, and put my all into starting over. So I became "Cats in the Cradle" instead of "Crescendo."
Gravity: "Touching. Thank you for sharing- you can leave now."
Carson: "Thank you for having me. I've enjoyed it a lot. Buh-bye, now!"

This is his personality.
{{ . Interesting Outlook . }}
Carson has a very unique way of looking at life, because he doesn't see things as a whole, but sees them as each individual thing that they are. For instance, on his daily commute, he watches other JMD's walking alongside him. He wonders many things about them, such as what they regret doing, what makes them the happiest, what is their most prized possession. Basically things that he would never ask a soul.
{{ . Almost Shy . }}
Yes, although Carson may seem like a rather out going Jewel Mane Dragon, he isn't. Until you get to know him, that is. You see, he is an exceptional conversationalist (in three different languages!) and makes good first impressions... But he tends to ramble, so he likes to steer clear of meeting too many new people. Once you get him out of his translucent shell, however, he knows how to both speak, and listen.
{{ . Complicated . }}
The only way to describe Carson is to put him in the shoes of a child. Have you ever noticed how many children, no matter how much they want something, will sometimes say that they don't want it? And then, later, will hold a grudge at the fact of not getting what they want, even if you had no idea. This is much like Carson. Because, however girly it may seem, loves sentimental moments... Or so he thinks. Because even though he's far too embarrassed to create one himself, he yearns to share one with someone. He'd never admit it, though.
{{ . Gentlemen . }}
Carson would rather take a beating then treat someone the wrong way. He holds the door open for strangers, always uses his manners, and isn't rude in the slightest. Even when others are, he remains diligent. This, whether he knows it or not, has a positive effect on the ladies. He'll be learning that soon, I believe.
{{ . Tenacious . }}
Yes, Carson has a lot of ambition for a young JMD like himself. Whether that be improving on a skill of his, or even becoming a professional chef (he actually despises cooking), nothing will get him down. This is a very useful tool, now that he is truly in the real world.
{{ . Quick-Witted . }}
Often times people can mistake Carson's clever comments for untasteful bits of rude remarks. This isn't true, however, and never will be. Because, as a great person once said, "words are in the eye of the beholder." It's all about perception, in the long run.
{{ . Sorta Solitary . }}
Carson, as I said before, is very complex. He is very talkative, but often enjoys to just stare off into space and zone out. Some call it day dreaming, while others choose the term slacking. Regardless of their perspective, things change.
{{ . Honest . }}
Although he loves to act out Shakespearean scenes, it doesn't take much to get Carson to completely come clean. He can lie, sure. Very well actually. But he is a firm believer in Karma and chooses not to.

On a Winter morning at day break,
Sun high in the afternoon,
Little bits of frost form,
And it's snowing hard soon.
But in a cozy library,
Carson is at war.
To go outside? To read a book?
Truly, he is torn.
But in the warmer weather,
Cocoa in arm's reach.
The sofa at the Library
Clung to him like a leach.
So there he spent his Winter day,
Plucking books from a shelf.
But he is perfectly comfortable-
Just he, him, and himself.

Deep in the woods,
In a world of our making.
Lost in each other,
No sense of forsaking.
A simple feel like any other,
Without any room to pretend as another.
But losing our footing on a wire of briers,
Binding and prying in loosening desires,
That not even the strength of
the strongest of motions,
Could calm this tide
Of rising commotions.
Drowning in sinners and falsified thoughts,
With feelings of malice, detachment and loss.
Swimming in circles around the drain,
Sucking the life from every vein.
Draining the soul and leaving it lost...
How much falling till you're finally caught?
And get back to the place your eyes have sought?
