Number: #16
Picture:

Name: Ahdanvdo [Pronounced "Ah-da-nv-do"] Meaning "Spirit" in the Cherokee, the language she was raised on.
Species: Grey Wolf
Personality: Ahdanvdo is a level-headed individual, with a caring heart for others of any species. Although she is not directally social. She prefers to be alone or in a small group, but when in the company of others, she does make a very good partner. Ahadnvdo can navagate quite well without her hearing. Her body can sense vibrations from the air and ground quite well, and she is very agile.
Likes: Trees, Dense forests, Night, People, Sound vibrations.
Dislikes: Extreme weather, Clearings, Water, Large cats
Background: Ahdanvdo was born to an inexperienced mother wolf who lived within a village of Native Americans. She was the smallest of her litter, and was born deaf. As the pup aged, she was just like the rest of them, with only slight differences. But when the training of these captive wild dogs started, Ahdanvdo's differences were bold. Her attention often wandered, when being socialized she would sit and watch the animals in the valley. It was a challenge, but they did not give up on her right away, as whatever she did, she did more carefully, more vigorously, then all of the others.
In a dream one of the elders had, it came to him that the pup could not hear. In his dream, a she-bear lay with three cubs. One day, a fox had snatched one of her cubs away. The bear demanded her cub back, but the relentless fox would not return him. The fox struck a deal, and said if the bear would pick a flower from the top of the mountain, she would give the cub back. The bear did as the fox said, and treked up the mountain. But as she went, the weather was brutal. One of her remaining cubs died, and the other grew sick. Also, the mother bear had lost her sense of hearing. The mother bear picked a flower from the very top of the mountain, and made her way down. On the way down, her last cub had passed from sickness. But she came to find the fox, and gave her the flower. And as the fox had promised, gave the mother bear back her cub. But by now, the mother bear was nearly to weak to care for her last cub. But still, she kept on going. An Eagle had witnissed the foxes' evil, and forced the fox to do the same. He also put a curse upon any canine born on that mountain that one of their own kin would be born deaf. But the bear, even ever mad at the fox, begged the eagle not to punish the pups as she had been. The Eagle decided to grant the bear's wish, but only partially. The pup that was born deaf, would excell in all other parameters.
Ahdanvdo's mother was born on that mountain, and Ahdanvdo was the pup that ended up deaf, but as the mother bear had dealed, excelling in all other skills. The dream catcher and feathers were ordered by the cheif after she had lay at a dying elder's side untill the end. For a week, Ahdanvdo did not leave him. And in honor and thanks, they bestowed them upon her. The painting on her back was a final thanks from the elder, who had drawn that before he'd died. Ever since they had retraced it, in his honor.

I used a line art that I made, of course when I draw her I'll make her more proportionate to her original reference.

(If I don't get Ahdanvo, consider it a free gift to whomever get's her. ^-^))
