Name:Caspian, for an ancient people who no one really knows much about considering that their language is near impossible to decipher. Only one source has ever been found that was able to help translate their language into a language scientists can understand. The history and mystery (I'm very sorry, no pun intended) of this people work well with my plot. I can mesh it into his background story, which would be very juicy, indeed. *wink wink*
Accessories:A brown leather harness with straps going around his chest, front legs, and stomach, hooking back up to his front legs. He does not always wear it, though, so it doesn't need to be drawn if you would prefer. It's just for helping transport small/injured animals. c:
Why I would like him:I am writing a story about CS pets; well, I haven't posted any of the actual chapters yet, though a few are finished, because I have been working on making my archives - you know, character bios, informative stuff, etc. It is
right here. I decided to post it on tumblr because I did not want to run the risk of violating any of CS's rules due to violence or graphic-ness or whatever. Not that it's horribly graphic, I just wanted to ensure that I had complete artistic freedom to write whatever I want. c:
Anyways, my story needs one more dragon in it, to fill a certain position. If you read "Divisions of the Armies" you will see the word "Recluse" about two thirds of the way down. That is why I need another dragon. I have an army (/democratic union of very small and very opinionated individuals) that needs a recluse, but I can't use just any dragon. I need a small dragon, and certainly one without wings. Now, I could just make my own dragon (or choose another Tess dragon, but I can't see my character as being one of them), but my strength lies in creating a character's personality, not their appearance, and this handsome devil has caught my eye. His appearance fits the personality of the dragon character I've imagined rather well. And I'm usually not into things that mark obvious differences between a main character and anyone else (I'm more subtle than that), but it just fits him so well.
The dragon character whose body I need to find/get is supposed to be the recluse for the rat army (though they are actually an independent democratic organization). While most recluse are off doing, well, what they do, Caspian usually needs to stay near his army, as rats are small and weak (don't tell them I said that); if they come upon shadow monsters, it would be pretty much a massacre, so he is there to provide support. A dragon is, after all, a very powerful legendary creature (no matter how cute you draw them). He enjoys his job, or as much as one can when in the middle of a war and economic and societal collapse. Even though the rats are technically a democratic "nation" and therefore hold their own council, Caspian is allowed to sit in on the leaders' talks, out of respect for his status and for his intelligence.
Caspian loves the rats, bless their little souls, but they can certainly make his job (and thus his life) difficult; it's sort of a ridiculous situation when two rat councilors are arguing over some mundane thing and all one can do is try to outshout (outsqueak?) them. There's also the fact that they travel really, really slowly. I swear, sometimes even I wonder how long it could possibly take the rats to get to shelter in the far north of the U.S.
Short Story OR Art: I don't have any art, nor the time to commission some, so I will just write three short stories. Most likely very short.
