Meaning and History-
From a surname which comes from two distinct sources. As an Irish surname it is a variant of REILLY. As an English surname it is derived from a place name meaning "rye clearing" in Old English.

Why I chose this name-
I chose the name Riley because, as you've stated, this Lermy is genderless. Riley is a unisex name, so I think it'd suit perfectly for this genderless mystery.

Why do I deserve and want this Lermy?-
I'm going to be completely honest here; I am in love with this Lermy. I just love the concept, the fact it's genderless, and just the personality concept. At the time I'm typing this, my story is not complete, and I have a fairly good concept for it. I'm trailing off; Lermies are honestly one of my favorite species, and I have yet to build a thread for the ones I own already. I love them dearly, and honestly, have Riley in my care would not be any stress on spreading my care throughout all my characters. Riley would be welcomed into the huge embrace I have with all my characters.

Story-
I rolled myself over on the couch, looking over at the television. My eyes stung. I rubbed them gently, realizing I had been asleep this whole time. I saw the bright red screen of the TV; I guess I had fallen asleep while watching an episode of Sgt. Frog or one of the Jeff Dunham specials. I really couldn't remember. I sat myself up, knocking the army-print blanket off of myself. It was about four pm, as it said on the clock under the TV. Mom was probably cooking, dad was probably still asleep, and my brother, well, he was probably playing with his trains like usual. My vision slightly blurred; I must've been sleepy still. Though, I could've been imagining it, but I swore I saw a big, orange, fuzzy caterpillar-like creature crawling over the floor. I laid myself back down, thinking I needed more sleep.
After my eyes were closed, I felt something fuzzy or furry on my nose. Sliding my eyes back open, I saw something I should've expected; Cam. I simply pet the friendly Lermy, sitting myself up again. Bringing my face to his level, I whispered "Cam, what are you doing out here? You know I'll get in trouble if mom sees you." Cam's face seemed sad. I raised a brow, as it didn't seem to be from my statement. He crawled away towards the family room, urging me to follow.
Standing to my feet, I lost my balance, and gained it again after resting my weight on the coffee table. I jumped ahead of Cam, stopping him at the doorway. The hall to the family room and kitchen were connected, mom would be able to see us if we went now. I don't know what she was cooking, but it smelled terrible. Probably broccoli or beef. Those two foods smelled disgusting to me.
Cam and I waiting, peeking past the doorway. After a bit, mom's phone rang. This was our chance. She stepped out of sight to her phone, and Cam and I make a break for the door.
Once we were inside, Cam led me to the back door.

Yes, I do. I already own two other Lermies and am in good standing with them, so as long as I keep doing what I'm doing to take care of them, I don't think a third would harm their care.

KiriKaeru [When it's in a good mood, it likes to be called Kiri. When it's in a bad mood, it likes to be called Kaeru. kirikaeru is a Japanese word for switch. I choose this name because this Lermy can switch it's mood at any moment.]

Why do you deserve and want this Lermy?-

Well, weather I deserve it or not is up to you, but I want it because I love stripes, and it's little curved horn. It's the first man made Learmy, so obviously it has it's problems, it's neck is a little off, it has it's good days and bad days like everyone else. To some people, being man made, and different might be considered a bad thing, to me, it shows that this little Lermy is unique, and deserves all the love it can get. It will need a lot of time, patience and love dedicated to it. But I'm willing to give that up for this little thing <3

Somethings are good, some things are bad.
I am the best friend that I've ever had.
I blame myself for this, and I blame myself for that.
Sometimes I get angry at the simple drop of a hat.
I can be calm, collected and still, and I have to suppress that strange urge to kill.
I am sweet, nice, friendly and clean, I am the WORSE thing, that you've ever seen.

Story-

*Buzzpt, zzzzzzzz crack crack*
Kirikaeru woke up to the sound of sorted mechanical objects. Small, objects that made strange buzzing sounds, large objects that made cracking sounds. Even medium sized things that didn't make any noise at all! It looked around, there where strange two legged things wandering around it. They where smaller than Kirikaeru, but not by very much. One of them came close to it, with a vial about the size of a one liter Coka-Cola bottle. The creature [He smelt male] Told Kirikaeru that it would be alright, and gave him the liquid to drink. It tasted horrid, like a mixture of milk and lemon juice. Kirikaeru looked around, and saw that it was tied down when it tried to move. Panicked, it squirmed to try and get away, but it was to soon and the world around it started to fade to black.

When Kiri awoke, it felt cheery, it was in it's chest again, and thought that the scare scene before was just a dream. But then, there was a rage, and aggression that stirred inside it's belly. Kiri fought with itself, bumping against things and rolling on the grass. But it was no use, the last thing Kiri saw was the sky going pitch black, with blood red clouds.

Kaeru awoke in an unknown place. Looking around itself, it saw a beautiful black and red world. The water pooled like blood, and the
grass was a deep deep crimson. Confused and angry at everything and everyone for no particular reason, Kaeru started to rip out the grass and bite at the trees. It was not sure who it was, or where it was, but it knew that this place did not only belong to it. It would need to fight for this place, it was not sure who exactly, but it had a nagging feeling that it would be in a LONG battle with itself.

Good side of personality-

Artistic:
When Kiri is having on of it's good days, it can be extremely artistic. It loves to just dip it's tail in paint, and make wonderful art. But not only does it made art, it also loves to write stories and sing/hum music. It writes it's own songs and tunes and will sometimes use it's tail to tap out a beat.
Calm:
It can be very calm and relaxed. It enjoys just relaxing in the sunshine, drinking some water or lemon aid [which is it's favorite drink] snuggling up to it's owner. It even loved to read! Being man made has it's perks, and one of those is knowing how to read. Of course it has to start small before it can go big, but it still challenges it's self with some larger novels when it's in the mood.
Forgiving:
So you accidentally knocked over this Lermies lemon aid. Of course it will be a little flustered at first, but it will be more than happy to forgive you if you give it a nice big hug.
Loving:
Lermies are not small creatures as you probably know. So this Lermy is no different, it just LOVES to get attention and be cuddled at any time, or any place! Since it is so big, it makes a great place to just curl up and snuggle with. Especially when it gets colder.
Neat and tidy
Kiri loves to just clean up. It's part of it's chest is always clean and tidy. When ever one thing is out of order, Kiri rushes to fix it. You could say it is OCD about neatness
Strange
Sometimes Kiri will act a little different. And it wont be Kaeru controlling it. Kiri will sometimes throw fits if things don't go it's way, yet they are small and hardly noticed because kiri will cover them up right away.

Bad side of personality-

Angry
When Kaeru comes out to play, it's always a disaster. It never really wants to play nice or fair. It just sits in it's own little pile of dirt and loathing. It hates everything, and everyone. Even itself [Sometimes. It can also be full of itself, it just depends on the situation.]
Greedy
Drop something? I Kaeru sees it on the floor, it will take it. Just make a cake? Kaeru will just throw a fit until it gets it. It is greedy and spoiled most of the time, and it is not afraid to show it.
Distructive
When Kaeru sees you building a model airplane, and you think it is just watching you, you're wrong. Kaeru is probably plotting the best way to destroy all your hard work. It will probably be when you turn your head for a moment, it will use it's tail to smash that plane to bits.
Rude
Kaeru can be a bit rude at times. It is normally like this the moment it's "good" side vanishes and it comes out. It will lash out insults to the nearest human [or Lermy] in hopes that it will get attention.
Misunderstood
Aside from all the above bits of Kaeru's personality, if you give it the love and attention it deserves and needs, Kaeru can actually be quite, tolerable. Maybe it is not that bad after all?
