Orchid
Orchids represent mature charm, like love, beauty, and refinement. Purple orchids in particular can mean strength and respect. They grow in forests, clinging to other trees for support and making even the dullest foliage burst with color. I have always loved flower names for JBDs, and her speckles on the grays match an orchid's grace perfectly.

Some of her friends call her Chi, and it rhymes with "pie."

26 in human years

A young Jellybean Dragon scratched away at her notebook with a yellow pencil. The only light available was from the moon and the soft glow of the charms on her horn. She glanced at an interesting flower that was in bloom in front of her, and went back to sketching it. This dragon's name was Orchid, and she was currently on a camping trip with her parents in this forest. Orchid had snuck out of camp to observe some of the nighttime flora and fauna, as her parents would never let her any other way. She had never payed too much attention to rules.
Orchid returned her pencil to her pouch and closed her notebook with a snap. She wondered what time it was, and peered upwards with her bright violet eyes to check the positioning of the moon- a handy skill. Just then, a great flock of birds erupted from the trees a while away; their squawks could be heard even from where the bean was sitting. There must have been 50 of them. Orchid found it most peculiar, and she watched as they flew off in different directions with no discernable pattern. Curious as to what had caused them to take off, she began a brisk walk in that direction. Leaves rustled as the gray and purple dragon swept by them, speckled coat dappled by moonlight. After a few minutes, Orchid could see an ember glow up ahead. Her heart raced; it was a forest fire! Speeding up, she knew she would have to run past to warn her parents and get out. And then it hit her like a blow to the head: The fire was her parent's campsite. With a wail, Orchid ran to the edge of the flames, shouting her parent's names. No reply. The flames reached towards the sky, lighting up her fur with an orange glow as she backed away. She knew that she had to run and save herself now. With a last glance at the tents being eaten hungrily by the blaze, she raced off again. That was the last time she saw her parents. After that, she traveled to an adoption center in the city. She jumped from foster home to foster home, becoming more unruly as she aged until she was old enough to be on her own. Orchid never forgot her love of stargazing and botany and often left the city for the forest, finally earning enough money to buy a small cabin on the edge of the woods. She started her own herb and flower shop on ghe side of the city closest to her home, and that is where Orchid is now.

-Hardworking-Orchid takes pride in her work. She isn't a slacker. When attenpting to do something, or asked to, Orchid doesn't quit, stop halfway, or get distracted. She gets it done with no procrastination.
-Adaptable-It would be difficult to place Orchid in a situation that she couldn't handle. Whether it be moving, dealing with people, or whatever else might be thrown at her, she can take ot in stride and adjust. In fact, sometimes Orchid enjoys things like moving.
-Sympathetic-Orchid can't just leave someone if she sees that they are in trouble. She will do the best that she can to help and put herself in that situation. For example, if she sees a young child begging on the street, she will go out of her way to help that bean, no matter how long it takes.
-Patient-"No rush" is an essential part of Orchid's vocabulary. She knows that everyone can't be as quick as she is with work, and lets people work at their own pace as long as it gets done.
-Honest-Orchid can't lie, and she hates when others lie to her. Whenever this dragon attempts to fib, guilt eats away at her until she confesses anyways. Becuase of this, Orchid has learned to just always tell the truth unless it is absolutely necessary to lie.
-Considerate-Manners and kindness to others are important to Orchid. She wouldn't let a door slam in someone's face, she would hold it open with a smile on her face. Of course, it REALLY bugs her when people don't even say thank you!
-Independent-Orchid prefers to work alone. She has found that often, she can get things done faster and better just by working on her own. This doesn't mean that Orchid doesn't like friends, it's more that if she didn't like them then she could get by.
-Calm-It would be hard to find something that could rile Orchid up. She is laid back and takes things slow. Unless she gets too much sugar.
-Intuitive-Always asking questions, Orchid loves knowledge. She's loaded with trivia and facts. Since Orchid was little, she has been curious and wanted to know everything.
-Perfectionist-Everything has to be perfect. One typo? Better re-write the whole report. That's what Orchid is like, always making sure everything is just right.
-Boastful-Orchid brags. Often. She likes people to know her accomplishments, and thinks she deserves recognition.
-Finicky-Once again, everything has to be just right. Especially food. Of she doesn't like how it's served, Orchid is unlikely to even try it.
-Indecisive-This way or that way? Orchid can't ever decide things. What if it's wrong? What if it's right? She over-analyzes everything.
-Overcritical-If something is wrong or she doesn't like it, Orchid might go on and on about it. Even if it's a small thing, she desipises mess-ups or things that bother her.
-Stubborn-Orchid likes to do things her way. It's hard to convince her otherwise. This dragon dislikes being told what to do or how to do something.
-Clumsy-Woops, dropped it! Orchid has butter-paws. You can't trust her with holding anything important or fragile. She also runs and bumps into things, trips, and more.

Superstitious
This dragon has always believed in things like breaking mirrors, walking under ladders, and opening umbrellas indorrs because bad things really do seem to happen to her when she does those types of things. Really, however, it is just her clumsiness that causes these. One thing that Orchid rejects completely, though, is that black cats are bad luck. A bunch of malarky, balogna, she says. In fact, a black cat named Emerald is her companion.
Fears:
Arsonphobia/Pyrophobia- Both are the names of the fear of fire. The forest fire that either killed or separated her from her parents scarred her, and now she can only handle candles without trembling.
Amaxophobia- The fear of riding in a car is fairly recent to Orchid. A few years ago, one of her foster parents was walking her across the street when a drunk driver hit the older dragon. She lived, but Orchid could never look at a car the same again.
Orchid also hates to go to bed with dirty paws. She thoroughly wahses them before climbing in to bed. She believes that rolling around in your feet-dirt is gross.

Botany
Orchid has always loved plants- her name is also one, but it is not her favorite. It is the hibiscus. Anyways, she loves to sit quietly in her greenhouse and record observations of her plants while enjoying some alone time. After years of study, botany is also her profession as she grows her own plants and uses them as medicinal and edible herbs that she used and sells in her shop.
Stargazing
Stars have always fascinated Orchid. The thought that they exist so many light-years away, those beautiful twinkling lights, and that they might already be dead, all make her wonder. She loves to think about the unknown, to wonder what is out there beyond our Earth and further than man will ever go. Not only that, but they are just beautiful, especially out in the forest where so many are visible.
Sketching
Her knack for observing the natural world has allowed Orchid to sketch and draw from a young age. She enjoys sitting with something in front of her and then trying to copy it as best as she can. In her younger years, Orchid would draw all of the different types of flowers that she could find in her note book and then add information and the name of the flower until she had a huge guide that spanned 5 notebooks after 12 years.

This dragon is beautiful. As soon as I saw her, my breth was taken away. The detail on her coat, her broght eyes, and her accessories are very stunning. She was quickly my dream JBD. I recongnized the style, and I believe I know the artist, but my lips are sealed. Anyways, she is everything I have ever wanted in a dragon. Beauty, nice colors, accessories, and then the personality that I have fitted to her. I love her so much, and sincerely hope that I stand a chance of winning her.

Unfortunantly, my computer's video card broke, so this is all of the art I could do and the rest has been done on my phone.
