Number: #16

Name: Ahdanvdo [Pronounced "Ah-da-nv-do"] Meaning "Spirit" in the Cherokee, the language she was raised on.
Species: Grey Wolf
Personality: Ahdanvdo is a level-headed individual, with a caring heart for others of any species. Although she is not directally social. She prefers to be alone or in a small group, but when in the company of others, she does make a very good partner. Ahadnvdo can navagate quite well without her hearing. Her body can sense vibrations from the air and ground quite well, and she is very agile.
Likes: Trees, Dense forests, Night, People, Sound vibrations.
Dislikes: Extreme weather, Clearings, Water, Large cats
Background: Ahdanvdo was born to an inexperienced mother wolf who lived within a village of Native Americans. She was the smallest of her litter, and was born deaf. As the pup aged, she was just like the rest of them, with only slight differences. But when the training of these captive wild dogs started, Ahdanvdo's differences were bold. Her attention often wandered, when being socialized she would sit and watch the animals in the valley. It was a challenge, but they did not give up on her right away, as whatever she did, she did more carefully, more vigorously, then all of the others.
In a dream one of the elders had, it came to him that the pup could not hear. In his dream, a she-bear lay with three cubs. One day, a fox had snatched one of her cubs away. The bear demanded her cub back, but the relentless fox would not return him. The fox struck a deal, and said if the bear would pick a flower from the top of the mountain, she would give the cub back. The bear did as the fox said, and treked up the mountain. But as she went, the weather was brutal. One of her remaining cubs died, and the other grew sick. Also, the mother bear had lost her sense of hearing. The mother bear picked a flower from the very top of the mountain, and made her way down. On the way down, her last cub had passed from sickness. But she came to find the fox, and gave her the flower. And as the fox had promised, gave the mother bear back her cub. But by now, the mother bear was nearly to weak to care for her last cub. But still, she kept on going. An Eagle had witnissed the foxes' evil, and forced the fox to do the same. He also put a curse upon any canine born on that mountain that one of their own kin would be born deaf. But the bear, even ever mad at the fox, begged the eagle not to punish the pups as she had been. The Eagle decided to grant the bear's wish, but only partially. The pup that was born deaf, would excell in all other parameters.
Ahdanvdo's mother was born on that mountain, and Ahdanvdo was the pup that ended up deaf, but as the mother bear had dealed, excelling in all other skills. The dream catcher and feathers were ordered by the cheif after she had lay at a dying elder's side untill the end. For a week, Ahdanvdo did not leave him. And in honor and thanks, they bestowed them upon her. The painting on her back was a final thanks from the elder, who had drawn that before he'd died. Ever since they had retraced it, in his honor.

I used a line art that I made, of course when I draw her I'll make her more proportionate to her original reference.

(If I don't get Ahdanvo, consider it a free gift to whomever get's her. ^-^))

If it's a very short phrase and the meaning of the language is very apparent from context (e.g. "Salut!" he greeted friendlily), then it doesn't need a translation, but if it's more than a couple of words or not apparent from context (e.g. "J'ai perdu mon cadeau," he complained) then it will need a translation unless the character being addressed doesn't understand the language, in which case you don't need to have a translation but it would still be useful.

Uh, okay. xD

I'll probably just have a word bank, if that's okay. :S

I would like to adopt!
Number: #10.
Image
Name: Aiano Sunrise.
Species: Beryll wolf.

Personality: Naturally outgoing and graced with a vivacious demeanor, Aiano has a zeal for life that cannot be restrained. Sheer delight and goodwill seem to surround him; his honeyed tongue is one that is a source of constant encouragement and praise for those around him, even if the situation doesn't call for it. He tends to focus his energy and efforts on his fellow packmates and seems to have made it his task to ensure that they remain healthy and content; he seems almost endlessly lighthearted and this affords him a great deal of charisma. This, combined with his almost childlike fascination with the world around him, tends to put others under the impression that he is somewhat naive and puerile- and it would be wrong to assume far from otherwise. While he is not immature, Aiano is rather trusting and fails to see the damaging attributes in others. It is difficult for him to rein in his wholly affectionate behaviors, and so he tends to accept others without a second thought. His loyalty is unfailing, mainly because he has difficulty comprehending why someone would feel the urge to purposely injure another. Though his pack is mostly family, his goodwill would extend beyond them, as would his generosity.

Lucky for Aiano, he and his family occupy a particularly craggy area of the steppes that hold little to no predators- too far north in their particular region for humans to be a viable threat, and their crystal bodies are difficult to damage. It is probably for this reason that he has not had his innocent and unsuspicious ways altered, and, with any luck, never will, as he has no motivation or drive to leave his family group to begin his own.

Likes: Philosophical-related talks, lighthearted debates about this or that, sharing time with his siblings and parents, weaving merry stories to recant to new litters, and maintaing balance in his own life and in the pack, among other things.

Dislikes: Sadness, discomfort, disappointment. He finds pride to be tasteless and the cause of strife (his eldest brother left the pack after an ego-splitting quarrel with their father), so he doesn't so much as dislikes it as he simply avoids it altogether. A strange one would be sand, as it scratches at his belly and tail.

Background: The elder spoke with a cracked voice, and there was more life in his tale than there was in his glazed eyes. His fur had begun thinning months ago; the once-vibrant scarlet of his pelt had since faded to a sallow salmon and was beginning to molt away from the hard casing of yellowed crystal that ran beneath his coat. "Long ago," he began, sharply sapphire eyes pinned to his grandson, "Before you, or I, was even a blip of a thought on the darkest corner of the mind of the Universe, there was a wolf named Heliodor. But he wasn't like us, oh no, for this wolf had no protection beneath his fur, and nor was he beautiful and colorful. He was a soft, pearly white all over, like the color of the virgin snow that caps the peaks during Winter. And Heliodor lived in a cave at the top of the tallest mountain, and he lived well and enjoyed life. Every morning he could sit and watch the sun kiss the bowl of the valley below him on its climb into the sky, and every evening he could sit outside and bask in the light of the stars. But the cave he lived in," here Grandfather stopped to draw a rattling breath before continuing, "It was no ordinary cave. The walls and ceiling, and even the floor, were mantled in beautiful crystals of every color, from the fullest golds to the brightest reds to the deepest blues. In fact, these crystals were so large and bold and flawless that if he were to step into the light reflected off one of the many facets, the shaft of color would seem to melt into his fur, and in this way he could be whatever hue of the rainbow he wished for just a few moments."
"But there was a problem," came a smaller, younger voice, and Grandfather's wandering eyes flicked back to his grandson, a smile in their depths. "Because he wasn't alone on the mountain anymore. And they came to his cave."
"Yes," Grandfather said sadly. "And when the flat-faced people came to Heliodor's cave, he stood at the front and asked, 'Good creatures, why are you here?' but his language was lost on their ears, and the only thing that translated to them was that he would not let them past to his cave. And so he asked again, slower, and louder: 'Creatures, why do you come? There is nothing of use to you here.', for Helidor did not understand the greed of the flat-faces. And as he opened his maw to speak a third time, the intruders struck him down. They walked through Heliodor's blood and stepped over his limp body as they made their way with huge instruments to the back of his cave, and they didn't leave until they had plucked their fill of crystals from the walls and the ceiling and the floor. What they left behind was little more than a pitted, empty h-"
"But Heliodor came back!" piped the diligent listener, squirming in his spot as if he had been containing this phrase for minutes on end. Grandfather chuckled and nodded, tilting his head ever-so-slightly to the side. "Perhaps you would like to finish?"
The younger- yet still adult- Beryll wolf grinned, the end of the tale already on his lips. "What they left behind was only a pitted, empty hole. But then, that night, the Universe saw what the flat-faces had done to Heliodor and his cave, and they took pity on him. So they took away his body and sealed up his cave, and he awoke beneath the sunrise the next morning, and he was alive and whole again. But he had been give a gift: His fur was thick and colorful, and his skin was hard as crystals. Even though he didn't have his cave anymore, he had been given a home in the steppes, where he could run until his final breath and forever be under the sky and sunrise that he loved."
Grandfather was nodding his head along to the tale, a broad smile erupting across his whitening muzzle, when a third voice broke from the entrance of the den, something akin to a deep disgust ranging inside it.
"Pup tales should remain for pups," the third wolf spoke, padding forward to stare down at Aiano, who met his second brother's gaze with a look of almost pure concern.
"All pup tales have some truth and goodness to them, Kealii. I know you remember the moral to Heliodor's tale as well as I."
"Yes, dear brother," Kealii spoke with an overdramatic sing-song air until his voice hardened once more, "Kill first, ask questions later."
"You thick-headed brute," Grandfather growled, rising shakily to his gnarled bones to meet Kealii head-on. "Keep your ignorant tongue behind your teeth. Some morals would do you well."
"And you're little more than a doddering codger." Kealii snorted. "Then again, why do I care what you say? You'll be dead soon anyhow."
"Please!" came Aiano's unexpected cry as he burst between them, amethyst eyes flashing. "Stop!" Kealii's lips curled back into a vicious snarl and he lowered himself, hackles prickling along the base of his neck and his ears pulling flat against his head. Though he quivered internally, Aiano held his ground, his piercing eyes never leaving Kealii's. There was a moment of hard silence, until from behind him there was a heavy shuffle as Grandfather stepped back with a displeased grunt and moved to the opposite end of the large cavern. Aiano took a step towards his brother, a sad but resolved look stretching across his gentle face. "Kealii." He said simply, more-so a plea than a demand for submission.

As if on cue, a fourth Beryll wolf stormed into the den, her brow stitched and her voice sharp and fierce. "That," she barked, crystal tail curling up over her back, "Will be quite enough. Kealii, go find your father. I'm sure he could find some use for you," Kealii met his mother's gaze, staring back resentfully. "Now!" She snapped, taking a threatening step towards him. Though she was a tad smaller than her son, she had no fear of him, and it was apparent in the way she fairly herded him from the den before pivoting back around to stare at Aiano. At the sight of her youngest- his usual bright, wonder-filled eyes gazing back at her with a slightly sad gleam- her own gaze softened significantly and she dipped her head with a smile, approaching him slowly. "Are you alright, dear?"
"Of course, mother. I just...I don't like it when they fight." From behind them, Grandfather grumbled quietly to himself.
Flicking her ears back but ignoring Grandfather all the same, his mother smiled sadly. "I know, Aiano."
"And I don't want Kealii to have to go like Aulani," his voice took on a completely morose edge for a moment, and he lowered his hindquarters to the floor. It was difficult for Aiano to speak of his eldest brother; Aulani certainly hadn't been a positive member of the family but he was still just that- family, and that in itself was something the Beryll wolf treasured greatly. When their father had finally run him off, Aiano was the only one apart from his mother that had felt any sense of sadness at his departure. The others had written him off months earlier and their father in particular had been itching to get his impudent son off of his territory.
"Aulani needed to go, dear," his mother said, tone comforting as she seated herself beside Aiano. "Things between him and your father...they were not working out. And they weren't going to." Though they were not a particularly affectionate family, Aiano had always been different and his mother loved and respected this. Licking her son between his ears- though she had to reach to do it, as even Aiano was taller than her- she continued calmly. "You know that, correct?"
"Yes, mother."
"Good. Everybody needs a little more sunshine, Aiano. That's what you are for us."

Born and raised within his father's territory in the steppes, Aiano was a ball of energy from the time he could struggle into standing. An almost constant stream of happy phrases spilled from his little orange muzzle; nearly every question fathomable had been queried at least once or twice- or more, depending on whether or not the answer suited him. From an early age he became almost inseparable from Grandfather, who provided him with vivid tales and made sure he was well-aware of life and how he should live it. Perhaps it was for this reason that now, in the youth of his adulthood, he maintained older traditions that were lost on Aulani and Kealii. He believed, for example, that one should defer to elders and parents; respect- especially mutual respect- was something that was relatively important to him. Despite his bubbly personality, there were times when he could be deathly serious, especially about matters pertaining to family. On his father's side, it was more tradition for the males to branch off and begin their own family groups, but Grandfather was his mother's sire and so that guideline wasn't a part of what he was taught- though it was likely a strong factor behind Aulani's forced expulsion from the territory.
In that regard, tensions among the males in his family had always run somewhat high; Aulani and Kealii were headstrong, and spent much of their time bickering amongst themselves and establishing dominance, something that was fairly lost to Aiano- is his opinion, Mother and Father and Grandfather were the only ones who could take orders. He was, of course, laid-back enough so that he typically played along with any of his brothers' games, though the majority of his time was spent closer to the den than away from it. He grew closer to his mother over the years; she was not particularly maternal, but raised her sons without complaint and was a good source of encouragement and wisdom, and it is from her that he inherited his placid, but cheerful, outlook on life.

Number: 17

Name: Jekita
Species: Wolf Elemental
Personality: Shy, intuitive, mischievous
Likes: preening, flying, exploring, finding treasure, meeting new people
Dislikes: water, bees, gray weather with no rain, owls
Background: Jekita remembers little of her life as a pup. She woke up alone in a tropical jungle several years ago, and has lived on her own ever since. (As I see it, her mother would be a wind elemental, and her father a fire elemental.) She is largely nomadic, and rarely stays in one place for more than a week. She has friends in almost every continent(I imagine she would live in some fantasy land during medieval times), though rarely crosses oceans. She does not know why, but she finds herself deathly afraid of bodies of water, despite her love of rain. Jekita tends to reside deep in forests, where there are many secrets to be found.
Jekita is also in possession of a rare gift. She discovered that she could, to a degree, control air currents and wind. This power develops as she journeys and searches for the keys to her past. She never seems to be cold, and, unless flying through heavy, stormy winds for almost an entire day, she never seems to be out of breath. He muscles are well developed(as most flying beast’s are) and she can hold her own against bears and even small dragons. Her aerial skills are rarely matched, and she evade almost any flying creature.
Jekita has a very carefree personality, and at first she seems naive. However, Jekita is extremely perceptive, and very little slips past her attentive senses. Often she surprises people by reminding them of something that one would not have expected her to catch. Her fur makes her an easy target in most places, and she tends to abandon stealth. This is seen in her social life as well, and when she sees a possible ally Jekita will often surprise them by appearing out of the sky/trees. However, her friendly manner soon wins even the most cautious heart.

She dislikes bees and owls because they appear out of nowhere and make irritating sounds.

That’s what I’ve got in mind so far. :3

I would like to adopt!
Number: 5
Picture: Image
Name: Berrilium
Species: Water(melon)wolf
Personality: Brave, bold and slightly big headed.
Likes: Showing off, moist places (being a watermelon ;D) and hunting strawberry rats.
Dislikes: Dry hot temperatures, people being better then him.
Background:
Berrilium came from the stem of a watermelon plant. Like all fruit wolves that inhabited Edable Island Berrilium was a pup picked off a plant. Afterwards the plant would die. Berrilium, however, was different. He was the only watermelon plant to have ever grown. This meant no other wolf had ever been watermelon flavour. This was the begging of a character like no other.
~
Berrilium enjoyed playfighting with other dogs, mainly the soft berry dogs. He would drool red juice out of his mouth and spit pips at the loosers. "Much too good" was what he had to say about himself. Rea, his mother was a rockmelon wolf. Rockmelon wolves are typically ashamed of show-offs so Rea was very dissapointed by her son. However Berrilium did not care because Laroc, his father was a classic lime wolf, admiring strong beings and cheering them on.
~
After many arguments over how their son was acting Rea had had enough, she went off to live with her brother in the realm where she came from. With the prompting of his father Berrilium took up hunting for strawberry rats, the most prized prey of their island. Berrilium enjoyed this job alot because he could show off his hunting porwess. Strawberry rats were strong, fast and mean.

Note: I can't complete it, I have exceeded my internet quota and really should not even be here typing this :( But I am just leaving my form here anyway x.x

I should probably specify that the drawing has to be of the character you're trying for - I think a couple of people got confused about that last round. :3
