Hello, Zane... I'm here to just give a quick check on blood pressure and-

The city's a big place. Not at all like where I'm from.
So you never been in a big city before?
Well, I've been in all sorts of places. Seen things much, MUCH crazier than this. I'm just remarking on how different it is from MY home thread. The smells were more... earthy. Sort of mellow. This place has a BANG BANG BANG bright BRIGHT BRIGHT quality. There's sounds, even though it's so dark. And the lights go on and on and on...
Well, it's not but a few miles back to the neighborhood. I have to say Alena's always brilliant at choreographing these things.

Yeah... I noticed. The rock nearly hit me in the head. What is with you people and breaking open such perfectly good windows?
Hahaha! Not me, the rock is Alena's thing. I just threw it for her. Her parent's keep a much closer eye on her than mine do... I guess I'm just the hands of most of these operations.
What do you mean by 'keeping a closer eye?'
Ehhh, you know. My parents... well they don't really care so much about where I go and all of that. So long as I show up after school, and bring home a non-failing report card every nine weeks it doesn't really matter. I can go pretty much anywhere I want. Hers, well I guess they care a little more. I mean, I'm sure if my mom even gave a good look at how I keep my hair, just a look for five seconds, she'd take off my whole head with it.
Ohh... That makes sense I guess...
Yeah... But anyway dude, change of subject now, so we got this whole thing planned out. Lemme explain it to you. Alyna knew when her mom said the whole 'later' thing that it would mean we wouldn't be able to see you for probably ages. And you're practically one of us now, so we knew that it was going to be like heck for ages in whatever they were doing in there. And we couldn't let that happen to a brother. So she arranged a bust to get you out. We're pretty good at these things. In and out of detention, mall security centers, the occasional public park after hours... she's gotten me out of it! This hospital was pretty low budget, and I know my way around town better than anyone else. It's almost like I don't even have to try!

So anyway, we got a place you can stay, and all that good stuff. It's all set!
Wait... just like that?
Just like that, man. Alena's attic is where they let the guests crash. There's a bed set upstairs and everything. I've even gone up there when it's a bad night to stay at my place. It's an easy place to sneak in and out of.
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait.... Are her... parents ok with this even? I don't know...
No dude. I told you, she set it all up. Once we get back to the street, we're meeting up. Her parents are usually asleep by now, then she can explain the rest.
I'm really confused...
Let me break this down. Alena arranged for us to break you out of there. Now, we're going to her place, where you'll be staying. Tomorrow, is saturday, when we can discuss this more. Mark and I even pitched in a bunch of our old clothes and stuff.
Uhhhh... all right I guess.

Haha. Zane and Alena in the same house? That sounds like a whole lot of painful adventures for Zane.

It's his eye, but really big and 8T looking. The other is covered by his swoopy boyband hair.
Food arrangements are basically hoarding non-perishable junkfood in the attic. [[It's not much of a spoiler]] Or whatever Alena decides she wants to save from dinner...

...His best bet is relying on the funions and pringles from Seven-Eleven.

Security cameras were somehow caused to become obsolete through miracles not even the writer can comprehend.
