Answer: Xant's companion is a lovely albino cornsnake who goes by the name of Colby. Like him, he finds her to be different. Xant has a thing for those who feel different or look different. He is attracted to such things, and since the very second he met this poor, lonely snake, they have been inseperable and he protects her, and she protects him. Weird as it may be, she kills poisonous bugs and pesky animals as they roam the hills. They've gained more friends, but they've never left each ither sides, not even when Xant fell in love. That has passed though.

Answer: A red fox would be the most fitting companion for Xaro. They're both incredibly mischievous, always getting into trouble by teasing or playing small tricks on others. Both are also very nimble and can squeeze through the tightest of cracks and navigate around the steepest of rocky crags. Despite being tricksters, both Xaro and red foxes are loyal to the end to their families and friends. Neither would abandon those close to them in a tight situation. But if any cat gets nudged off of a fence and hears giggling followed by the sound of fleeing hooves and paws, it's almost always the case that the culprits of the prank are Xaro and any fox friends he's picked up.

It's a practical choice, to be honest, but it's also far more than that - Tandaxa is nervous at night, when his eyes are not sufficient to penetrate the darkness. Vaux, as an owl, could act as a safety blanket - a protective talisman in the form of a gentle little companion.
