‘‘I twirl through the driveway with angelic grace,
'Til I slip on the sidewalk and fall on my face,
This peppermint winter is so sugar-sweet,
I don't need to taste to believe,
What's December without Ɔняιƨтмαƨ Єʌɛ?’’
Username;; The Jinxed FoxName;; "Hi there! The name's Peppermint Winter, but you can call me Pep, Pepper, Peppermint or Winter."Gender;; Male Personality;;{Playful~}
Pep is very playful, always wanting to have some fun. He is very rambunctious, and has plenty of energy. He never seems to walk anywhere, but rather run to his destination. Though this means a fun playmate and someone who you can always count on to want to do something with you, it also means he can be destructive at times. He usually fidgets quite a bit too, and he plays with the tassels of his scarf all the time. He always seems to need to be moving.
~~~
{Childish~}
Pep is very childish and certainly immature! He hates to act his age and he has a great sense of humor. He is always cracking inappropriate jokes.
"No I doooooon't!"
Yes, you do.
"NOOOOO."
He has silly arguments all the time, but they're always in jest. He laughs at almost anything, and he wonders about a lot too. If you take him to a new place, you'll often glance over your shoulder to see him gazing at something with awe-filled eyes. He is curious, and always wants to learn. Small things excite him, and it isn't hard to make him smile. Just show him a magic trick and he'll worship you. He is fascinated by magic, because he doesn't understand it.
~~~
{Sneaky~}
Pep is very sneaky, and fast. Being small, he can sneak into small places and find out exactly what you're getting him for Christmas. He is often daring enough to steal things from people, but guilt will always get him in the end and he will give your possession back. This is why he is quite good at performing magic - he has fast paws. He can be rather sly too, manipulating people to get what he wants. He always has this cheeky glint in his eyes, and that's how you know he's going to pull a prank on someone. Practical jokes are one of his favorite pastimes.
~~~
{Tease~}
Pep is such a tease. He-
"Hey, Jinxed. Want this cookie?"
Oh, sure. Thanks Pep-hey!
"Oh, sorry. Did I ask you if you wanted it? Oh. I thought I asked if you wanted me to eat it. Heh, by bad."
You're so mean.
"Aw, I'm sorry Jinxed. Here, give me a hug - oh, sorry. That was your foot. My bad c;"
Thanks.
Anyway, he can be very teasing at times. He enjoys pushing some people to their limits, but he always apologizes afterwards. He finds it amusing to tease them until they snap at him, which usually puts him on people's bad side. However, he will always give them a heartfelt apology afterwards, hoping to gain their friendship again.
{Joker~}
Peppermint is a practical joker, and proud. He is a lover of all things mischievous and naughty. He loves to pull harmless pranks on people, and his favorite is freezing their phone, keys or another prized possession in a block of ice. If ever you see your car keys sitting on the bench in a block of ice, turn to Pep and he'll probably burst out with laughter, knowing you have to thaw them out of there to use them. He also uses jokes to brighten up the mood a bit. However, this sometimes means cracking inappropriate jokes at inappropriate times.
There. It's all in.
"That's what she sa-"
I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE INFORMATION, YOU SNOWBALL.
"Ooooh. Heh. I, uh...I knew that."
Right...
He can brighten up the mood easily though, and you can always turn to him for a laugh!
~~~
{Adventurous~}
Last but not least, Peppermint is very adventurous. He always wants to understand everything, and is curious about almost everything he comes across. He will rapidly fire questions at you until he has all the information about what he wants to know. He loves to explore, and he will not turn down an adventure to a new place. He loves to find new placed because it is new information, and he loves to learn all about new things. His curiosity leads him to a few odd places sometimes, and sometimes it can lead him into trouble, but his daring nature won't let him stop exploring.Will you take care of him and not let him collect dust?;;Of course I will! How could anyone leave such a beautiful JMD to collect dust? My only other JMD, Monotone, has so much love and care, and I'd be more than happy to give the same amount to this JMD as well <3
If I win him, Pep will become more than just an adopted JMD to me, he will become one of my beloved characters, and will be drawn everywhere both digitally and in my sketchbook c:Art;;

How Peppermint Winter got his Scarf~
The young Jewel Maned Dragon peered at his reflection in the shiny, red bauble. He backed into the stalking stance and wiggled his rear before pouncing on the bauble, knocking it off the Christmas tree’s branch. It shattered to the floor, and the JMD jumped back in surprise, looking at his mother with puzzled eyes. His mother sighed, sweeping him back with her tail.
“Watch your paws, Pep,” she said, abandoning her decorating of the tree as she tried to keep her squirming son away from the sharp edges of the bauble. Peppermint Winter watched his mother clean up the mess for a few seconds before becoming distracted by the window. He bounded over to the window and jumped onto the ledge. He sat on the windowsill, looking into the dark garden. The stars twinkled in the sky like tiny Christmas lights, and snow fell from the sky like confetti. Puzzled, Peppermint watched the snowflakes drift to the frosted grass outside. He scrambled from the window ledge and over to his mother. He tugged on her tail, trying to get her attention.
“Mama! Mama!” he cried, looking over his shoulder at the window.
“Yes, sweetheart?” she said, placing another bauble on the tree.
“Look outside! Look at the sky!” Peppermint said excitedly. His mother turned and smiled at her son’s reaction to his first sight of snow.
“That’s snow, Pep,” she said, gently nudging him to the door. She opened it wide and let the cold winter wind ruffle the fur of her mane. Peppermint hesitantly poked his furry nose out the door, followed by his sharp, intrigued eyes. A snowflake fell on his nose and he squealed with joy, ducking back into the safety of his mother’s legs. His mother laughed, pushing him out again. He dashed into the snow this time, daring to jump into a pile of soft, white snow.
“Oh, it’s so cooold!” he said, jumping out again. He bounded through the grass, twirling through the snow. He stuck out his tongue and caught the snowflakes in his mouth. Suddenly, a clump of snow smashed into his side, knocking him into the snow pile again. He jumped up, confused, to see his mother laughing at him, a snowball in her paw. Peppermint caught on to the challenge and made his own snowball. He threw it at his mother, catching her in the face. He grinned and ran away as his mother chased him around the garden, flicking snow at him. A snowball fight broke out between the two, and eventually they collapsed on the snowy ground, panting and laughing and covered in snow. They watched the snow fall from the sky in a comfortable silence for a while, before Peppermint murmured, “It’s cold out here.”
His mother got up, shaking snow from her fur. “Come with me,” she said, beckoning him into the house. He followed her into her bedroom. She rummaged around in her wardrobe for a moment before producing a snowy-white scarf. She wrapped it firmly around Peppermint’s neck.
“There we go,” she said, smiling as she watched Pep play with the tassels on the end. “Come on, let’s make a snowman.”
They made a snowman together under the night sky. The moon illuminated the scene of the two Jewel Maned Dragons fooling around together as they made Peppermint’s first ever snowman. Once Pep had added the finishing touch of a carrot nose, they stepped back to admire their work.
“Looks good!” Pep said, smiling up proudly at his mother.
“It sure does,” she agreed, ruffling the fur on his head.
“This has been the best Christmas Eve ever!” Peppermint said, gazing up at the stars. A sudden panic filled his eyes. “Wait! I need to go to sleep though! Or Santa won’t come!”
His mother chuckled. “He’ll wait, don’t worry. But you’re right, let’s get you to bed.”
She ushered him into bed and kissed him goodnight.
“Goodnight, Pep. Oh, take off that scarf,” she said, shaking her head.
“No, mama! I want to sleep with it!”
“Fine then,” she agreed, turning to leave the room. She flicked the light off, looking over her shoulder and smiling. “Goodnight, and Merry Christmas.”
“Night-night, Mama. Merry Christmas.”

How Pep Got His Name~
The nameless young Jewel Maned Dragon tumbled through the thick, newly-fallen snow. He broke through the crisp top layer into the damp, heavy layer underneath. The frosty grass brushed against the delicate skin of his underbelly and he squealed, jumping up. His mother was there in a heartbeat to catch him.
"Be careful," she said wearily. She didn't realize how much of a chore it was to keep an eye on a baby. She hadn't even named him yet!
He went running off to play again. She watched his silvery-white jewel glint in the weak, morning sun.
"I wish you'd show me your power," she murmured.
"Mama! I want a candy-cane!" her son called from across the garden.
"Where are your manners?" she sighed, standing up and shaking snow from her pelt.
"Please?" said her son, trotting over to her.
She nudged him to the door of their home. "Go on, get one."
The two walked into the house and to the huge, sparkling Christmas tree. He reached up for the nearest peppermint-flavoured candy cane. He yanked it off the tree, knocking a bauble to the ground. Luckily, his mother leaped for it and caught it by the string before it crashed onto the baby's head.
"Phew!" she breathed a sigh of relief as her oblivious son ripped the wrapping off the candy cane. He paused for a second before looking up to his mum with curious eyes.
"Mama...what's my name?" he asked.
"You don't have one yet, sweetheart."
"Why?"
His mother glanced down at him. "Because, you haven't used your power yet. And I want to name you something after your power."
The young JMD nodded and yawned, sleepily leaning back and absorbing the warmth of his mother's body heat.
"Tired?" she asked. He nodded sleepily, the long fur of his mother's belly tickling his nose.
"Ah-choo!"
He sneezed, snorting out a few delicate snowflakes from his nose. The scent of peppermint filled the air as the baby rolled over and dozed off, unaware of his mother looking at him in surprise.
"Well then, there you go," she murmured, smiling. "We'll call you Peppermint."
"What's that got to do with my power, Mama?" asked the sleepy JMD.
"Peppermint...Winter? Like the song?" she asked.
"I like it."
"Me too," she said, curling her tail protectively around Peppermint Winter as he dozed off into a peaceful sleep, minty candy-cane falling to the floor.

Poem~
When stars twinkle overhead like diamonds in the sky,
And snowflakes fall like silver dust,
On Christmas Eve, look up to the buildings high,
And you'll see him, but only just.
A shadow of darkness, a sleek, slender shape,
Leaping from rooftop to roof,
His scarf billowing like a snowy white cape,
As elegantly as a raindeer's hoof.
On his favorite night, bringing snow to all,
Is little old Peppermint Winter,
Slipping and sliding and threatening to fall,
Yet as silent and stealthy as a hunter.
Blowing gusts of snow over the night,
For the children waiting for Saint Nick,
When the grass is frosted in the bright moonlight,
He vanishes with a wink and tail flick.

How He Uses His Power~
Peppermint's jewel is white - giving him the power of creation of blizzards and snow. Peppermint uses this power every Christmas Eve - his favorite night. He goes out in the chilly night to all the places that haven't had snow. He hides among the rooftops and creates a snowstorm, blanketing everywhere with a layer of crisp, white snow for the children to play in on Christmas morning. It is Peppermint's Christmas present to see others enjoying what he has done, though they will never know it is him.
