Why? Oh, yes. Hmm, let me think...Oh yes. It was all back when I was but a little been. I lived in a wealthy house, with humans. It was quie dusty there, but on unfortunate day, my owner had died from breathing in the dust for so long. The other rest of the family, then had to kick me out, since I was such a big burden. I still cry sometimes, thinking of them Thats why I keep my den nice, shiny, and big!

Explanation:

My fear started a few months ago,
when my mother went missing with no
explanation. My father was devastated,
and I was filled with grief. Soon, my father
died of depression and I was all alone. If
anyone found out I was orphaned, I would
be taken away.

My everyday life continued,
but the fear of being taken away remained.
The fear of losing freedom is present in
everyone's mind, but not always thought
about. In my mind, it's as clear as daylight.
Fear of commitment to something raises
a question, is absolute freedom the best
thing for me? Probably.

I screamed and ran around, but they would not come off!I ran through the sprinklers and they flew away.I cried so much that I never went outside until my mom sprayed for moths.I will NEVER forget that day.''

"This fear started over a couple of instances. A few years ago I was out in a rainstorm. All of a sudden, the hair on the back of my neck stood up and the next thing I knew, lightning struck the ground next to me. A little over a year later, I was helping to load up a trailer and was holding metal equipment. Once again I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and lightning nearly hit me again. Ever since then, I stay inside during a storm and am worrying until the storm's over."
